If hurricane forms, there is 76% chance it will strike the coast. The probability that the hurricane is formed in an year is 85%.. What is probability that the hurricane will occur and strike coast this year.

I solved it by P(AB) = P(A/B) * P(B).

The problem is solving second part which say of we seed every hurricane formed the probability of striking reduce to 1/4. Now we need to solve first part again.

I am simply dividing the first answer by 1/4 which is giving wrong answer. Any help?

Ques1 Two Evens, A and B. P(A) = 0.39, P(B) = 0.21, P(A or B) = 0.47. A and B are statistically dependent. Need to find P (Both A and B will occur)

What i think is we need to find P(AB) which is = P(A/B) * P(B). Can't figure out how to find P(A/B)

Ques 2.

Assume that for two events A and B, P(A)=0.65 P(B)=.80, P(A/B) = P(A), P(B/A) = 0.85. Is this possible?

I think it is not since P(A/B) = P(A) it is case of independent marginal probability. Am i right?

The question shows me three pie chart showing a school expenditure in 1981,1991,2001 and requires me to summaries the information by sectioning main features and making comparisons. Please assume that the data i have taken is correct.

The changes and variation in annual spending of school in being studied here for period of 1981 to 2001.Teacher's salary which is the most expensive part of school administration accounted for 40% of total expenditure in 1981. It increased to 50% in 1991 and then reduced to 45% in 2001. Insurance which was merely 2% and 3% of total expenditure in 1981 and 1991, increased to 8% in 2001. Other worker's salary reduced constantly from 28% to 15% between the same period. Resources such as book saw marginal increase from 18% to 20% between 1981 to 1991 dipped to 15% of total expenditure in 2001. Lastly, furniture equipment accounting 15% in 1981, saw 10% reduction in 1991 but shot back to 23% of total expenditure in 2001.

Few doubts i have

1. The question says minimum of 150 words. These are only 100. How could i have further elongated it?

2. Is it ok to use % symbol? or do i need to write "percentage"

So today at pre-college during discussion period the topic was phedophiles as police had arrested a man from near by colonies for sharing child porn.

While a comman thinking was that they should be punished hard and be pursued extensively i said that they are actually disturbed people who need psychiatrist help rather then being thrown in jail. And before i knew i was getting stares telling me i was in trouble. So i tried to clarify my stand but apprently it was to late.

So My parents were called to inform their child was "phedophile". To my surprise they believed them and constantly asked me to admit it so they can "help"me And more over they thanked my teacher for not SPREADING the matter. and now they want me to see psychiatrist to fix myself !!

Its been 2 years from when we parted apart. Its was short 6 month relationship but i felt that i found what i was looking for and that this is true love. The reason was I was moving 2 another country and apparently we had conception that long distance relations dont work and ego that i dont need u. But still I always think about her.

Its not like i m depressed or something. I went out with other girls in mean period but always end up thinking how much better it was with her. I dont remember asking any1 on second date let alone having physical relation since i always felt i had the best and i just let it go.

Ok So I m trying to learn how to draw in perceptive. I have some trouble visualizes how to draw scene when viewed from high above.

Ok to start with i am an 18 year old guy.

My 3 year relationship is now string thing and i dont know how long it would last now. Every time i meet my girlfriend i feel like she want me to break up with her and she is only sticking with me as she know leaving me will almost brick me out.

hey guys i have broadband connection of Airtel having speed of 256 kbps.

the problem is its strange behave from last 3 days. Actully when i open some heavy sites dey open instinctly while some other open in a min.

More strange things ahead. when i verified speed on airtel site it showed as usual 256 but when i downloaded a file of 100Mb through rapidshare and download i got speed of only 6kbps which earlier was around 30kbps.

so what is fault??
