My car is 1.5L Nissian Latio CVT 4 year old. Last nite, at traffic light, I stop the car with the engine running... then when I want to move - I step on the accelerator with RPM going to 2300 the car hardly moved .. then slowly it begins to move, and picks up speed - when it moves it becomes normal again. However, it starts again when I stop the car at a junction.

It feels like starting the car on a 2nd gear - but mine is an auto car CVT...

what can be wrong...

I need to use the solution to f(x) = 2x^3 - 9x^2 + 3x + 4 =0

which is x = 1, -1/2 , 4

to solve

8x^3 -18x^2 + 3x + 2 = 0

[answer given x = 1/2, - 1/4, 2]

seems like subsitute the answer x with 2x ? How to show? many thanks
