I’m creating a YouTube channel that will feature my sons highlights from his Basketball games. I’m going to spend some money, but don’t want to break the bank. I’m only going to be shooting video, and would like to have zoom capability. I want to the videos to look good, but they don’t have to be professional. I understand these gyms have low lighting. If I were to use an 18-135mm with a f/3.5-5.6, is that really that bad? What do you recommend?

2 AnswersComputer Networking4 years agoWhen can I place more seed in a newly seeded lawn?
Today is exactly one month since laying new tall fescue seed. I have a few bare spots, and a lot of thin areas and want to add some Kentucky Bluegrass to the mix. I know I used some starter fertilizer the first time around, and it's too early to add some more. Can I just overseed with the blue grass now? The lawn hasn't been walked on yet. Can I walk on it in order to lay the new seed?

1 AnswerVideo & Online Games8 years agoSpigot in front of pressure regulator?
I finally finished my repipe. It took 3 1/2 days, and I moved the water heater outside. Everything turned out fine, except for the water pressure when the backyard spigot is turned on. Prior to the repipe I couldn't shower and water grass at the same time because the spigot was tied into the same line with the potable water.
My setup in front of the house consists of 2 cold water lines coming in. 1 comes in 3/4 going straight back the spigot, and the other goes through the regulator and feeds the house.
After I finished up, I hooked up a gauge and I have it set to 80 psi, but when I turn on the backyard spigot, it drops to 40 psi.
Why is this happening? FYI, psi is 120 from the street without a regulator.

2 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs8 years agoInstalling a PEX Manifold?
I am in the planning phase of my PEX re-pipe, and have a question on Manifold placement.
I live in one-story single family home 4 bedroom 2 bath
How far can the manifold be from the water heater?
The home is about 45 feet wide running North/South. The water line in is on the North side of the home. The water heater, backyard Spigot (sprinklers) and MAIN bath room is on the North side as well, but the Kitchen, washer/dryer, and 2nd bathroom are on the South side.
I've always heard that the Manifold should be near the Water Heater, but what is near? if I put the Manifold on the North side, the longest runs would be to the Kitchen, etc...If I put it on the south side, it would be more convenient i.e. less work to run the lines, since the majority is on the south side, but it would be some distance from the water heater, and the main bath.
So, how far is too far? I don't have a large home, so I'm hoping placement isn't be an issue.
If I were to put it on the southside, then it would be a 29 foot run to the water heater, and a few feet longer to the MAIN bathroom. Yet, if I put it on the North side, then it would be a 29 foot run to the kitchen, etc..and be a lot harder to run the lines.
What are your thoughts?
1 AnswerDo It Yourself (DIY)8 years ago2 yr old still wakes up for bottle?
My 22 month old still wakes up 3-4 times per night for a milk bottle. It's the strangest thing. 2-3 of the wake ups isn't for longer than 30 seconds. He will cry until I can go to the frig and get the bottle, and will take 2 sips, and be snoring 30 seconds later. The other time, he will actually drink half, then knock out. I've tried water, and diluting the milk with water. Even the smallest dilution of water, he knows and will throw the bottle, and cry belligerently until he gets his milk. He drinks half a bottle in the car ride to grand ma's, about 2 during the day, and another half bottle for the ride home. I really don't know what it means to have uninterrupted sleep any more, and it really doesn't bother me. I'm used to it. He's still drinking whole milk, when should we switch to 2%?
This can't be normal? Any advice?

3 AnswersGarden & Landscape8 years agoBuilding frame for leveling play area in back yard?
Ok, I hope I can explain this in a vivid enough fashion for you to understand. I don't have the exact measurements yet, so I will be using random measurements.
I have a 20X20 area tucked in the corner of my back yard, that I left open when I designed and installed my sprinkler system. The play area is on a downward slope from right to left.
I want the frame to go 6 inches high, so my thought is that I would set up a few stakes with a string, and a line level attached. I will measure the distance from the string to the ground from various points throughout the length of the 2X12X20 beam.
So, I take those measurements, and mark them on the wood, so I can then use my neighbors saw, and cut a long those dimensions from the bottom side of the board.
Once I have the board cut correctly, and it sits flush on the ground leveled, and six inches high from the highest point of the surface, I then take take multiple stakes and nail them to the inside of the board. I'm only framing two sides, as I will be using the fence that's already there.
Am I thinking about this correctly? Am I missing something?
Once I have it framed up, I will then lay down a thick plastic sheet for weeds, and then 4 inches of top soil, and 2 inches of rubber mulch.
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs8 years agohow to use countif and vlookup in the same formula?
Ok, I have a large spreadsheet listing several employees, and one particular employee can be listed more than once. Basically, If I'm a manager, and I have 7 direct reports, and I am supposed to complete a project for each report. My name and employee id will be on the sheet 7 times for my 7 direct reports, and it will show complete or incomplete for each person. I am trying to create a formula that will show the completion percentage.
So, if my name is on the sheet 7 times, and all 7 employees show completed, I want to show 100%. The identifier I'm going to use is the employee ID.
1 AnswerSoftware8 years agoInstalling PEX in shower?
There is a lot of info on PEX out there, but for some reason not on shower installs. My bathroom has hot and cold fixtures, the middle fixture which switches between shower and bath, a spout, and the shower head fixture. How do I convert this from galvanized to PEX?
Do I need to buy a new PEX specific valve?
Do I need drop ear elbows? if so, what connects the handle to the drop ear?
How do I connect all the fixtures?
