  • Is this safe to do while driving? If yes, why? If no, why?

The following is a simple driving scenario to help settle a disagreement.

You are driving down a freeway around 65-70 MPH with your wife in the car, two passengers in the back seat. Your wife nags you about where to get off the free way. In order to tease your wife, while passing the freeway exit, you steer the car approximately two feet to the right without signaling toward the free way exit then stear the car back into your lane. This manuver occurs within the timeframe of approximately two seconds.

To add more information. There is also a car in the lane to the left of you, a car behind you, and a car behind and to the right of you taking the freeway exit.

Was this safe or not? If so, or if not, why?

Thank you for your input. I will withhold my own opinion regarding this matter in order to not affect the results.

  • If I delete and reset and iPad and Find my iPad/iPhone is NOT enabled, will there be an email notification to the email account associated?

A friend of mine is planning to delete his iPad, but went through a messy divorce recently and the wife set up the account. He wants to reset and sell the iPad (which is his, and legally is as well, so no worries there) but he doesn't want an email being sent to her that might trigger further contact or trauma for him.

Can he delete and reset the iPad without an email notification going to her associated icloud and app store account? Find my iPad is NOT enabled on this one, so it shouldn't right?

    Thanks for any help :)

(Additional information, the iOS is updated to the latest one, and it is a 3g iPad 4)

  • How on earth do I contact Yahoo support?!?

I'm not kidding! I have no idea how to contact Yahoo by phone, email, or otherwise! I've lost a folder with important emails somehow and for the past three days I've been unable to do anything! I can't even contact them and on the email help page it goes no where, and offers no support options that help.

Seriously, this is HORRIBLE support Yahoo! You should be ashamed! You took away phone and email support, there is no live chat, and no way for your customers to even get help!

  • Accidentally deleted folder in Yahoo email, how do I contact Yahoo?

Seems my iPhone somehow did this while it was open. This folder had some important emails dating back ten YEARS. I need to undelete it (it is possible for certain) but Yahoo sea to have HORRIBLE customer service and I can't seem to contact or get an email response from anyone?

How do I directly contact Yahoo and explain this problem to them. I'm really disappointed about this service.

  • One of my folders in yahoo mail is now missing... not sure who to contact or what happened.?

Yahoo's page is almost useless for asking for someone to check into this. These mails are rather important and I need to find out what happened to my folder on my account. Is this common? Is it even possible to "accidentally" delete an entire folder so easily? I don't believe so but..

I know time is critical with this sort of issue so I need help:( Thanks.

  • Very odd internet connection problem. Need advice?

Hello everyone. I have a problem I've been dealing with for a half a year. I'm in Japan, and my internet company is garbage. They won't come out to fix the connection and it is a HUGE pain in Japan to even arrange getting a hook up, so I've been trying to fix this myself.

I have a modem, then it is connected to a wireless router, which splits the connection to a wired internet (Korean) phone, and then the wireless signal goes to five devices. However, when the internet phone is connected, I've noticed that the connection will constantly drop from every day, to every ten minutes sometimes. It will happen rather randomly. If not connected, this doesn't seem to happen at all.

My roommate needs this phone due to a situation in his life now he has to handle. Removing the phone entirely isn't an option now. I don't understand how such a device could be even correlated to the constant disconnects if it is wired to the router. It is the line connection itself that actually goes down on the modem that causes me to have to reset everything frequently.

Any ideas? I'm at a loss and not an expert with networking. Any forums or locations that I might be able to get help as well?

    Thanks everyone.

  • Internet hub keeps having to be reset...?

Having a serious problem with my internet connection that is becoming increasingly annoying. I'm in Japan and the customer service from the internet company is pure garbage, and they refuse to come out to check the problem so I am trying to figure it out myself.

My internet connect keeps dropping, it is becoming more frequent by the day. It now drops every ten minutes, and I have to go and reset the hub. The wireless router always seems fine, and no matter what device I use the hub dies and has to be reset. I'm about to go insane ... please what could be the problem?

  • Can't get wireless signal to show on computer used to set up router...?

Hello all, I've had this problem with two routers now. I've set up my router for my internet connection and while all computers can connect to and see the wireless signal, the computer with which I directly connected the lan cable to in order to access the setup menu and manually set the password and other connections never can seem to find the connection. What is the issue with this? Any ideas? Please ... anything would help.

    Thanks.

  • What is "I'm coming!" (orgasm) in Chinese for women?

This is clearly a more mature question, so please don't instantly think I'm trying to just be a pervert. I'm currently in Beijing studying Chinese and the topic of slang for such terms came up in the class. I found it very curious as there appears to be no specific term for women, when it was said that there DOES exist one for men. 高潮 is the standard, and for men apparently 射, but for women?

