  • Puerto Ricans,regarding your pronunciation?

This question is strictly for Puerto Ricans or those who have a vast knowledge of the puerto rican accent.

Lately ive been listening to many spanish songs (all by puerto rican singers/rappers) but i've noticed they DO pronounce the 's' at the end of the word, and the 'd' between the o. So my question is how do I know to leave off the s or enunicate the d?

  • How Can Jesus Be God?

Philippians 2:5-7: Keep this mental attitude in you that was also in Christ Jesus, who although he was existing in (God's form), gave no consideration to a seizure, namely, that he should be equal to God. No, but he emptied himself and took a slave's form and came to be in the likeness of men.

    1) Jesus while he was dying said "My God, my God why have you forsaken me?" Then Jesus gasps: “It has been accomplished!” Then he cries out, “Father, into your hands I entrust my spirit,” bows his head, and expires

Why did Jesus forsake himself and why did Jesus say "Father, into "your" (not my hands) hands I entrust my spirit?! Surly if Jesus is God, then he could of given himself as much holy spirit as possible to help himself endure?

  • Valid reasons to trust the Bible?

Free of unscientific views. Many mistaken beliefs gained wide acceptance in ancient times. Views about the earth ranged from the idea that it was flat to the notion that tangible substances or objects held it aloft. Long before science learned about the spread and prevention of disease, physicians employed some practices that were ineffective at best, lethal at worst. But not once in its more than 1,100 chapters does the Bible endorse any unscientific views or harmful practices.

    Planet Earth

Far ahead of its time, the Bible correctly stated that the earth is circular and hangs “upon nothing”

Scientifically sound statements. Some 3,500 years ago, the Bible stated that the earth is hanging “upon nothing.” (Job 26:7) In the eighth century B.C.E., Isaiah clearly referred to “the circle [or, sphere] of the earth.” (Isaiah 40:22) A spherical earth held in empty space without any visible or physical means of support—does not that description sound remarkably modern?

Written about 1500 B.C.E., the Mosaic Law (found in the first five books of the Bible) contained sound laws regarding quarantining of the sick, treatment of dead bodies, and disposal of waste.—Leviticus 13:1-5; Numbers 19:1-13; Deuteronomy 23:13, 14.

Partly as a result of turning powerful telescopes toward the heavens, scientists have concluded that the universe had a sudden “birth.” Not all scientists like the implications of this explanation. One professor noted: “A universe that began seems to demand a first cause; for who could imagine such an effect without a sufficient cause?” Yet, long before telescopes, the very first verse of the Bible plainly stated: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”—Genesis 1:1.

Even though it is an ancient book and touches on many subjects, the Bible contains no scientific inaccuracies. Does not such a book merit, at the very least, our consideration?^

^ For more examples of the Bible’s scientific accuracy, see pages 18-21 of the brochure A Book for All People, published by Jehovah’s Witnesses.

    5. Fulfilled Prophecy

Imagine a weather forecaster who has a long record of being right—every time. If he predicted rain, would you carry an umbrella?

THE Bible is filled with predictions, or prophecies.** Its record, as documented by history, is clear. Bible prophecy is always right.

Distinguishing features. Bible prophecies are often specific and have been fulfilled down to the smallest of details. They usually involve matters of great importance and predict the opposite of what those living at the time of the writing might have been expecting.

The Bible accurately foretold that a leader named Cyrus would conquer mighty Babylon

King Cyrus and the city of Babylon being invaded

An outstanding example. Strategically built astride the Euphrates River, ancient Babylon has been called “the political, religious, and cultural centre of the ancient Orient.” About 732 B.C.E., the prophet Isaiah penned an ominous prophecy—Babylon would fall. Isaiah provided specifics: A leader named “Cyrus” would be the conqueror, the protective waters of the Euphrates would “dry up,” and the city’s gates would “not be shut.” (Isaiah 44:27–45:3) Some 200 years later, on October 5, 539 B.C.E., the prophecy was fulfilled in all its details. Greek historian Herodotus (fifth century B.C.E.) confirmed the manner of Babylon’s fall.##

A bold detail. Isaiah made a further startling prediction regarding Babylon: “She will never be inhabited.” (Isaiah 13:19, 20) To predict permanent desolation for a sprawling city occupying a strategic location was bold indeed. You would normally expect that such a city would be rebuilt if ruined. Although Babylon lingered on for a while after its conquest, Isaiah’s words eventually came true. Today the site of ancient Babylon “is flat, hot, deserted and dusty,” reports Smithsonian magazine.

