Pit Bull Hugger!

Hello everyone!

So here is my problem. I have 4 dogs 2 males 2 females everyone is fixed minus one male who goes in to be neuter in two weeks, He is 2 years old I got him from animal control. Well he has always been an excellent boy but since I got my other male dog fixed Dec-9th he will not stop humping one of my spayed female dogs.

He is like obsessed with her. If he gets near her or she moves he is on her licking her and humping the air. He has lived with us for a year now and never bothered her then a week after I got my other male fixed he starts acting like my female is in heat which is impossible because she is fixed.

So any ideas why the sudden onset?

I've kept him crated part of the day to give her a break but the moment I let him out he is all over her?

Okay so I feel i should know the answer to this but I don't as I'm asking.

Is deafness a common trait in APBT? I currently own one very amazing deaf APBT and it seems that I've meet few others here in town who are deaf.

Is it a breed problem or do they just run a higher risk of deafness due to the fact that the white markings seem to be seen more often in the breed?

Ok so i need help.

I work for our local Humane society and offered to give a 15 minute speech on Puppy mills and backyard breeding. I need someone good sites and maybe somewhere that offers a printable brochure? Also how should i start it and maybe help with organization?

So we got a new dog in at the shelter a few days ago. This little girl is seven months old and is part rot we do believe. However! she has like wiry scruffy hair and at about 7 months only weights like 25 pounds? She has a slight under bite and a curly tail? Take a look at her pics and tell me what other breeds y'all might guess?

I am asking if it is legal for our landlord to take off my neighbors front door? Our neighbor has his three dogs and our landlord removed his from door from his house and hid it in an attempt to make him move out. He was given a three day verbal warning to move but did not get all his stuff out and so our landlord removed this mans front door as well as his backdoor and destroyed the back pouch and last but not least turned off the mans gas and power! so the man could not let his dogs out. Also he wants to charge us an extra 50 dollars a month for having a fish tank and a pair of bearded dragons....

How or what about any of this is legal?

What type of products can i use to remove the scent of where my puppy has had accidents in the house? I've tried like serious bleaching but that seems to not over power him. He goes out every half hour and only gets watered before he goes out. However he will come inside and pee in my kitchen...any other products then serious bleaching and soap that will be successful?

So recently I have obtained a deaf little pup.

So far we've been doing well with him...only a few problems I'm having and I'm looking for some personal experiences?

Potty training? He does well he will go out side and potty but how do you correct him i her goes in the house..see's ow he can't really hear us tell him no?

Teaching him to not play so ruff? He can't hear us say ow or the other dogs yelp so how would your correct that?

also what kinda of sun screen would be safe to use on his little white face and feet this summer? He is white with pink skin so I'd would think it would be necessary to put something on him?

Recently i've added a new little pit bull to my home. (grand total of Four dogs). We are kind of worried he is deaf? He never looks or reacts to noise unless one of the other dogs do. When he was sleeping he tried a squeaky toy as well as a clapping and he did not even budge, Could he just have selective hearing or possible deaf. Is there a test our there to test this?

We have a dog at our local humane society....I love this dog but i'm curious as to everyone else's guess as to what she is. Her name is pibb and she is scared of everything and everyone.....craziest thing poor girl if you bring her in she just shakes...but im curious as to what pibb could be mixed with...in all six years the hs has had her all they can guess is aussie?

ok so about six months ago i got a unaltered two year old American Pit Bull Terrier....He was skinny when we got him so I fattened him up however he did not gain much weight maybe 5-6 pounds. The people i got him from said that he had always been skinny. Is it possible that he just has a fast acting metabolism and he looses weight just as fast as he puts it on?

Today i was giving my new dog i adopted from the pound a bath and noticed a red ring looking spot on his groin,,,it look like i ringworm. I made an appointment for him to see the vet tomorrow but so far looking at info on the web it don't look like ringworm...anyone who knows what ringworm looks like mind lookin and maybe saying a yes or no...so i know what to expect from the vet...or if i i should immediately keep him away from my other dog?

if so what kinda treatments do they use and how much could it cost?

My female pit bull has really bad hips and knees our vet has her on joint medication. Well this morning we woke up and she is holding her hind leg. When you try to move and work her hip as our vet suggested when she gets stuff like this you can feel and see her knee pop in and out. What could she have done and how much is it to fix. I am asking this so i can kinda maybe have an idea when she goes to the vet tommrow. Or even if this is something we should not wait on and get her in as an emergency today?

So i've found my self with a new pit bull named nos...he got taken to the pound and no one claimed him...i of course fell in love. I do have a few questions though

I've never own a dog with cropped ears and was wondering if they needed any extra care, like more cleaning or sunscreen to keep them from buring

as well as see's how his face is white will it need sunscreen to keep from getting burnt?

ok so i got a new pit bull about 3 days ago. He had lived most of his life chained up in someones backyard no attetion just kinda left alone. The ex-owner told me he was a good dog..which he is we love him to death but he has one problem.

Everytime my boyfriend or i leave his sight he goes in to a crying bawling frenzy, he sounds like he is hurt the way he cries and we don't know how to stop it....if we even just go around the corner he cries and cries. Im sure it has somethingto do with the fact that we have spoiled him since i brought him home but i need some tips on how to stop this high level of seperation anxiety he gets when he is alone.

So we adopted a male cat from animal control 2 months ago. He was a great cat went in the litter box everything. Now two months later he has started spraying our walls the beds. We don't know why, animal control told us he was fixed, we can't see any thing under him so we are assuming he was. Why though after two months would he start doing this? We keep his litter box cleaned and he knows where it's all but has all the sudden stopped using it. I'd hate to have to get rid of him if it's something we are doing wrong.

Ok so here it is common to see dogs in the back of people trucks. However im starting to notice more and more people putting thier dogs on the backs of their FLATBED trucks..i mean i saw a guy with his 3 month old puppy today he had it riding around on the back of his welding truck. A little puppy like that could easily get hurt that way.

While it should be illegal to have dogs in the bed of your truck....don't you guys agree putting dogs on a flatbed should be considered animal endangerment or something?

What did You Wear To Your Graduation. (girls)?

Ok so i graduate here in 6 days..and I'm wondering what you gals wore under your gown for graduation? Some have said wear a dress (i dislike this) and others have said wear a nice pair of pants?

So I'm looking for what you guys wore or suggestions.

As I stated in another question I am really interested in learning more about do training after i graduate may 26th. Due to where i live I don't really have the option of meeting other dog trainers and have really no idea how to get my foot in the door to learning. So I found a program it's done both online and in real life. at the end of the 4-5 months i get to take a test and get a certification.

What I'm asking is, could the be a step in right direction to learning more about training dogs?
