  • My iTouch is still runing on 2.2.1, and I have to pay $5 to get to 3.1.3?

I haven't used my iPod for anything more than music since I got it a year or two ago. I'm fairly certain that it's a 3G but I do not know how to tell. I've recently decided that downloading a few apps might not be a bad idea, and it will keep me entertained on a nine hour flight I'm going to be on in the next few days.

I do not have the $5 to update it to 3.1.3, but from what I've read you don't have to pay for certain updates, or something along those lines. I'm just wondering if there is any way to update my iPod without having to pay $5 on top of the $300 it took to buy the thing.

If anyone has any information that can help, I'd be very appreciative

  • Has anyone gotten high/died from Loratadine (claritin)?

For the record, I'm not planning on it. This season season has just been hell on my allergies, leading me to instinctively want to take more pills. If anyone knows, I'd be very appreciative.

  • Are there any stores in Wichita, KS that sell sugar-free sweets?

    Other than the obvious "Walmart/Target"

My mother is diabetic, and she is tired of the crappy, tasteless items that she eats.

  • Where can I find World of Warcraft subscription cards?

Lately a friend and I have taken a liking to WoW. Enough that I'm actually interested in paying for the blasted game. However, I prefer buying these things in stores rather than credit/debit. Help p10x?

  • nVidia 8500 GT, issues making it.. you know.. work.?

I'm not all that great with computers, I like to think I know enough to do something as basic as make a video card work though.

I have integrated graphics, a nvidia 6100 or something along those lines. Obviously, I want an upgrade, so I found a nvidia 8500GT (not the best I know, but it works), downloaded the drivers from Gateway, installed, disabled the integrated graphics, turned off the computer, plugged the monitor into the graphics card.

    Boom. Nothing.

Computer still boots up, no... graphics card talking to the computer.

My power supply is 450 watts (I got an upgrade), and my computer is an eMachines T3642.

If anyone has any advice for me, it'd be great.

  • How can I get a baby bird out of my window well?

It got stuck down there, obviously. I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it out.

I took the rod iron cover off the window well, naturally. But I still don't think the poor thing can get out. I tried grabbing it, but naturally it flutters away from me as soon as I do.

I don't want to hurt the bird, but, I couldn't live with myself if something bad happened to it down there.

  • Can my computer's power supply handle this?

I got my computer a few months back, knowing right away that it was an excellent deal, and that it would need to be upgraded to serve my gaming needs.

First off, it is a single core, I know it's a single core, and I'm okay with it being a single core. You have no idea how many people are concerned over that fact, believe me.

Okay, anyway, it's an eMachines T3642, which has a slightly edited foxconn motherboard to fit the single core processor, it having some odd amount of vanilla PCI slots, 2 DIMM slots (240-pinn), and one PCI-e x16 slot. It also comes with some terrible integraded video card, which of course I'm going to suppliment with the PCI-e slot.

But, I don't know if my power supply can handle what I'm wanting to do which is upgrade to 2GB of RAM, and get a really nice video card. I have no clue what my power supply wattage is, or how to figure out. Yesterday I got bored and decided to look at the motherboard, and here's what I wrote down before my eyes started to hurt and get blurry and I gave up:

    "Model # - ATX-300-12E

    Input - 100-127V 6A . 200-240V-3A 60/70Hz

300w Max" ..No clue what any of it means, but it may be important

So, here's what I'm wanting to get video card and RAM wise, if there's any techno geniuses out here that know if I can handle it, I'd really appreciate your oppinion.

    Video card:

    RAM:

    Thanks

  • Who sings this song? And what's it called?

I've been told it's called Love Aholic by Blackfoot, but it just doesn't sound like them to me. It goes:

    "I'm a 'holic, a love-aholic, and I can't get enough of your love"