It is awesome to contemplate the magnitude of Isaiah’s prophecy. What he foretold would be the equivalent of predicting the exact manner in which a modern city, such as New York or London, would be destroyed 200 years from now and then emphatically stating that it would never again be inhabited. Of course, most remarkable is the fact that Isaiah’s prophecy came true

  • Are lawn seats added to the total # of tickets available for a concert?

Hi, i was viewing available tickets for a Rihanna concert on July 2nd and i noticed the lawn seats were dark blue, indicating lots of tickets were available for that section, but there was no specific number like the other sections. So my question is, are lawn seats, essentially outside the venue added to the total number of tickets available when Billboard does their Boxscore (i.e. 14,567 sold/20,000 available) thanks.

  • Question For All THose Who Believe in ""HELL"?

Now many ppl believe tht when u die u go to heaven or hell.

Now- i have a few questions regarding the accuracy of tht belief.

    1. If you read in genesis it tells us how God created the Earth as a paradise and tht he intended Adam and Eve to live forever on a paradise earth.

why would GOD change his purpose and make it so humans go to heaven or hell.

Malachi 3:6 "For I am Jehovah, i have not CHANGED".

Ecclesiastes 9:5 "For the living are conscious that they will die but as for the dead they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they have any more wages".

Romans 6:24 "The wages sin pays is death".

So concluding from these scriptures we can c tht once we died our "wages" r already paid for. so why would a loving God punish us for billions of yrs?

For all the people tht believe tht the soul is immortal.

Ezekiel 18:24 "The soul that is sinning, it in itself shall die."

Psalm 146:4 "His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground. In that day his thoughts do perish".

tHE ANNIHILATION OF BABYLON IS SYMBOLIZED AS A "FIERY TORMENT" AT REVELATION 18:8-10, 21.

    The 144,000 r in a special position no others have. Revelation 14:1, 3 ; 7:4 ,9

A lott of ppl also believe tht a lot of ppl are going to heaven, but y would god put more ppl in heaven when he already created PERFECT angels? doesnt he have enuff?

    Final scriptures Revelation 5:9, 10 ; 20:4

  • HUGE TRINITY CONTRADICTION??!?!?

TRINITY BELIEVERS HOW DO YOU RESPOND TO THIS?

John 14:28 I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am.

Mark 10:18 Jesus said to him, Why do you call me good? Nobody is good except one, God

2 Corinthians 1:1-3 & 1 Peter 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ

John 20:17 I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and YOUR God

Mark 13:32 & Mat 24:36 is talking about the end, Armageddon, and as Mark & Matthew stated, Nobody knows when it is coming but God the Father, the angels do not know and the Son Jesus does not know, so if God and Jesus was the same as in a trinity, they both would know wouldn't they.

Mark 13:32 & Matt 24:36 the hour nobody knows the angels nor the Son, but the Father

God taught Jesus everything before he came to earth as a man.

John 5:19-30 & 8:28-30 Son cannot do a single thing of his own initiative, Father taught

Matthew 10:32-33 I will confess union with my Father who is in the heavens

Hebrews 5:5-10 Christ did not glorify himself, godly fear, he learned obedience

John 17:1-26 Father, glorify me alongside yourself, that I had before the world was

Jesus was Gods first creation and a master worker as Prov. 8:22-31 states.

Prov 8:22-31 & 1 Col 1:15 & Rev 3:14 & Heb 1:6 Jah produced me as the beginning of his way

Now there is only one Armageddon, but the Bible talkes about the same thing here in these scriptures but uses different names "Lord Jesus, Michael the arch angle, son of man"

2 Thessalonians 1:7, 8 & 1 Peter 3:22 the Lord Jesus from heaven with his powerful angels

Revelation 12:7 Mi´cha·el and his angels battled with the dragon

Matthew 13:41 The Son of man will send forth his angels,

Jesus has many names, some are teacher, rabbi, son of man, lord, and of course Michael the archangel. Jesus angle name was Michael before he came to earth as a man. In Jude 9, it talks about Moses body when he died, Satan wanted to do something with Moses body and Michael told him that he did not dare to bring judgment against him, "he could have or he would'nt have said that". Now why do you thing Michael an angle could bring judgment against Satan another angel. Well, if you remember in John 5:22 "For the Father judges no one at all, but he has committed all the judging to the son, "or Jesus" God gave Jesus the power to do the judging, so with this power he could have judged Satan for this act, but Jesus "Michael knew that it was not time for judging" This scripture shows that Michael and Jesus are the same person because God gave Jesus "Michael" the power to judge.

