Caroline Mae
Hi. I'm "Caroline Mae". Just kidding. But I wish my name was Caroline. ANYWHO, I like to write stories, but according to the Answers community, I suck. Which majorly downs my vibe. I also love to play music. I play 3 instruments. I feel as if it is my only talent. I am easily shot down, so I guess I don't know why I ask people to judge me. It's stupid, but I need critisim. I hope I can answer your questions, and if I've got any, I hope you can answer mine.
Purchasing rights for a charity performance?
I want to put on a self-produced play this summer- most likely Steel Magnolias- that will be totally volunteer based. All of the tickets will be used as a fund raiser for my mom's cancer. My life is theatre; I'll be studying acting next year, so this is the event I wanted to do. Do I have to purchase rights? Or could I just buy or borrow the script without purchasing rights? Please help if you can answer!

4 AnswersPerforming Arts7 years agoHow much do Tony award winners make?
I'm just curious...
I know theatre actors really don't make much, but Tony Award winners have to make more than usual, right?
If anyone has an idea, that'd be great!
1 AnswerTheater & Acting8 years agoBest use of lemon juice to fade freckles?
I have freckles I want to fade because they're gross. But they aren't the normal cute freckles you'd usually think of that are clustered around your nose and cheeks. Mine are just spots randomly placed on my face.
Which is is the best way to fade these kinds of freckles? I read when using lemon juice for the normal kinds of freckles you just spread it all over your face, but I don't need to fade my whole face...
Should I just put the lemon juice straight on my freckles/spots as best I can or should I add in honey and other stuff to make it thicker?
Thanks for you time and answers.

2 AnswersMakeup8 years agoSenior pictures- Theatre theme?
My senior pictures are in a few weeks, and I need some ideas for a theatre themed one. Theatre is my life... so I don't want to bypass having a senior portrait for it.
I have a Broadway street sign, some old scripts/programs/posters. Should I hang up some costumes in the back? Should I buy some comedy/tragedy masks?
Please help with some ideas.
Thank you! It's much appreciated.
1 AnswerTheater & Acting8 years agoHelp staying motivated to loose weight?
I wanted to loose 20 pounds in 3 months. The first week I dieted, I lost 5 pounds. The next week I gained it all back. Now, I've wasted a month and have 2 months to loose 20 pounds.
I HATE exercising. Especially running. But, I go on walks, jump rope, and go to zumba on Mondays.
I slip out of dieting SO frequently, and it's so frustrating to me!
I think it's essentially very easy to loose weight-- JUST.DO.IT. But for some reason it's not working.
Please help me with ways to stay motivated and help the healthy lifestyle become my real lifestyle- not just some experiment.
Any kind words of wisdom are appreciated!
1 AnswerDiet & Fitness8 years agoGood comedic monologues?
I'm starting to prepare for my college auditions for next year already. I've found a decent amount of dramatic monologues I can choose from.
I'd like your help with comedic monologues.
It obviously has to be not overdone (the rarer the better.), it has to be from a published play not an original monologue, and I want it to be one where the character is DOING something funny rather than just SAYING something funny to showcase my acting skills.
You could give me the title of a specific monologue, or if you have a hilarious play in mind you can let me know that too.
Thank you kindly!

My director posted one clue/hint as to what our spring play is, and I spend everyday in between plays wondering what the next one will be, so I need to know!!
What do Paul Newman, Helen Hunt, Frank Sinatra, Eric Stoltz, Robby Benson, Matthew Perry, Penelope Ann Miller, and Maggie Lacey have in common?

