i have several kites that i am taking to aruba with me this year, because the winds there are awesome, i have 80 pound test cord for my 7.5 ft wingspan delta, i have 50# for my 3.5 ft delta, but i dont know which i should use for my 12 ft delta, i will be attaching a 26 ft spinning tail on it, and i hope to be able to have at least 500 feet of cord, just not sure which weight pound test cord i should use.

  • how is this for a restaurant idea?

"children" and "no children" sections, seperated by thick, soundproofed walls for those of us that want a nice, quiet dinner out, without the distractions of screaming kids, and on the same token, make all restaurants "cell phone" proof so everyone dont have to listen about "aunt mary hysterectomy" or "uncle clydes hemmoroids"?

  • have you named your vehicle(s)?

i have a '92 caddy i named "miss edna de ville" because i live in tennessee and she is a big ole graceful "southern belle" type of a car, lol.

and i have a ford explorer sport 4x4 i named "dora"explorer LOL, she likes to go out for an "adventure" once in a while, she likes "exploring" in the woods and back country, getting dirty and having a good old time.

what did you name your vehicle(s), and why did you name them what you did?

  • is it ok to cook a medium size beef roast on the grill?

i dont want to have to use the oven if i can avoid it, we love the grilled taste, and just want a change of pace from the traditional "oven roast". i am already planning on vegie kabobs and a salad, and was wondering, since i already have the grill going, why not cook the roast on it. it is a 3# beef roast with beautiful marbling, and since we like our steaks rar to medium rare, we thought it would be like an extra thick steak and just need to coook a while longer.

    any input?

  • how can "christians" say that...?

gambling is a sin, yet they go to bingo, play lottery, go to the casinos, and play online games.? the dictionary defines gambling as a game of chance...so....is it wrong for the "hypochristians" to say that gambling is a sin, but it's ok if they do it, because it is for "entertainment"?

  • who decides what a "sin" is....?

i have always been under the impresson that a "sin" is something that a person does that is not in accordance with the 10 commandments. i know right from wrong etc...bvut i have often heard people say "thats's a sin" for something that they personally do not agree with, for example, IF i saw someone going hunting, and i don't agree with hunting, is that considered a "sin"? that is just an example so please, no knocks about "what i have against hunting", i dont have anything against hunting or hunters, but, my question is, "by what authority can or does anyone label something that they personally do not agree with, a sin?"

  • does this, or does this not seem like the server is asking for a tip...?

the check is for, say.....$9.38, you hand him/her a $20.00 and they ask "do you want your change back?". to me, that is asking for a tip, when i was a server, i never asked if they wanted their change back, i always just placed thewir change on a tip tray and sat it with their receipt on the table, and usaully ended up with more than 20%. do you find this "subliminal begging" to be lacking of tact?

  • holidays are coming up and am dreading dining out, how many...?

have heard this from servers in restaurants at holiday or any special event time, and does it irritate you and make you not want to leave a tip....""server saying to guest": "oh i only need $50.00 more dollars and i wil have my kids' "cristmas"/"birthday"/"report card day"/ gifts paid for". reason i ask, is i hear it everywhere we go during holidays etc, from servers and if we happen to go several times before the "event" and see the same server, it is the same thing..."patron to server": how are you?", "server to patron": "shoo, i'm tired, working a lot, just have $50.00 to go til i have my kids's gifts paid for". is this what you want to hear when you go out to eat?
