  • I owe $23, 000 in government student loans. They are hasseling me, wanting me to pay $400 a month!?

I cannot afford that, however, offered them $100 a month and they "refused to take that" - is that legal? Aren't they required to take whatever I can offer them for payment??

  • Would having my fiance move in with me and my 2 year old son be a drawback in a custody hearing? ?

I currently have full custody of my son, and his father is trying to get joint custody; however he is being harrassing and telling me that by having my fiance move in with me it would make the courts look negatively on me??? Is this true? I feeli like it's just scare tactics, but am curious if there is anything wrong with my having him live with us.

  • What would my "baby'd daddy" have hired a private investigator for?

My son's dad informed me that he has hired a PI who advised him to get a DNA sample as a "precautionary" thing - there has never been a question at all regarding paternity. Other than that why would he possibly want to hire a PI or do a DNA test? I am a upstanding individual, work full time, no trouble ever - What is he hoping to find???

  • what can I use to clean a soft leather (not suede) ivory colored purse?

Since it's such a light color, it is showing dirt easily. Can I use leather car cleaner? Or Furniture cleaner?

  • What is safe to do during pregnancy?

I have heard so many different things, just wondering what you guys think...Can I dye my hair ( don't want to be a gray-haired Mom), can I keep getting my nails done? Can I still have coffee in the morning? Those are the main thing I'm concerned about. Can you imagine a gray haired pregnant lady going through caffine withdrawls~ yikes! Let me know what you think. Thanks!

  • How far along in Pregnancy before you start to feel the baby?

I am just curious, because I swear that last night I felt the fetus move, but I am not sure, as it's my first pregnancy. So, just wondering how far I'd have to be before I would be able to feel any movement.

  • How can I ask my best friend to give me some space?

My best friend, (who lives 1300 miles away from me, thinks she's gay, and is a little obsessed with me, and has Adult ADD) will not leave me and my fiance alone! I moved to a different city, with my fiance almost a year ago, and just recently found out we were pregnant. I know that my friend is just trying to be friendly, and keep in touch, and check in, but over the weekend, she called 22 times! Half of the time she calls it's for no reason, just to "talk", but we both (me and my fiance) like to relax on the weekends, and it's difficult when the phone rings off the hook. I don't want to hurt her feelings, but this has got to stop! She's very sensitive, and gets defensive when she asks why I don't answer the phone when she calls, and I just tell her we are very busy, getting ready for the baby, and trying to use the weekend to relax. I have no idea what to do to remedy this. Any ideas?

  • Can only certain features gain weight during pregnancy, for instance lips, or your nose?

I am about 12 weeks along in pregnanxy, and my friend swears that you can gain weight in some weird places. I've heard of water weight effecting your face as a whole, and feet, but can it effect just certain features like your nose getting bigger, or lips getting fuller?

  • What is the appropriate etiquette letting people know that I'm (gift) registered for my first pregnancy?

I just found out a few weeks ago that I'm pregnant. I just moved a year ago away from family and friend (1300 miles away) and probalby will not be having a baby shower. I am disappointed, since baby showers and gift giving is something my friends/family live for. How can I still let everyone know (my family already knows) that I'm pregnant, and also that I am registered (gift registry)? As it is my first pregnancy, I'd like to send announcements, but do you usually do that before or after or both? I likely cannot throw myself a shower, and it wouldn't do any good, considering most everyone is over 1300 miles away! What is the appropriate thing to do in this situation, since I'd still enjoy the cards/gifts, as would my family enjoy sending them? I just don't want to make it seem like that's the only reason I'm sending anything out.. What's a girl to do?
