What do you think about boys wearing cheer bows?
In Ohio the male cheer captain wore his hair bow to school and was refused lunch by the lunch lady -- his squad and his school rallied around him! So cool! We have a guy on our squad with long hair and he wears his hair up in a curly ponytail with a bow. He comes to our curler parties n everything, and he looks totally hot in his bow. So glad to see this becoming more common! What do you think?
2 AnswersHair5 years agoBoyfriend wearing a bridesmaid's dress?
My BF has been asked to be a bridesmaid in the wedding of an old family friend. She wants him to wear the bridesmaid dress. He's got shoulder length hair and so he would do the same hairdo (roller set at the salon the morning of), makeup, and nail polish as the other bridesmaids, as well. I think he could pull this off and it'd be a lot of fun to be at the wedding in our dresses together. Has anyone had experience with this? Any thoughts on how to help him go through with it?
12 AnswersWeddings7 years agoCurling my boyfriend’s hair for cheer?
My BF made the cheerleading squad for next year (I’m already on it). We’re excited to cheer together and he looks super-cute in his outfit. Here’s the thing: he’s got long hair, to his shoulders, and we’re trying to figure out how he should wear it for games, pep rallies, and school on gamedays. (He’s the only guy on the squad.) I want him to put it up in a high, curly pony with a bow, just like the girls, and so does the sponsor. To do that he’ll have to come to our curler parties, and sleep in curlers the night before gamedays, and wear them in public sometimes too. He’s worn curlers before, just hanging out at my house, but he’s afraid of being seen in curlers and now he says he’s not sure he wants to wear the hairbow, either. Has anyone else had this situation? How can I get him comfortable wearing curlers, and his hair in a bow? Should we just force him to go along?
4 AnswersHair7 years agoMy boyfriend looks HOT as a girl and I want him to crossdress.?
A couple of months ago my BF and I were fooling around in my bedroom and I got him to let me dress him up. I put him in a dress, curled his hair (which is shoulder length) in my hot rollers, and did his makeup. I couldn't believe how gorgeous he looked! And we both got super turned on. A couple of times since then I've put makeup on him, done his hair, and painted his nails, and he's gone out in public like that. Now we're wondering where this is going -- I really want him to start crossdressing regularly and I know it would make him happy, but he's afraid of getting made fun of if he wears a skirt to school, etc. We really haven't talked about it and he's pretending it's "just for fun" but I know it's more than that. I'm not gay but I love being with him when he's dressed like a girl. Has anyone faced this with your guy? How should we proceed? Is it worth freaking out our friends & families? Help!!

Hi, my BF tried out for cheer and made the squad (I am already on it). He looks super-cute in his outfit, and I can't wait to start cheering with him. Here's the thing: he's got long hair (just below shoulder-length), and we're trying to decide how he should wear it for games, pep rallies, gamedays at school, and competitions. His outfit is identical to the girls except it's shorts instead of a skirt. Here are the options as we see them:
1. Wear his hair back in a low "guy's" ponytail.
2. Wear it up in a higher ponytail with a ribbon to match the girls.
3. Wear the same hairstyles as the girls.
We wear our hair in several different styles: high curly ponytails, down in curls, braided pigtails, etc. We really pride ourselves on uniformity and he doesn't want to "stand out." Has anyone ever dealt with this before?
(Please dont say "Cut his hair." It's gorgeous & I'd kill him if he cut it off.)
Thanks!
2 AnswersHair7 years agoGuy cheerleader in girls' outfit?
We have one guy on our cheer squad. He’s got long hair, down to his shoulders, and he wears it pulled back in a low ponytail, with a ribbon to match the girls, for games and pep rallies. Since he’s the only guy he carries pompoms and does the same routines as the girls. He’s really a terrific cheerleader and we all love having him on the squad. (And no, he’s not gay: his GF is co-captain of the poms.) Here’s the thing: we’ve got competitions coming up this spring and we (the sponsors and the cheer co-captains, including me) think it’d be best if he just went all the way and wore the girls’ outfit, and did his hair like ours – high curly ponytail with a bow. He already wears the same outfit, basically, except he wears shorts instead of a pleated skirt, and his hair’s not up and curly like ours. Also I know his GF curls his hair on rollers sometimes. I’ve heard that more boys are opting to cheer wearing the girls’ outfits, especially since Glee. Our sponsor is really big on a uniform look. We haven’t mentioned it to him yet but I think he’ll be willing to wear the girls outfit. Have you seen this? Do you think the judges will care?
Thanks and please no “That’s so gay” answers!