Jude 9 & John 5:22 Mi´cha·el the archangel, he did not dare to bring a judgment against him

The following scriptures are when Jesus was on the torture stake. Jesus was a perfect man and he did not inherit death from Adam because he was God's direct son, a perfect man. So in order for him to die, God had to allow it to happen. When God took his protection away Jesus felt his spirit leave him and he yelled out "my God, my God, why have you forsaken me"

Matthew 27:46 & Mark 15:34 & Psalms 22:1 "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

Some people may say that Jesus said that he is God as stated in John 10:30 by saying "I and the Father are one" but as you can see in Gen 2:23 & Matt 19:5, 6 & Ephesians 5:31 that when you get married you and your wife are not becoming one person but one in mind, or in thinking, one in spirit, "one the same page" so to speak. John 10:38 and John 17:21 explain it better by using the word union. As I have shown you below, using and comparing the scriptures will help you come to a better understanding of the true meaning or what God is trying to convey to us in the Bible. Use the Bible to interoperate itself.

  • WHY ARE PPL SO BENT ON BELIEVING JESUS CHRIST IS GOD??!?!?!?

Now the scriptures may call him "God" at some point...but its only because he is very much like God. The angels are also called "Gods". they are all "gods" just not the almighty GOD. Its simply to show his superiority to humans.

Scriptures that CLEARLY PROVE JESUS ISNT GOD!!!

Matthew 24:36 "Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens, nor man, nor the Son, but only the Father".

IF JESUS WAS GOD WOULDNT HE KNOW ABOUT HIS OWN DAY???

Psalm 90:2 "God has no beginning nor end"

Colossians 1:25 and Revelation 3:14 both say Jesus was created by GOD.

John 1:18 "No man has seen the Almighty God at any time"

but many people saw Jesus didnt they???

John 17:3 Jesus calls God the only true "god".....why would he be calling himself "my god and the only true god".

Biblical scholars will even tell you the Hebrew name "yahweh" was taken out of the bible thousands of times. its translated into english as Jehovah. jesus name in hebrew/greek was yeshouha. which is Jesus. the bible makes a distinction. in the dead sea scrolls the name Jehovah was found thousands of times!!! you cannot prove that JESUS and GOD ARE THE SAME PERSON WHEN THE SCRIPTURES CLEARLY INDICATE OTHERWISE!!!

  • TRINITY BELIEVERS i have ?

simple question, John 1:18 "No man has seen God at any time"

Many people saw Jesus, does this or does this not prove that God and Jesus are two separate beings?

The Bible never even has the word "Trinity" in it? and it has been proven to be used in ancient false religions. So how can you "Baptists" or whatever you are ignore this and not re-examine the Greek meaning of John 1:1???

    also scriptures for thought

Hebrews 2:9 says how Jesus became lower than the angels...how can any part of a Godship, the Father, the Son, or the Holy Spirit be lower then the angels?????

    9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade ago
  • To all people who believe in the Trinity?!?!?!?

In many translations Bible persons translate the latter part of John 1:1 as "a god" because In greek they dont have the article "a" and it had to be interpreted by reviewing the texts. What are your opinions?

    Now check this out:

Read John 17:3 where Jesus says "he is the only true God" if Jesus were god wouldnt he say I am the only true GOD?

Matthew 24:36 "Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father".

This is clearly showing how Jeuss and God have two different personalities and are two different persons.

Psalm 90:2 says "God is without beginning nor end" so since Jesus' died how could he have been God since God is without beginning?

Colossians 1:15: "Christ is the firstborn of creation".

Jesus was created....(the bible says) and God has no beginning...so how can they possibly be the same person?

John 1:1 goes along with other verses where people refer to the angels as "gods" so please explain to me trinity believers how you can believe in the trinity when the Bible clearly shows that they are not the same being......but are the same in the sense that Jesus perfectly reflects his Father.
