Why is the "My Comments" tab on yahoo news broken?
I comment quite a bit on yahoo news articles. However, recently I have not been able to see my comments. Whenever I click the "My Comments" tab, to look at my previous comments, I get the everlasting "loading" wheel icon, but it never shows my comments. I can click "New Comments" or "Popular" all day long and those pop right up. However, My Comments does not work. Any suggestions?

1 AnswerUnited Kingdom9 years agoPoll Question: please answer if you have adopted a child?
I have not been able to find studies that answer the following question, so I set up this semi-scientific poll : If you have already adopted children, do you consider yourself to be more Pro-Life, or Pro-Choice? (please only answer if you have already adopted a child)
1 AnswerPolls & Surveys1 decade agoAs a group, which has a higher rate of adopting children - pro-life or pro-choice?
I have often heard adoption being used as a solution from those in the Pro-Life movement, however the great majority of them that I have talked to have never adopted. I am curious to see which group actually does adopt more often - those who consider themselves Pro-Life or those who consider themselves Pro-Choice. Please site any studies which support your claim.

8 AnswersAdoption1 decade agoShould I just be patient with my wife?
To give you the short story, I have had problems with my marriage and issues on both of our sides. Most recently, she has been having an affair. It has been going on now for two months since I became aware. She has promised me multiple times that she ended it, only to find out they are still in communication and secretly meeting. What should I do? Is this just going to be part of my marriage for as long as I decide to stay with her? Will it taper off on its own? Should I leave her? We are both attending counseling weekly, and it is helping. However, as recently as yesterday I discovered they communicated, and I know in my heart they were together. Thank you for your help.
18 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoWho else feels GMC really dropped the ball when they discontinued the EV-1?
GMC could have been a global leader if they had continued what they started in the 90's with the EV-1. Instead, they decided to succumb to industry, political, and what they perceived as market pressure to quietly make the car go away.
Now, this company which used to dominate the auto industry, sits in a corner licking their wounds and trying to recover from bankruptcy, as a foreign company (Toyota) now holds that honor. Ironically, Toyota sits at the top for doing what GMC had the opportunity to do - make quality, affordable, and efficient vehicles.
To make it worse, Toyota just signed papers to partner with the only company to have a fully electric consumer vehicle on the highways (Tesla) to further development in electric vehicle technology.
You coulda been somebody, GMC, you coulda been a contender.

3 AnswersGMC1 decade agoWhy do some Christian's compare the world and our universe to a house?
I was approached by a Christian door knocker yesterday, and we talked for 45 minutes about the world. He used the old "If you see a house, wouldn't you assume that it had a creator" argument to explain why the world must have a creator also.
I used the pyramids as an example of why I do not buy those types of arguments.
We still to this day do not know for a fact how the pyramids were made. The only thing we know for sure is that they exist.
We can make some assumptions about their creation though - that they were made by humans, and those humans were ancient Egyptians. However, it is just a guess until we have enough evidence to conclude for certain how, and who created the pyramids. For all we know, they could have been built by nomad tribes, or (as some people believe) they could even have been built by space visitors.
The point being is that we know the universe and our planet exist. We can make assumptions about how they were created... but until we have evidence to show for a fact that a creation story such as found in the bible is true, what is the point in assuming it is - especially when the evidence we currently have would point to another conclusion???

10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWould the original Native Americans consider Americans legal immigrants when we entered their land?
I wish we could go back and ask them...
Why is there such an uproar about Mexican immigration now??? When we needed them during and after WWII, they were welcomed with open arms. There was no border crossing points, because the borders were wide open... So, why the huge change in public opinion?
It is not like the jobs are going to stay here if the Mexicans go away (Or is it just my imagination that the person on the phone sounds like they are from India whenever I call a help desk???)
Maybe, we should be spending more time focusing on bettering ourselves then who is sneaking in to "steal" our crumbs...

Are they trying to imply that their values are the only ones that are "American"? Does that make anyone who doesn't agree with them un-American?
Last time I checked, not even the founding fathers were in agreement on "American Values"...

The Joint Operating Environment 2010 Report was put together by the Joint Forces Command to predict what the military operational environment will look like in the next couple of years.

On page 31 of the report (in red highlights), they state that Peak Oil is occurring now and that demand will surpass supply by 2015.
What do you think about this report, and their predictions? If this report is true, what effect would it have on our country? Is there anything we can do to fix this?

2 AnswersSmall Business1 decade agoIs the movie "Book of Eli" a good movie?
I have to be frank, I am an Atheist. I tend to get annoyed by movies that try to push religion... it tends to be a big distraction even if it is a great movie.
I have heard mixed reviews on "Eli". Most critics said it was so, so. Some people I have talked to thought it was "awesome" but they were religious.
So, those of you that have seen it, what did you think? Good movie? Heavy on the religious overtones? Worth seeing?

18 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoSpiritually speaking... is it just me or are there more instances of women instigating physical conflicts?
I know that it is never right for a guy to put his hands on a woman, but I am seeing a pattern of women taking advantage of that rule by instigating a physical confrontation with a man by putting her hands on him first.
The Joe Francis/Jayde Nicole situation is a perfect example. She is a Playboy Playmate that somehow thought it is okay to push a guys head and dump her drink on him from behind in a crowded nightclub. Francis responded by reaching through a crowd, snatching her hair and dragging her towards him.
So, why is it some women believe it is okay to instigate a physical confrontation and then be surprised and cry victim when a man responds?