11 AnswersFashion & Accessories8 years agoWhat about Hair Bows for guys?
I’m a cheerleader and I wear a ponytail with a bow to school 2 or 3 times a week. I also like to wear hair bows when I’m not in uniform. My BF, who has gorgeous shoulder-length hair, is always fiddling with my bows, pulling out the ribbons, etc. It drives me crazy to have to re-tie my bow 3 times a day because he messes with it. So last week I brought an extra ribbon to school and warned him if he pulled out my bow he’d have to wear one himself. (I think he’s secretly envious :) ) Sure enough at lunch he did it and I made him turn around and I tied a white ribbon on his ponytail and told him he had to wear it the rest of the day. He did! And it actually looked really cute, and he got lots of compliments. I want him to start wearing bows regularly. I’m thinking of getting him some pony holders with bows, like these:

I’ve seen a guy cheerleader with a ribbon on his ponytail, to match the girls, but never just a guy wearing one in his hair cause it looked good. Anyone else seen guys wearing bows? Do you ever dress up your guy’s pony with a pretty bow?
2 AnswersHair8 years agoNew hairdo for my BF....?
My BF has gorgeous thick long hair . Here's the thing: he pretty much does the boring guys' ponytail look 90% of the time. I've told him it's time for a change and I took him to my stylist, who gave him a blunt cut just off his shoulders. She suggested we try some body and wave, maybe w/velcro rollers. I'm ready to pull out the curlers, barrettes, headbands, you name it. I'd love to hear from other gals who've "spiced up" their guys' hair using traditional feminine styles. And if all you can think of to say is "That's so gay", please don't waste your time (or mine!)
Thanks guys --
1 AnswerHair10 years agoGuy getting a pedicure at nail salon?
I got a manicure/pedicure this morning and there was a guy there getting a pedicure--with polish! He was friendly with the girl doing his toenails and he's obviously a regular. He had on a skort thingy, with his hair in a high ponytail with a stretchy headband. He got his nails done a reddish-brown/copper color. I thought he looked HOT and it was cool to have a guy there getting his nails done with the rest of us girls. Anyone seeing more guys getting mani-pedis? What do you think about it?
6 AnswersOther - Beauty & Style10 years agoGuy on Poms/drillteam?
Hi, we just finished tryouts for poms (drillteam) and 2 guys tried out and one made the squad! He's not gay or anything -- his GF is a cheerleader -- but the rule is everyone wears the same outfit (basically a cheer outfit including an A-line skirt), does their hair the same (high ponytails with bows -- he's got shoulder-length hair), carries pompoms etc. Some of the girls think it's queer but most of us think, if he's willing to do the work and wear the outfits he should be able to perform with the rest of us. Has anyone else had this situation? What would you think about a guy being on your squad, & wearing the girls' outfits?
Thanks!
1 AnswerFashion & Accessories1 decade agoNail polish for my boyfriend?
My BF got me a mani-pedi package at a local spa for my birthday and for fun I got him to come too. They buffed his fingernails but did his toenails to match mine – sort of a coral pink shade. I loved it and he actually kinda dug it too. I’ve made him keep his toes painted since (it was last weekend) and I’m thinking this summer I’d like to have him wear toenail polish regularly. I’d like to know if other couples do this. What shades do you use on your BF/husband? What kind of sandals does he wear? (I wear Dr Scholl’s all the time in summer and I’m thinking of getting him a pair.) How do friends/family react? Should I keep his toes painted all the time or just for special occasions?
5 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoMy BF's a cheerleader --?
...& I'm kinda over the whole cheer thing since I quit the squad to get a job this year. I want to support him, and I think he looks hot in his outfit (which is just like the girls cept he wears shorts instead of the skirt. Since he's the only guy he carries pompoms & everthing.) Here's the thing: he has long hair (which I love) and the rules are he has to wear it like the girls: high ponytail with a ribbon. So at school on gamedays I'm in my jeans and sweater, with my hair down, & he's in his cheer outfit with his hair up in a cute ponytail with a bow. This was fun when we were both on the squad, and dressed alike; now it feels kinda strange. The other thing is, he’s always gone to the "curler parties" on Thursday nights before games, & now the girls are bugging him to let them start curling his ponytail like they do theirs! Like I said, I think it’s great that he loves to cheer, but it's sorta odd that he's usually dressed cuter & girlier than I am. I’d feel bad about complaining....but I'm not sure how I'll feel about him having his hair done in curlers by the other cheerleaders.
Anyone have a similar situation? Does your guy dress girlier than you? Should I support him or let him know that this is starting to weird me out?
4 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoMy BF in rollers....?
My BF has been growing his hair out for about a year -- it's now right at his shoulders, all one length (& gorgeous!) I've been bugging him to let me try some new styles on him and last weekend I put it up in my hot rollers for the first time. He looked sooo cute in hair rollers and I discovered that he was quite, err, excited about it. Turns out he is hugely turned on by having his hair done in rollers. I've talked to him a bit about why that is, if he's a crossdresser (the answer's "Maybe") , & so on.... but the question now is what next? I love curling his hair and would enjoy having the two of us in rollers on a regular basis, & I don't mind it being a part of our sex life -- I'm going to put him in sponge curlers and have him sleep in them Friday night :) ....but at the same time it's a bit weird for him to enjoy it so, and I'm not sure where this is all headed.
From looking online around it's clear there's a whole bunch of guys who like having curlers in their hair, and women who like setting them. Anyone else experienced this? Do you ever set your guy in rollers, & does he dig it? I'd love to hear from couples with similar experiences.
