Wedding style question - Can Bride and Groom colors be different?
We're having a casual wedding, where there are no bridesmaids or groomsmen. Tablecloths and chair covers are brown (satin/dark chocolate color), napkins are champagne color. I'll be wearing a white dress. We're currently thinking the groom will wear dark brown suite with brown shirt and champagne color vest & tie. Not a spec of white on the groom, and nothing champagne or brown color on me. Is that a problem? Should we try to work each others colors in, like a white boutonniere for him, or a gold-speckled bouquet for me? Or just let it go? Thanks
8 AnswersWeddings7 years agoHow much do you spend on food a month?
We eat fairly healthy, well balanced meals with lots of produce. I recently examined my credit card statement and was somewhat shocked that about $1000 goes toward food every month for a family of 3. This doesn't include alcohol or restaurants. Can't say that we eat stake and lobster every day. What is your family food expenses like?

Turned off the burner but left the pot on the stove with cooked eggs in it. Forgot about it and went to work. It's been 9 hours. House temp 65 degrees. Toss it? Try it? Smell it? Please advise
2 AnswersCooking & Recipes9 years agoDifference between secure credit card and debit/check card?
If someone has a debit/check card (with a Visa logo), why would they want a secure credit card? I'm trying to understand the need/reason for this product. Does it have to do with reporting to credit reporting agencies or something? Please enlighten me as to the difference between secure credits cards and Visa-looking debit cards. Thank you
7 AnswersCredit9 years agoDay pass to Atlantis to see the fish and the lost city?
Is it easy to obtain a pass to see the aquarium, Ruins Lagoon, Predator Lagoon, and the dig? Don't care about the water park, but those sites interest me. Will be arriving via a cruise ship in early August. Is it reasonable/easy to just get a pass and go the same day? Any idea as to the price? Cruise company excursion are expensive and rushed. Thank you
2 AnswersBahamas9 years agoAre profit margins higher or lower on a large (20oz) fountain drink as compared to a regular (12oz)? Why?
And is it different (i.e. both higher or both lower) for the beverage company and the retailer? This is for my own curiosity having to do with proposed large drink ban in NYC; not a homework question :)

I have a 9-year old boy. Skin texture is starting to become rougher. I wouldn't call it acne, but still... Hasn't really been using anything but water to wash his face. What does your kid do? Anything tear-free and non drying on the market that you can recommend? Thank you!
5 AnswersGrade-Schooler9 years agoWater inside the dishwasher (on bottom) - what to do?
I noticed this morning that there is water at the bottom of the dishwasher. What does that mean? Call a plumber? Do a test? Pour drain-no? I loaded it last night, wanted to add a couple of more dishes this morning and run it. Then I noticed the water (after loading the dishes). An hour later it was still there. I didn't run it. It's a whirlpool gold, 13 years old. Thank you...

Had 2 pumpkins rot on me; I've had it with the real thing. Not enough time to buy online. Where should I go for fake, carvable pumpkins? I live in a metro area/mid-Atlantic region. We have pretty much all box stores here. Thanks
1 AnswerHalloween10 years agoWhy OBD for Emissions Testing instead of Tailpipe?
Why have states adopted on-board diagnostic (OBD) testing for emissions instead of the standard tailpipe test? Is it cheaper? Faster? More reliable (seems like it would be less reliable to me)? Something else? Just curious...

4 AnswersHalloween10 years agoWhat does the ring bearer do after he walks down the aisle?
My 8 year old boy is in the wedding, and the bridal party is looking for logistical suggestions. He'll be all dressed up fancy in a tux. He'll walk down with a pillow and the rings, and then what? Give the rings to the best man and throw the pillow into the audience? I gather they want him to stand there with the wedding party during the ceremony, so what to do with the ring and the pillow? What has been your experience with ring bearers? This is for a Jewish wedding, BTW.
