i just need a mnemonic device for metonymy. I can't really think of one.

My mom has been in and out of jail for 7 years now... 3 years ago she was finally put in prison and gets out in July. It's her birthday today and I am thinking about sending her a card. But all the cards I find for birthdays say What a Great Mom you are or something like that. I do love my mom, but I don't know if I want to call her mom anymore, she will always be my mother but I'm just not ready to call her that anymore. Any one got any ideas for a card I can send her. One that says I care but don't want to get hurt. I know I could just make one but I'm not very good at drawing.

Okay, so the dad isn't in the picture but I am due in about another month or so and am having troubles with names. I want the name to mean something so what I was going to do was name her (the babies a girl) after her great-grandma my grandma the one I have been living with all my life almost. And will be living with when I have her means a lot to me. So the first name was going to be Holly, but the other great-grandma is mad because I am only naming her after one grandma and not her. (She's the jealous type). What should I do, I have the name picked out and it might change but She is just so upset that I am not picking Carolyn as one of the names. I already have like 2 aunts that are Carols. What should I do? Full name so far is Holly Malone Chambers and we are going to call her by her middle name. what do you think and what should I do...???

So my mom is in jail she has been in and out of jail for 7 years now and she has been in prison for 3 years now. I never really knew my mom because when i lived with her when i was little she was never home she was at work or out partying and left me and my older brother alone. Well 7 years ago i went to live with my grandparents with my brother. My mom was in and out of the picture. I never really knew her. She would only write to me or call me when she was in jail. Well this past summer i went to live with my Aunt and Uncle and i dont talk to her at all. Well she gets out in July and wants to come home. I dont even know her really and she is my own mom. I am wondering if i should talk to her. She cant even talk to me and i am only 15 and i am pregnant and she has nothing to say to me. She doesnt even know me and i cant really even describe her. Should i let her come home and get to know me again. and let her know her granddaughter. or should i leave her out of the picture

Ok so I am not going to tell you my age because that will efffect the answers you give me so i am not going to say that... Well i am 21 weeks and well i have chosen a nice couple whom i know can handle a child to give my baby girl to. I have an ultra on the 20th and i have invited the wife along to see her. Well recently i have been thinking that i want to keep my baby. i even have a great name for her (Zina) but i dont know how to tell the family i want to keep her. or if i even really what to keep her. Is it horrible to do to the couple. I mean there are other families to choose from arn't there i mean i'm not their last hope.

Ok so I am 15, 22 weeks pregnant, have a family for adoption, and need some advise. I believe it is easier to ask on here first so then I can sound a little better at what I want to do just a little advise. I dont want any comments on my age I already know that I am young and made a stupid mistake but at least I am facing it instead of running away from it. I have a meeting in like 2 weeks and they are going to ask me some questions that I am not sure what to say to them and right now I only have my aunt withe me so I would like to sound strong and I want to sound like I know what I want.

ok so i am a sophmore at Granby high and well my english class is out of control like i just moved here and its way different then my old school but still my english class its like so crazy like kids can just do what ever they want and well i want to learn something but i cant the teacher wont do anything about it either and it makes me so made that those kids can swear they can walk around yell and do whatever... what should i do i am sick of that class and i dont want to fail because of distractive students...

My best friend and i are well hes my ex and we are still best friends well he has a new gf and well she doesnt want him to be friends with me anymore. this is really hard on me because i could barly handle us not being together like that and shes the one that ruined that for us and well now she is telling him not to talk to me. he is like my best friend and i still love him but i dont want to let go of our friendship but i know how much more important love is than friendship. it was hard to let go of him as my bf and now i have to let go of our friendship. that is killer on my depression right now what do you think i should do about this.... thanks for your advise.

My best friends and i were like inseperable we were always together every chance we got. Now they are both dead. Friends at school were sad but then like 3 days ago they were back to laughing and i am still sad i would think its bad to laugh with out them here. every chance i get i would go out side and look up into the sky and say i love you and i pray everynight for them. i dont get why i feel so bad all the time and no one esle cares. everyone is avoiding me now because they say i am to sad to be with them it hurts alot.
