I just don't understand this question. I mean, I know that the stars can be used to tell time, and if we do see the full cycle of the constellations in a year, what amount of time does it set/rise earlier each night?

Is it a division thing? 365/24? That doesn't seem right at all. Can I get some help with this?

okay, it goes:

rod and Steven play "odds-or-evens" throughout the week to decide who buys pizza after work on Friday. winner gets a slice of pizza, loser buys. In a player's individual tally, however, 1 win and 1 loss cancel each other out. when they arrive at the restaurant on Friday, the week's tally shows that Rod has won 5 games but is getting no slices and has to buy Steven 4 slices of pizza. How many games of "odds-or-evens" did they play that week?
