I've had a mouse problem for years I always get pest control in and then I don't see anything but then they come back 6-12 months later so have to keep getting pest control in. A few months ago I got a private company in to seal all the holes in the kitchen and bathroom as that's where they were coming from and I haven't seen any since. Recently though I keep seeing brown things around my house they look like dark brown grains of rice and they're hard as rock. I cook mince meat and my toddler daughter throws food everywhere so I thought it might be dried up bits of mince meat I keep finding but I'm not sure.I've always thought mouse poo was black so I have no idea if it can be brown or not. Please help...really petfrified of mice and need to know so I can call in pest control or if I can relax!

2 days ago I was at my mums with my partner and my 1 year old daughter. My mum was in 1 room with my daughter and my partner was resting in another room. I left the house for a minute or so to put some trash out. Later on in the night my partner told me he didn't like the way my mum spoke to my daughter and he said that when I had left the house to put out the trash he heard my mum speak to my daughter horribly and swore twice at her. I confronted my mother about it today and she was so shocked and actually started crying and said he is a liar and she doesn't want him back in her house again, she is very upset and has been very quiet and seems quite sad. I trust my mum a lot and she's great with my daughter and I leave her with her occasionally so when he said what he said I was very taken back and confused. My partner hates my mum and since an argument last year neither or them have said a word to eachother. If he is lying I don't understand why he would and I trust him too so its hard to decide who's lying. Its not something I can brush off, someone is lying and untrustworthy but I don't know who. I need to get to the bottom of this. What should I do?

my sister is having a boy in January and likes the name Shay for him...in my opinion its more of a shortened girls name....do you like it or do you agree its girly? she would like opinions on the name as it seems are family are a bit on the fence about it, thanks :)

the wages im on at the moment mean that theres no way i can afford to privately rent so im entitled to a bit of help from housing benefit...this is only a temporary situation until i can find another job...i did have a good job before but i lost it while i was pregnant with my daughter who is now 1 as my contract ended. right now i am staying at my parents with my daughter and its very overcrowded...i live here with my parents, my daughter and my brother and its only a 2 bedroom...so thats 5 people in a 2 bedroom. i am on the council waiting list and have been for 1 year so far but still cant get anything and they said i should be prepared to wait 2-3 years anyway. i cant stand it here especially as i dont get on with my brother and my mother is constantly arguing with me and telling me i need to move. i look on gumtree and newspapers all the time for a private property but its so hard to find one that accepts housing benefit, i would pay it on my own but i live in london and about 2 weeks rent is my whole monthly wage! and when i do find landlords that accept housing benefit they want rent and deposit in advance...which usually totals around £2,400 and i dont have anywhere close to that amount. is there any help i could get somehow seeing as i am on a low wage?

Ive been with this guy for 4 years,...since we were 15. things were great for the first 2 years but have been up and down since. At the beginning of july he split up with me because we kept arguing and he said he felt it would be better to be friends. Shortly after that we got into a big argument and didnt talk for days but then we started talking again and things seemed ok. He went on holiday with his family for 3 weeks and as soon as he got there told me to go on skype and told me he missed me...i asked him about our relationship and he said he didnt want to be with me and didnt have feelings for me anymore. He got back at the beginning of last week and now he does things he only done when we were together eg, has started calling me baby again, tells me he misses me at least twice a day, comes to see me every 1-2 days, started kissing me on the lips again, he also texted me earlier saying he thinks i look so sexy since he has come back from holiday (probably down to my new hair do), and that he loves my new hair. i love him so much and want to be with him again....does it sound like he wants to be with me again?.

I'm in the caribbean at the mo and I've been watching dr.phil...I really like the show and there's an episode tomorrow I want to see but I will miss it as I'm going back to england tomorrow afternoon. Does anyone know if I can watch it somewhere online or are there any channels that show it?

I permed my hair myself as since having my daughter I don't have time to go hairdressers anymore and also I thought it'd be pretty straightforward. Anyway after I did it it looked good but then a few weeks later I noticed my hair had broken really badly and now my hair is very uneven, short in lots of places and overall my hair is now much shorter. I'm now even considering wearing extensions which is something I really did not want to have to do. I don't really know what to do, I'm tempted to just cut it all off and start over but short hair doesn't suit me at all which is why I haven't yet. Is it better to cut it or leave it and hope it will grow back one day

I want to get a kitten, mainly because no matter how many holes we block and how clean the kitchen is mice always find their way in, I live in london and literally meters from a park so I'm not really surprised, also my neighbours have mice and they can't be bothered to get rid of them which doesn't help. I'm absolutely petrified of them and this is like a last resort. I know the scent of a cat will make them scared enough not to come in so I need to know how much a kitten/cat would cost me, thanks

