I have a male cat that is terrified of men. I got him from the animal shelter and the animal shelter workers thought he was abused by a guy. I have tried leaving something that smells like him in the apartment, but that just means my cat would stay under the bed all day.

Ok this is probably going to be long, but I am in the military and my boyfriend is a civilian who lives in California and I am stationed in Alaska we haven't seen each other in real life for over a year, because I was deployed oversea. He is flying up to Alaska to visit for awhile. I am a tom-boy sort of girl obviously so I don't cook or anything. I am trying to come up with romantic things to do for him while he's here. He's a nerdy guy who loves video games, sci-fi, reading, and stuff like that.

It takes a special sort of guy to be supportive of a girl in the military so I really want to show him how much I missed him and love him. Any ideas would be helpful.

I have a seven year old male domestic short hair. He was fixed as an adult cat. I have had him for 3 years now. He has been making "nests" all over the apartment since I got him. I live in Alaska and I got him from a shelter during the colder part of the year so at first I thought it was because of the cold, but when summer hit he continued to do so. He pulls pillows of the couch and bed and steals clothing, mostly dirty clothes, and blankets and makes nests. He will take the nest apart and move it. I know female cats do this when they are going to have kittens, but I have never since a male cat do this.

I live in Alaska so my cat and me only go swimming in summer if its warm enough or if I am visiting my parents in Georgia. I have had my cat for about 4 years now I got him at an animal shelter when he was 3. I thought he just loved water when he started swimming with me, but then I noticed he refused to get into the pool if I wasn't in the pool. Does anyone know why this is happening? I am not going to force him to swim if he doesn't want too. I just thinks it is strange.
