When looking at hotels on Priceline, there are reviews for every hotel, apparently written by customers who booked their hotels through Priceline. But there's no apparent option to write our own reviews for hotels we've booked through Priceline anywhere in the Priceline app or website. Are the reviews on Priceline fake or what? Because I don't see any way of writing my own reviews. 

I've never stepped into to a dry cleaners' place in my life, so I don't have any idea what can or can't be dry cleaned.

I have a water-proof coat that could use some washing and I'm wondering if I can take it to the dry cleaners.

Is there any reason I shouldn't?

(Today is Feb 6. The employer deadline for mailing my W-2 was Jan 31, right?)

I've been waiting for my W-2 to arrive in the mail from a former employer, a restaurant I worked for last year, but it never arrived, so I called them, and they told me that they don't mail those and that I'll have to go there to get it and so I probably will go there to get it, since I don't want to wait any longer.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but what they're doing is illegal, right, because they're obligated by law to mail those W-2s to all their employees, right?

Anyway, I'm not so sure yet if reporting this is even worth my time, so I might just go there to get my W-2 and then just forget about it; but what do you think?

I feel like playing chess against people, both friends and strangers, and think playing on my Android phone could be fun, but when I search for free chess apps, I see there are a whole bunch of them and all have good ratings, so I'd like to know what people think - which one should I try?

Please comment only on apps that you have tried yourself, instead of just repeating to me someone else's suggestion or sending me to some top 10 list.

I just wasted a whole day testing free video editors and not finding any to my satisfaction....

Know any good free video editors?

Please only name ones that you have personally used - don't just paste some list that you simply found online even though you haven't actually used any of them yourself.

Ones I've tried already, but don't quite like for one reason or another are: ezvid (horrible audio options), DVD Soft Free Video Editor (works fine, but extremely limited features), Lightworks (cumbersome/confusing), Presto Video Works (not bad, but some things are still confusing), VSDC Free Video Editor (cumbersome/confusing), Windows Movie Maker (crashes constantly), Zwei-Stein (cumbersome/confusing).

Please let me know if you've used any better ones.

I live in one state but did online work for - and was paid by - an employer based in another state. I never left my state while employed.

If someone asks: "Have you worked in any state?"... Do I say yes or no?

I don't have experience sending packages, so I don't know these things.

I have some textbooks that I am selling to Amazon and other textbook retailers. The textbook retailers have provided shipping labels that say "No postage necssary if mailed in the United States" to be placed inside and pasted onto the packages.

The shipping labels are labeled "Media Mail." The shipping labels guarantee that shipping costs, including the boxes, would be paid for, right? The USPS website lists flatrate priority mail boxes as costing $0.00. Can those free "Priority Mail" boxes be used with the "Media Mail" shipping labels?

Do I have to go to the post office, obtain those free boxes, and take them home in order to package the textbooks, or can bring the textbooks unboxed to the post office and get the free boxes and package them there, or do I have to find and use my own boxes?

Up until today, I still had my old Yahoo! Avatars image as my profile pic, even though Yahoo! Avatars site is dead.

I wanted to change my profile pic to something else, so I went to this page https://profile.yahoo.com/ to change it and I tried clicking on the "no picture" choice, which reverted my profile pic into the default silhouette icon, but that's not what I wanted.

I'd like to upload an image of my own to use as my profile pic.

When I click on the profile image in the center of the page, there are three choices

1) A "No Photo" choice, that changes the picture into the default blank white silhouette against a gray background.

2) A Facebook connection link, which I don't want to use, because I don't want my Facebook profile pic as my Yahoo pic.

3) A very very old custom profile image that I uploaded to Yahoo ages ago that I don't want to use. I'd like to replace this pic with something else, but I can't find the option to do so anywhere. Yahoo's site format has changed dramatically since I uploaded that pic years ago - whatever method I used to upload it before no longer seems available.

When plugging any USB device into any computer for the first time, it installs and then says "Your new device is ready to use,"...

But I would like for my computer to forget about one of my installed devices (an external hard drive), so that I can plug it back in, so that Windows can install it again, as if it's a new device, if that's possible.

Please describe how to do that.

Someone else mentioned doing this in an answer to my previous question ( /question/index?qid=20140... ), but didn't clearly describe how to do it, so I'm trying to figure out exactly how to do so.

My external hard drive worked fine for years with all my computers, up until a couple days ago, when someone pulled the power plug on a computer while the hard drive was still connected (don't do that!), causing everything, along with the hard drive, to shut down abruptly.

The hard drive probably got damaged when that happened.

Afterwards, when I tried connecting the hard drive to my new laptop, it made clicking noises and the laptop failed to read it and displayed a message that says the drive malfunctioned.

I thought the drive was done for.

But when I connected the damaged hard drive to my older computers, an old desktop & laptop, the drive seemed to work fine.

I've tried connecting it many times to the old computers and to the new laptop, but the weird thing is that only the new laptop results in the clicking noises. It seems to work fine (no problems reading, copying, editing files) with my old computers.

So why would the hard drive only have problems with the new laptop, but not with the old computers?

Before you give me advice on backing up my data, getting a new drive, and so on... don't worry, I've already taken care of that.

My question is just why the problem only occurs with one laptop, my newest one that I just bought, but not with the old computers.

Could the newer USB ports of the new laptop somehow be different from old USB ports, so that the damaged drive has trouble with the new laptop but not with the old USB ports?

There was an interesting story in the news not too long ago, but I haven't heard anything about it recently, so I wonder what happened.

A US couple, Timothy James Monahan and Jennifer Lyn Vanhorn Monahan of Liberty, Missouri, adopted a kidnapped girl, named Anyeli Hernandez Rodriguez, from Guatemala; however, even though the girl's mother, Loyda Rodriguez, has been trying for years to get the girl back, the Monahans have argued that they get to keep her anyway,

The girl was already four years old when she was taken from Guatemala, so it's not as though she has no memory of her real country and family.

Last I heard, the US government said that they have no obligation to return the girl to Guatemala, because the US and Guatemala hadn't signed any agreement for returning abducted children.

The most recent updates on this story I could find are from a year ago, so I wonder what has happened since then.

I have never claimed any rewards on Club Nintendo before so I'm not sure how it works. (To be clear, I am talking about Club Nintendo and Coins, not the Wii Shop and Wii Points)

I have a Wii, but not a 3DS.

My Club Nintendo Coins are about to expire, so I have to buy something now and can't wait for the games selection to change, but I already own the Wii games currently being offered on Club Nintendo,

So... I'm wondering what happens if I redeem my Club Nintendo points for a 3DS game. Do they give you a redeemable code that can be used for downloading the game or what? I don't have a 3DS, but maybe I can trade in my coins for the 3DS game and then let someone else download it. Would that be possible?

I'm unfamiliar with how to cite it because it's online. What date am I supposed to use if there's no publication date? Please tell me exactly how to do it; don't just send me a link to some "how-to-reference guide."

There is also a printed version of the book, so, even though I used the online version, not the printed version, I've considered simply citing the printed version, instead of the online version (the printed book and the online book are the same, I am assuming).

But, if I cite a printed book, then I'm supposed to cite the city of publication, right?
