SO...My illegal immigrant boyfriend gets immigration bail..?
2 AnswersImmigration6 years agoBail for immigration detainee at my rented house?
I private rent a 3 bed house from my landlord via an estate agent. I rent the while property and have always maintained my monthly rent payments. My partner is currently being held as an immigration detainee in prison following a short sentence. I want him to be released to me on bail. It's a long story but he has an application to remain lodged with the home office. Ultimately he will probably be removed and sent back to his country but until then he is entitled to apply for bail. My question is: does my landlord have to give permission for him to be at my house? I have an assured short hold tenancy and it states that I and up to 4 other people (immediate family members) can live there. I'm reluctant to discuss this with landlord as the words "immigration" and "bail" will probably scare them. I live alone so won't be over occupying the property if he's there. Any ideas? Or suggestions on how to word the request? Thanks

1 AnswerHair6 years agoTemporary release or apply for bail?
So my bf prison sentence expires in couple weeks. One week before solicitor will submit application to remain under human rights. We already know he has little chance of success but we are hoping he will at least be released to me whilst claim is being assessed.
My question is: will home office grant temporary release or will they detain him under immigration powers? If so we will apply for bail. But temporary release is preferred.
Solicitor is quite confident he will get temporary release but I'm getting nervous now.
Has anyone had similar experience?
2 AnswersImmigration6 years agoovercoming grief. My dad died 3 months ago?
I'm a 39yr old woman and my dear dad passed away just before xmas. He had been diagnosed with lung cancer in April last year. He had been treated with chemo but he also had vascular problems and had a small stroke. He'd signed a dnr form and so after his stroke we kept him home to die. It took 5 days for him to die. It was horrendous to watch him slowly fading away, waiting for his organs to stop. It bothers me that we let him die like this but he was adamant he never wanted to go to hospital. I feel like he was just overdosed on morphine for 5 days. He had hospice care from Macmillan nurses but no fluids, nothing. I can't stop thinking that he could've been saved. It pains me so much that for the first 2 days he was in severe pain. The last 3 days he was oblivious to everything and just laid still, eyes n mouth open. No response, nothing. I loved him so much and I'm struggling to deal with his death. Everytime I try to sleep I see him in my dreams just laying there waiting for his last breath. What can I do to overcome this raw grief?
3 AnswersCancer6 years agoWill bf get temp release or bail at end of prison sentence pending application to remain in UK?
Bf is due to be released from prison in couple weeks. One week before release solicitor will submit application to remain in UK under human rights (article 8). Is he likely to be be given temp release whilst decision is being made? How long is decision likely to take? Will marrying him during temp release help with decision? (We already know he only has small chance of remaining but we need as much time ASAP before he has to go home). He's from albania. Never applied for status before.

2 AnswersImmigration6 years agoUK : Immigration support letter. Contents?
I've been asked to provide a letter of support for my bf who has applied for right to remain in the UK under human rights ground. I guess its standard procedure even though he's unlikely to be allowed to remain. What contents should I include and what should I not say? I don't want to overkill this. Any ideas? Opinions? Thanks