1 AnswerTheater & Acting8 years agoGood books series or novel?
I love to read, and I need books for the summer! I'm reading 2 series: The Gallagher Girl Series and the Heist Societ Series. Both are kind of on hold until the next book gets published. I like Young Adult Fiction with like cheesy romance, but also adventure. I'd like a good series, but I'll read just single novels, too. :D Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm 16, by the way. Thanks in advance!
7 AnswersBooks & Authors9 years agoReally quick question on a character trait?
I'm writing a story that involves a Prince. His name is Benjamin and the main character calls him Benji. Now, I had originally and always planned that he would have brown hair. But lately I've been thinking I should make him blonde.
A minor thing, I know, but it can say a lot about a person. ;)
So, yahoo answers community, should Prince Benjamin be blonde or brunette?
3 AnswersBooks & Authors9 years agoHelp with a character?
I'm starting to really get dedicated to a story of mine. Long story short, for my own privacy, the main girl goes to England for an extensive amount of time, meets the young prince, and falls in love. Probably. But here's the thing, that sounds really boring, right? So I need something to spice it up. I would like the Prince to be hiding something. I want something that keeps you turning the pages and go, "HOLY CRAP, WHAT JUST HAPPENED?!" (The main girl has no interest in royalty, England, or anything. She got dragged along for the trip. She knows nothing about the Prince.) I had the thought of maybe he was once in an insane asylum, but that just didn't fit. Or maybe he was helping release prisioners or slaves. I HAVE NO IDEA! :S So please, Yahoo Answers, spit ball some ideas for me! Thank you all so much!
4 AnswersBooks & Authors9 years agoIs it possible to just publish one copy of my book?
I'm still in high school, but I love to write. I'm almost done with a story that I really love. Is it possible to contact a publisher and have just a single book made for my own personal use? I'm not interested in it getting published publicly yet. I would like just one copy of it made for me. Is this possible or is my head in the clouds?
2 AnswersBooks & Authors9 years agoQuestions on short stories?
I lately have been trying to write a novel, but I feel like I rush into things too much. Therefore, people aren't enjoying what I write.
But I used to write a series of "short stories" that were fun and enjoyable to write and read.
I just have a few questions on the concept of a short story:
1. How long is an average/typical short story?
2. Is there a need to have a full drawn-out plot line?
3. Is it typical to put many short stories that relate to each other all in one book?
4. How many characters are usually in a short story?
I'm looking to continue writing shorts, so all help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!
1 AnswerBooks & Authors10 years agoWhat do you think of the beginning of my book?
This is the first little bit of the first chapter of my book. It's about a girl who goes on a family vacation for an entire month and meets the Prince. (I don't want to give out too much information...) I have drafts written out and such, and there is a lot more that needs to be done, but I thought I'd type up the first page or so for you guys to give me your thoughts! Please be honest, but keep my feelings in mind. I will take all constructive criticism IF it is not said in a harsh way. Thank you!!
“Yo, Julie! I’m going to Jill’s house. I’ll probably stay the night, if there’s any chance of you actually caring,” I yelled upstairs to my mother.
“Amelia Marie Alcott! You get back here and show some respect to your mo—”
“Bye!” I said as I slammed the door on my way out.
Jill has been my best friend since I was five. We met in preschool and have practically spent all of our time together since then. I feel like she’s the only person who actually understands me. Even her family understands me more than my family does. I sleepover at her house almost every single day. Even on school nights! She’s pretty much the sister that I never had.
As I was driving to Jill’s house, I saw a billboard that said “Help Africa.” I’m not a very helpful person, but if I was forced to help anybody, I would choose the people of Africa. I’m not sure why, though. I guess they just need it the most.
When I turned into the driveway of 53 Westminster Avenue, I almost hit Jill’s little brother, Jakey, with my car.
“Hey! Watch it! Do you want to be charged with murder, person?” Jakey screamed at the top of his lungs.
“It’s just me!” I said as I stuck my head out the window.
“Oh, hi Neeley,” and he picked up his basketball and walked away.
I reached over to the passenger seat to grab my majorly over sized purse, turned off the car, and stepped out onto the driveway. As I made my way to the front door, I noticed a little plastic tiara on the grass. My guess was that it used to belong to Jill, who always wanted to be a princess, but was handed down to her younger sister, Caprice, Jakey’s twin.
I walked right through the front door and made my way up the stairs to Jill’s room. I haven’t knocked or rang the doorbell for years now. This place is my second home.
Jill wasn’t in her bedroom, so I decided just to sit down in her big pink chair and wait.
Even though Jill and I are best friends, we are completely different. I am a tomboy. Jill is a girly girl. I am not shy at all. I’ll start a conversation with a complete stranger walking down the street next to me. But Jill lives in her bubble. She is deathly afraid of strangers. I have medium length, dark, wavy, red hair. Jill has long, straight, bleach blonde hair. I’m really tall. I think I’m 5’8”. Jill is, you guessed it, quite short at only 5’2”.
But the one thing I’m envious of Jill is her family. She has two siblings, a cat, and parents who actually understand her. All I have is a mom and dad who want me to be perfect.
“Oh, hi! I didn’t know you were coming today,” said Jill.
“Sorry, I come almost every day, is there a problem?” I asked.
“No, of course it’s not a problem! Actually, it’s really good! Come here, I need to show you something,” Jill stated as she motioned to follow her out the door.
I willingly followed as we moved next door.
“Are you remodeling the guest room?” I asked.
“Well, kind of…” said Jill as she moved her head from one shoulder to the other.
“What do you mean?” I said blankly.
Then Jill said something that made my heart fill with joy and happiness, “We’re making this your bedroom. So you’re officially part of the family!”
