I just got hired at Huddle House today, but I'm not sure how tips work with my pay. I've never worked as a waitress before. Could someone help me understand? I was told I make $7.25 without tips, and $5.25 with tips, what does that mean?

My 8 month old cats right eye has a slight red ring around it and is leaking lime green eye boogers. It just turned red yesterday but had been leaking for a few days. It's a small amount, like a regular eye booger but it won't dry up and get crusty, it stays wet. She's not acting sick or anything, still eating and playing. What could it be?

I was on the phone earlier (after being on hold for an hour) with a lady who works at MS Unemployment and she made a comment to the effect of I will continue to receive unemployment until I return to work and make like 4 times my employment amount (I could have heard wrong, she rushed me off). So does that mean if it takes me two years to find a job, they have to continue to pay me? I've already been receiving it for a year.

And before the comments; yes, I have been out everyday looking for work, I've even moved to other parts of Mississippi looking for anything. I'd even take flipping burgers, I don't care! I was working 2 jobs one at Wal-Mart for a few months (part time) and one at a hospital in accounting for 4 years (full time) and they both decided to let me go within a month of each other. And I've been searching ever since.

My husband is 23 and he works in a factory/warehouse type of job all day from 7:30am-4pm. He does not like to eat breakfast or lunch because he claims it can make him feel sluggish/sleepy at work and he does not like it. So he comes home at night starving wanting to eat supper plus everything in the house, plus he is dead dog tired. I've tried getting up with him and making him breakfast and fixing him a light snack/lunch to take with him to work, and he has been taking it and he says he does feel a little better in the afternoon, but I want to do more. Are there any vitamins I can get for him that will make him feel better over all and strengthen his immune system? He agrees to take them if they will help. Thank you in advance for your help. :)

My fiancé and I just moved to Memphis, TN about a week or so ago. He goes to work from about 5:30 am till 5:30 pm and I am at home by myself during the day. I believe I would feel safer if I had a dog here with me. We have a huge 2 bedroom apartment so we can accommodate a big dog. I've never had an inside dog before so I was wondering what the best dog is to get to feel safer while at home?

Oh! In the lease it says we cannot have a pit bull, rottweiler, or terrier.

OK, I went to the OB/GYN on April 13th to get on the pill. I got the full exam; pap smear, piss test, blood drawn... yada yada. Ok, I was supposed to start my next period on Friday April 23rd. It didn't start. I wasn't worried cause I'm a little late a lot, BUT just to be safe I took two pregnancy tests that weekend, both with the first piss of the day since I know that's the best time to take one. OK, both were negative. Since they were negative I decided to go ahead and start the pill that Sunday instead of wait for my period. Ok well, that next thurdsday and friday (April 29th and 30th) I started to have almost black spotting when I went to pee. Then that Sat and Sun ( May 1st and 2nd) it was red and then went back to black till Thursday May 6th. During this whole time I was having cramps and lower back pain like I was having my period. Then it stopped. Well now Saturday May 8th when I go pee it is red again and I'm cramping again. I have no idea what this could be, I don't really have the funds to go back to see him right now.

Last night I was with a guy and today every time I go to the bathroom it hurts to pee and there is blood. Could it be from him being rough? I love rough but I've never bled before. Plus I have always used a condom. Could it be from not having sex for a long time and then having rough sex?

I want to get the Weight Watchers Complete Food Companion for either 2008 or 2009 but at the meetings here they won't let me get one because I'm not a member. But the books are like $40 or higher online compared to like $10 at a meeting.I'm not wanting to join the meetings, I know how to do it on my own. Does anyone know where I can get the book online for about the same as it would cost at a meeting?

I stay super busy with 2 jobs and school so I don't have time to really think about what I'm eating and whether it's really good for me or not. What are some easy things I could do or use with a super hectic schedule? I'll take just about any advice! Thank you in advance!

I want to start lifting weights, to loose some arm fat, but I don't know where to start. How heavy should they be and for how long should I use them for at a time and when do I get heavier ones?

I have recently decided it's time for me to loose weight and start working out. I have no idea where to start. Like what pound weights should I start out with and for how long till I get heavier ones? And how long do I use them at a time?

Does counting calories and stuff really work? How does it work? How much are you supposed to consume a day?

It seems like for every answer, there are about 20 spam answers. It's not like this in other categories. This makes it very difficult to get a good answer. What can be done to help stop this?