Thanks so much!
3 AnswersHair1 decade agoHair advice for groom with long hair?
My wedding is in Newport Beach in March. My fiance has long hair, just below his shoulders. My bridesmaids & I are all doing updos and we're trying to decide how to do my hubby-to-be's hair for the ceremony. I like doing his hair in various styles and I want it to look pretty for the big day. So, the choices are:
1. Low ponytail with a blue velvet ribbon in a bow
2. "Messy upo"
3. Loose curls (probly pulled back at the crown)
The last two would require roller sets at the salon that morning. The stylist at the salon in the resort said she can put his hair up in rollers early, before the gals come in, but he'd probably have to spend the morning in rollers till she styles it after we've all left. She definitely wants to do something fun and special with his hair!
Anyone ever get creative with your man's hair for your wedding? I'd love suggestions/photos!
1 AnswerHair1 decade agoGuy cheering in girl's outfit?
Hi we have kind of an unusual question on our cheer squad and we need to decided soon. We have one guy on our squad – he’s a terrific cheerleader and stunter and he’s super-popular with the girls on the squad. He’s got long hair and for games (and gamedays at school) he wears it up in a high ponytail with a ribbon that matches the rest of the squad. (The girls all curl their ponytails but he hasn’t been doing his in curls, yet). Here’s the thing: we’ve got the state cheer competition coming up and we’re thinking he should wear a girls’ outfit for it. It’s a little weird with just one guy, and he already carries pompoms and pretty much does the girls’ routines. He’s not a big burly guy (not even the tallest on our squad), and the only real difference in his outfit would be that he’s wearing an a-line skirt, instead of shorts, and curling his hair. The co-captains (including me) and the sponsor think it’s a great idea, and I know he’d just as soon wear what everyone else is wearing. (No he’s not gay.)
I’ve read and heard that more guys are opting to wear the girls’ outfits to cheer n march in. I wonder if anyone’s ever seen this – would you be okay with it on your squad?
Thanks so much,
TT
4 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoCurling my boyfriend's hair?
Hi guys, does anyone have experience with curling a guy'shair? My BF has gorgeous auburn hair just below his shoulders, andhe wears it back in a ponytail most of the time. I got him to go to my stylist and she suggested we try curling it, either with hot rollers or velcro rollers. She said she could do it in rollers at the salon but we might want to try it at home first. I'm trying to get him to let me roll it this weekend. Have you curled up with your guy before? Any suggestions on getting him comfortable in rollers? What about styling his curled hair? I'd appreciate any experience/suggestions, thanks!
3 AnswersHair1 decade agoMale cheerleader - long hair?
We have one guy on our squad and he's got long hair -- just below his shoulders. He usually wears it in a regular low ponytail for games, but wev'e got state finals coming up and we're thinking he should do it like the girls for competitions: high curly ponytail with a bow. The sponsor is all for it, n I've actually heard that more guys are wearing the girls' outfits in comps these days. Any suggestions (other than 'cut his hair,' 'that's so gay,' blah blah blah)?
Thanks!
13 AnswersHair1 decade agoGuy at cheerleading camp?
We just got back from cheer camp and there was a squad there with a guy on it -- who dressed just like the girls. He had shoulder-length hair and he wore all the girls' outfits, including skirts (for the exhibitions) & high curly ponytails with bows. I saw him in curlers a couple of times. He was a really nice guy and I was told he's not gay -- he just wanted to cheer as a girl. A couple of people told me this is becoming more common.
Anyone ever seen this? Would you want a guy cheering on your squad dressed like the girls?
4 AnswersFashion & Accessories1 decade agoPutting my husband in panties?
Okay, after a lot of thought, and prayer, and discussion with my sister, I've decided it's time to take the next step. My husband has worn panties to bed, and I know it turns him on. He's slept in nighties, and even with his hair in curlers. I know he enjoys it but I'm pretty sure he's going to resist going to panties full-time. I'm determined to make this change, for reasons having to do with our relationship, my need for control, & so on. I'd love to hear some suggestions from wives / husbands who've made this leap, especially when it was resisted at first. Any direction about how to get started, being firm, tossing his guy's undies, and so on, would be most helpful.
I'm super-nervous but ready to take this next step!
8 AnswersLesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender1 decade agoGuy in headband, capris?
So I was at a pool party at the local country club on Saturday -- y’know, a bunch of ladies in sundresses and guys in golf shirts. And a guy (in his late 20s / early 30s, I’d say) shows up in white capri pants; gold textured t-shirt; shoulder-length hair back in a thin girls’ headband; gold hoop earrings; flipflops with kinda beige-y toenail polish. Plus he looked like he had a touch of makeup on. He got a lot of stares (and some snide comments), but I thought it took a lot of guts to go out like that, plus he was TOTALLY HOT!! (Also he was there with his wife and 8-year-old son, so I’m guessing he’s not gay.)
What do y’all think of guys dressing girly/metrosexual like this?
