What is safe to do during pregnancy?
I have heard so many different things, just wondering what you guys think...Can I dye my hair ( don't want to be a gray-haired Mom), can I keep getting my nails done? Can I still have coffee in the morning? Those are the main thing I'm concerned about. Can you imagine a gray haired pregnant lady going through caffine withdrawls~ yikes! Let me know what you think. Thanks!

you are to be worried about fumes, and caffeine intake. You can dye your hair, but stay natural color, no blond, this can go orange due to hormones, coffee is OK as long as you have a cup a day, not ten. Nothing wrong with nails as long as the fumes are minimal. good luck

Here is what is recommended...Dying your hair: You can. Is it totally safe...no. The chemicals in the dye can actually travel to the baby. Not only that, some chemical dyes don't work when you are pregnant because of the change in hormones. So it is a risk you have to be willing to take. You can get your nails done, there has been no research that says manicures or pedicures have any effect on pregnant women and their babies. Coffee in the morning...not recommended. Caffeine is not a safe substance for either you or your baby. Studies have shown caffeine is a factor in early miscarriages. That isn't to say you can't have any because you will loose your baby. But again, you have to factor in the risks. Research says a cup a day is a no-no, for your heath and your baby's. Maybe this is a good time for you to kick the caffeine addiction. Good Luck!

Dying your hair is something you need to ask your doctor about, just to be on the safe side. If you are having your nails done make sure it is in a well ventilated area. You aren't supposed to pain walls because of the fumes and some of those acrylic nail fumes are worse then latex paint. Use your best judgement. You can have one caffeinated drink a day, so one cup of coffee. Otherwise try to stick to water, milk, or juices. Soda is dehydrating so don't overdue it, even if it's decaf and diet.

ok well, coloring ur hair ( it's ok, only if the color doesn't have ammonia in it), about ur nails- the acetone and little acrylic particles are breathed in by u in the process of getting them done, coffee (decaf is best) but if u must, have only one good cup in the morning and water for the rest of the day, a good 16oz an hour to flush out the caffeine intake. any other concerns u can discuss them with a dietician at ur obgyn's doctor, mine's was very very helpful in these areas as well as the nurses on staff. Good luck.

You can color your hair during pregnancy. Just use natural color...henna for example. I don't see any problem with getting your nails done. I didn't do it, but I already have a child and long nails just got in the way. As for caffine, it's not good for the baby, but I still drank my morning pop and water the rest of the day. Good luck to you and congratulations.

As far as the nails, I would ask to wear one of the little masks, like the nail techs do, just in case. As far as dying your hair I don't see how that could harm the baby in your stomach, but you never know. With the coffee, I would limit my intake and ask my doctor about the possible effects of caffeine on the baby. Good luck.

Yes you can dye your hair while pregnant. It may not be the exact same colour due to the hormones. Yes you can have two coffees a day (no more that includes caffeinated sodas and hot chocolate and tea).
Yes you can have your nails done.

Hair dye fine after 8 weeks, one or 2 coffees no problem. Nails should be done in well ventilated area.

I bear in mind seeing something on the archives about microwave popcorn. i found a piece of writing that you would possibly want to opt to ascertain. i really do not comprehend even if it is secure at the same time as pregnant, it does have extra chemical compounds, which anybody might want to stay faraway from. The popcorn that you air pop or the single which you are able to make on the range seem truly some in good structure...i might want to follow those. Microwave Popcorn health Scare ..."Fluorooctanoic Acid, it is extra to the microwave-popcorn bags as a resistant coating, releases onto the popcorn at the same time as the bag is heated up and is then absorbed into the bloodstream and remains there for a lengthy time period. This chemical appears carcinogenic in lab animals. The FDA is now interpreting the impacts of this chemical in additional advantageous component..."

do what it takes to make you feel good about yourself.. chemicals.. even not the most to stong ones are supposed to have effect so refrain from dying your hair .. and limit coffee intake.. try shaving instead of waxing etc... ad if u really crave coffee try an egyptian coffe scrub.. just for the aroma.. mix one part coffee powder with 2 parts fullers earth(multani mitti) and use it as a a body scrub.. then moisturize with carrot juice.. seems crazy but its really helpful t make u feel good about yourself :)
