  • Current Currency Conversion Rate for Malaysian Ringgit?

My mom is planning a trip to Europe this coming month and we're wondering where would be the best place to change Malaysian Ringgit to Euro. We realised in the past that sometimes its best to change in the country where we're going to rather than from our home country.

Can you please help to provide the rate of exchange for Malaysian Ringgit to Euro (current rate please) from the following countries:

    Italy (Rome)

    France (Paris)

    UK (London)

    Spain (Barcelona)

    Thanks a million!!

  • Which Internet browser do you use??

I'm doing a survey (personal) to see what are the most commonly used browsers at current. I'd appreciate if you can tell me what you're using now. Eg. Internet Explorer 6, Mozilla Firefox 2.0.. etc.

Version numbers will be great as well if you can provide it.

At the end of this, I will post in this response, the stats that I've compiled based on the answers I receive.

Please also indicate if you use more than one browser on your computer, and if so, what they are.

    Thanks to all in advance!!

  • Vista Power Button refuses to SHUT DOWN?

I've got a Dell Dimension with AMD 3600 processor and Vista Home Premium OEM.

The Power Button refuses to shut down when I click on it. I've gone into Control Panel - Power Options and changed, and made sure that it is set to Shut Down, but still, when I mouse over the power button, it shows that clicking it will put the computer into hibernate mode. Tried clicking on it, and it does go into hibernate mode.

How do I get it to bloody shut down??? Configuring it in Power Options doesn't seem to work even though I use the administrator account to do so.

The shut down menu's Shut Down option does work though and this is what I'm using for the moment, but I'd really like to get it to be able to shut down by clicking on the power button.

    HELP!!!!

  • Vista Home Premium shutdown takes forever after..?

Was playing around with Vista Home Premium and turned on Guest Account, then created a new Standard Account, then turned off Guest Account. Then re-created my Internet Connections (Dial-Up and Broadband) using the Administrator Account so that the Standard Account could use it to connect to the Internet. After that, since that in fact, shutdown of Vista just takes forever. I come back to the PC an hour later and it still says 'Shutting Down'.

Anybody knows if this is an identified known bug in Vista? I've searched the KB in Microsoft but couldn't find anything. Or if you've got a good suggestion how to get around this?

I've since tried deleting all the Internet Connections and recreating new ones. I've also turned off Guest Account and deleted the Standard Account trying to get back to the state the computer was in before but it still hangs during shutdown.

Appreciate all answers, but please don't tell me to dump Vista. I've my reasons for playing around with this damn OS. Thanks.

  • Picture on Glass ??

I would like to have some pictures printed onto glass in full colour.

Thing is, I intend to put the pictures in the bathroom which gets a lot of steam when we shower in it. Placing those pictures in frames or even between 2 pieces of glass just won't cut it as the steam reaches into the picture and ruins it.

Does anyone know where I can have colour pictures printed onto glass? What's the website link? I've tried googling all sorts of key phrases like "picture image print in glass" but couldn't find anything.

    Help!!

    Thanks to all in advance.

  • Anyone ever requested refund from Income Tax dept?

Last year June, I requested refunds for 2004 to current assessments. Kampong Attap HQ said to check back in 2-3 months. Called them up in November, they said my file transferred to Cheras for processing. Called Cheras also in Nov and they said they're in the midst of processing it and to call back in 1 month. Since December when I call them to check on the status, all they do is ask my file number, then tell me its in process and will take about 3 months to do so and telling me to call back in 3 months time. I've been calling them every month without fail and its the same answer each time.

Then today I call and got a different answer. They said they only got my electronic file for 2006. 2004/2005, they don't have it so can only process 2006 refunds.. which will take 3 months. For 04/05, I need to submit my assessment at Kg Attap. What the f*&^ ????

Anyone been through this process before and what did you do to finally expedite this whole thing? How long before you got the cheque?

  • Is my apartment building dangerous?

Since the tsunami earthquake couple of years ago (we could feel the quake in our apartment - some 300km away from the epicenter), cracks have appeared in my apartment building. These cracks tend to be near the top of the walls, just below the beams where i believe the final row of bricks do not quite meet the beams and is filled with cement. The cracks show both on the outside as well as the inside of the apartments, and in many cases, heavy rain causes water to seep in through these cracks in the wall.

If there are any structural engineers out there, can you please advise is you think the apartment complex is in danger of collapsing?

Also, the apartment block sits at the top of a gradient hillside of which on the bottom of that slope (about 100' away) there's been construction of a new apartment complex. I think the piling work for that complex has also affected our building's structure as i notice new cracks appearing in the walls every few weeks or so.

  • How do I ? Electric wire cattle line using batteries..?

I'd like to use some standard 'D'-size batteries, hook them up together and make a miniature electrified "cattle" fence. Can anybody tell me how I can go about doing this? How to make the wires "short" when you touch it, so that it gives a slight jolt?

Also, will it be possible to hook it up so that each time the "electric fence" gets triggered, it will also trigger off an alarm bell?

  • Sliding glass shower door for corner?

My 2nd bathroom has a very small entrance (30"). Inside, immediately after the doorway, there is probably another 3" on 1 side and another 1' on the other side of the wall where the basin is. I want to change the current wood door to a sliding frosted glass (or plexiglass) door that is able to slide past one of the corners onto the side wall. The opposite wall has a mini basin 1'x10" which i am not going to move.

I'm thinking the door will probably run on tracks that are curved at the corners and will have to be of a flexible material or else it will be jointed in many places for it to work.

Does anyone know where I can get such a door or if it even exists? Website URLs will be great.

I've seen plastic doors that can do the job but I'm looking for something as close to real glass as possible, and the plastic ones just don't do.

  • Kitty obedience help?

3 mth old kitty, cute as hell, but also the devil incarnate. The mommy's fine and extremely well-behaved (even though it was a walk-in stray). My question is, is it at all possible to 'train' kittens? And if not, then at least some method or other to restrict its field of play/destruction? And lastly, please please please tell me that this is only a phase.

Thanks in advance for all constructive answers!

I've only ever had experience training dogs/puppies. This is our first kitten.
