  • Long hair for priests?

Just found this...So catholic priests follow bishops (may be pope) not the bible? Should they say that priests must have curly long hair, then?

Q:Can Roman Catholic priest have long hair?

A: I do not believe there is any Church Law about hair length.

But all priests have made vows of obedience and must follow any of their bishop's rules.

Bible: 1 Corinthians 11:14,15 Does not nature itself teach YOU that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him; 15 but if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her?

  • What about thinking of this?

A follow up question to the one who asked about sexual abuse in the clergy.

1 Timothy 4:3 However, the inspired utterance says definitely that in later periods of time some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to misleading inspired utterances and teachings of demons, 2 by the hypocrisy of men who speak lies, marked in their conscience as with a branding iron; 3 FORBIDDING TO MARRY, commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be partaken of with thanksgiving by those who have faith and accurately know the truth.

No offense meant, just a question to make you think...not only are buddhists practicing celibacy but also priests and nuns.

  • Love of God or Fear of Hell?

Sometime ago someone emailed me that if I do not believe in hell then I will surely burn in it....LOL.

I say I follow God because I love him and not because I will be burned in hell if I do. Jeremiah 7:30-31 says that burning children is disgusting in God's eyes...so why would he then create hellfire to torture his creation? Well I know he didnt, hellfire is a pagan teaching like many others, adapted by so-called Christianity. The True Christian God is Love...

“Far be it from the true God to act wickedly, and the Almighty to act unjustly!”—Job 34:10.

    What do you say?

  • And she calls herself Christian?

Got an email...says: "may God bless you with the truth. I feel sorry that you feel there is no hell. You must stop living in the cloud your in. If there is no hell, then why obey God. All the false though you have is satan making you think that. Do you realize that with a door this wide open that you can be led to do anything!? This is a message from God, wake up and let God really lead you. If you are a false Christian you are going to get the hottest flame in Hell, I only offer that God may put his love on you because you have been hurt sometime or somewhere. It was not God that hurt you it was you. You are the reason you are hurt, God showed you the truth and you could not handle it. If you are running away from God do you think it will get better? You love God and you know it, why are you running? god loves you, I feel sorry for you. Where is the lack of love but within yourself? All you have to do is pray and God will bless you with the truth you want? May God bless you. "

  • Have you gotten out of Babylon the Great? (Revelations 18:1-4)?

Revelations 18:1 After these things I saw another angel descending from heaven, with great authority; and the earth was lighted up from his glory. 2 And he cried out with a strong voice, saying: “She has fallen! Babylon the Great has fallen, and she has become a dwelling place of demons and a lurking place of every unclean exhalation and a lurking place of every unclean and hated bird! 3 For because of the wine of the anger of her fornication all the nations have fallen [victim], and the kings of the earth committed fornication with her, and the traveling merchants of the earth became rich due to the power of her shameless luxury.”

4 And I heard another voice out of heaven say: “Get out of her, my people, if YOU do not want to share with her in her sins, and if YOU do not want to receive part of her plagues. 5 For her sins have massed together clear up to heaven, and God has called her acts of injustice to mind.

BABYLON the GREAT represents the empire of False religions....

  • Did many science contribution came from Catholics? (retort to an answer)?

To the one who answered that in my earlier question.

IN THE winter of 1609/10, Galileo Galilei turned his newly developed telescope toward the heavens and discovered four moons circling the planet Jupiter. What he saw shattered the prevailing notion that all heavenly bodies must orbit the earth. Earlier, in 1543, the Polish astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus had theorized that the planets revolve around the sun. Galileo verified that this was scientific truth.

To Catholic theologians, however, this was heresy. The church had long held that the earth was the center of the universe.2 This view was based on a literal interpretation of scriptures that pictured the earth as being fixed “on its foundations, unshakable for ever and ever.” (Psalm 104:5, The Jerusalem Bible) Summoned to Rome, Galileo appeared before the Inquisition. Subjected to rigorous examination, he was forced to recant his findings, and he spent the rest of his life under house arrest.

  • Does true science harmonize with the Bible?

The foregoing should in no way discourage an interest in science. To be sure, the Bible itself invites us to learn from God’s handiwork and to discern God’s amazing qualities in what we see. (Isaiah 40:26; Romans 1:20) Of course, the Bible does not claim to teach science. Rather, it reveals God’s standards, aspects of his personality that creation alone cannot teach, and his purpose for humans. (Psalm 19:7-11; 2 Timothy 3:16) Yet, when the Bible does refer to natural phenomena, it is consistently accurate. Galileo himself said: “Both the Holy Scriptures and nature proceed from the Divine Word . . . Two truths can never contradict one another.” Consider the following examples.

Even more fundamental than the movement of stars and planets is that all matter in the universe is governed by laws, such as the law of gravity. The earliest known non-Biblical reference to physical laws was made by Pythagoras, who believed that the universe could be explained by numbers.

  • Satan rules this world.?

Jesus never doubted that Satan is the ruler of this world. In some miraculous way, Satan once showed Jesus “all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.” Satan then promised Jesus: “All these things I will give you if you fall down and do an act of worship to me.” (Matthew 4:8, 9; Luke 4:5, 6). Would that offer have been a temptation to Jesus if Satan was not the ruler of these kingdoms?

Revelation 12:9 So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth...

John 12:31 Now there is a judging of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.

1 John 5:19 “The whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one.”

2 Corinthians 4:......"4 among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers,, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine trough."

  • If you really are Christian why do you celebrate Pagan traditions such as Christmas, Easter, Halloween?

If you look into it those traditions you are celebrating are actually Pagan traditions. the church changed the name but all details are still pagan doing.