I live with my 9 month old daughter and have had mice problems before. I had one 2 years ago and pest control sorted it out, then I started seeing them again last year and I called pest control again and after 3 visits they found holes and blocked them up, came every week for the next month to check if the poison was being eaten still and it wasn't and I didn't see any anymore. Its been 7 months since then and I just went in my kitchen to make my daughter dinner and I just saw one. I have a serious phobia of rodents and I screamed so lous the whole street probably heard! I also can't bring myself to go back in and it makes me feel terrible as my daughter needs to eat so as I'm trying my best to be brave and go back in I'm sooo scared! I'm going on on holidayy on tuesday morning so if I call pest control its highly unlikely I'll be seen tomorrow or monday as there's always like a 2 week waiting list. There's no way I'm putting traps down as there's no way I'll pick it up when a mouse is caught. What other methods are there that I can use to get rid of them, any scents they don't like or something?

i am going to the caribbean next week and want to use blackberry messenger while im out there. I called tmobile earlier and the lady said i can add some email thing for £15 a month or i can pay for it daily to cover the days i will be abroad and then i can use it. im a bit confused and for some reason i have a feeling that its the wrong thing shes talking about...can anyone tell me what exactly i have to buy and do in order to be able to use it without incurring any extra charges like for internet

I'm going to the caribbean in just over a week and I want to take my laptop. I have a baby so I am already taking on hand luggage with all her essentials in it plus I need to put as much in my check in luggage as It will be a pain having to carry everything plus a baby. Someone told me that you can't put in your suitcase and if you do then you have to pay extra...is this true? And also that you have to tell them if you have electrical items, I thought it was fine and I was planning on bringing a hand blender, and hair dryer so just double checking its ok

I usually perm my hair every 2-3 months but since having my daughter its been hard for me to do it as I don't like being around her while I'm doing it because of all the chemicals. I managed to go hairdressers in december and it came out beautifully and then I permed in myself for the first time (my mum usually done it as she's an ex-hairdresser but she didn't have time to do it). Anyway it came out ok but then last week I noticed my hair had really thinned and broken badly on one side and in the middle of my head so its very uneven. I'm really upset with how it is now. Short hair does not suit me so i don't really want to cut it. If I take care of it will it grow back or is it best to cut it?

I'm going to the caribbean at the end of the month and I want to take some bottles of water for my daughter (a special brand for babies), I know the airports are quite strict on liquids but is it ok to carry some bottles in my luggage?

I'm going to st.lucia in 2 weeks and my daughter will be 9 months old next week. I live in england and I give her tap water. I was just wondering if its safe for her to have tap water over there or if I should try and find suitable bottled water?

I've always wanted to give blood, i know you have to be at least 18 but a few weeks after I turned 18 I unexpectedly got pregnant. When I gave birth to my daughter I had a retained placenta and lost 2 litres of blood and had a blood transfusion. I went on the blood donation website and it said you can't give blood if you've had a blood transfusion since 1st jan 1980...why's this?? I'm b+ but they didn't have any there so I was given b- instead as its compatible, I had the transfusion 8 months ago...is the blood 100% mine now and if so what's the problem with donating then?

I just had an argument with my bf and im wondering whos in the right and wrong. Anyway ive been with my bf for 4 years and we have a 8 month old baby. He hasnt worked until recently and a few days ago he got paid. He owes me £200 and all hes ever brought our child is a pair of baby shoes. And we dont live together (were both 19). Anyway he said he was going to pay me back as soon as he got his money. So today he said he has nothing to do so i asked him if he could go and get the money for me. he called me and asked to borrow my ps3 so i said ok but get the money first and bring it...he said forget it as he couldnt be bothered, didnt want the ps3 again and that he wasnt coming. then he texted and said he hasnt got much and we agreed on an amount for now. 5 mins later he texts to say hes outside. i texted back saying ' i thought u werent coming, u cant just turn up like that...put it through the letterbox im feeding megan'. he then called me shouting down the phone calling me ignorant and saying he doesnt want to be with me because im putting money before anything, and saying im a b*tch cos i didnt let him have the ps3 afterall and that i knew he was coming..wtf? how can he just turn up after he said forget it!? he continued shouting at me and i said i need my money back as im going on holiday next month...he then said he will personally take me grocery shopping with the money as hes not funding my holiday...its MY money though!!!! he then switched off his phone, i walked over to his house and he wouldnt open the door so i came home .Whos in the wrong here?