(Please keep it mature and not racist as heck. I will down vote any horrible answers. Thank you.)

  • Hernia? Other medical problem?

I've had a bit of a problem for a while with the left side of my abdomen an inch below where my ribs begin. I had been to a doctor a year ago, but they didn't find anything and said not to worry. I hardly trust Doctors who say "don't worry" when they don't even know what the cause is of course.

Pretty much it feels like something, a muscle or something inside shifting or popping out of place with a slight strain (no pain though, but doesn't feel normal or good) when I cough or sneeze or do anything that puts sudden strain on my abdomen muscles. This has been going on a while, and I do squat exercises and it has grown after going away after a while. I do around 77.5 kilogram full squats so this does require some strain, however it began not during this but during a lot of coughing when I had a rather bad cold.

I've wondered if it was a hernia, but I believe that is MUCH worse, right now I'm rather clueless as to what it could be to be honest.

  • Wireless signal isn't detected by two laptops!?

Ok, this is a rather confusing and possibly complex problem. I recently bought a new router in Japan, a PCi MZK-WG300FF14 (Final Fantasy 14 router... it was the cheapest lol) It is a regular router, four wired hook ups and wireless 300mbps. However, while I can set up, detect, and connect to the wireless with my Ps3 and iPod Touch for some reason my laptops do NOT detect the signal! I've tried everything I can possibly think of. There seems to be no limit for the connections that is causing a problem, I thought maybe it was the security settings but Zone Alarm and the basic firewall don't seem to be a problem and I've turned them off. (Security is set to WPA)

I'm going nuts here, I've been trying for a week to get this working and I'm running out of ideas. What on earth is the issue? (I DO know how to turn on and off my wireless card on my computer, that isn't the issue. I can connect to the neighbor's wireless no problem, but I can't even detect my router's.)

Huge points to anyone who actually can help me solve this nightmare.

  • HotOrNot site total bullcrap?

Ok, so I posted a picture of myself to get an honest opinion on the hotornot website. However, I seriously do not trust the results and I'm wondering if there is some sort of known scam, or reason why ratings are so high, especially for men. I'm rather regular looking but certainly am not that good looking as a model. I've got a rating of 9.9 on a scale of 10 out of 66 votes. There is no way that this is accurate. I then checked and a lot of men are rated extremely high compared to women when I honestly don't feel that they should be.

What is going on here? Anyone know?

  • Good TV Show for business English examples?

I'm trying to help a Japanese friend of mine learn some business related English and behavior. The friend is already quite good with speaking English and can easily understand dramas; however, I'm not sure what show to recommend. I'm thinking of Ally McBeal and Boston Legal, but any other shows that area along the lines of entertaining like these, but much more focused on business?

  • How do I record video and audio on skype?

I'm doing some interviews on Skype for research due to the distance of some participants. I'm not too trusting of the quality of two audio recorders set next to a computer speaker, so I was wondering if anyone knew a good way to record video and audio (mostly just audio) on Skype.

  • How to set a refresh rate on a Regza TV?

I have a Japanese Regza Toshiba TV (I'm in Japan now) and I'm wondering how to check or set the refresh rate. I've noticed on my PS3 games that the screen is a TAD blurry and I figured upping the refresh rate might improve this. Other ideas are welcome. Anyone know where options like this usually are? Or are you familiar with this issue with HD tvs?

  • Weird horizontal line at top of document in MS Word! Grrr!?

Hello everyone, I have a rather frustrating problem that I just can't seem to figure out.

I'm a graduate student doing research and have been putting together a survey. However, somewhere along the way, I ended up with a horizontal line at the top of each page. I have no idea why. It shows up on every page, doesn't seem to be in the header, nor is it a table. I don't know how to erase or get rid of the damn thing! Does anyone know what I might be able to do?

    Thanks.

  • Restoring previous data on iPod touch after factory restore?

Hello all. I recently had my iPod run into major problems due to bricking during an update. It seems maybe my USB connector cord for my iPod touch was bent around the edges. Damn cord is really poorly made...

Anyway, I lost a lot of important data like notes that I took on my iPod because of this. I was trying to restore from a previous backup, but even that isn't working. If I restore from previous back ups (are there folders where these are kept?) can I get my notes back and such?

Has anyone had a problem with being unable to copy data back to the iPod because of claiming that the music and apps are all corrupt? (I think it's the USB cable but not sure)

  • Blur on Regza HD TV? (when playing on PS3)?

This might be a bit of a difficult question to answer here, since my TV is actually a Japanese Toshiba Regza HD TV.

I noticed that while my resolution can be rather nice, that when I play games on my PS3, that any time there is movement, that screen clearly has an issue with blurring. I am wondering if this is a common issue, and if it is the PS3 itself, or if it is something like the refresh rate on the TV. How might I adjust such issues? I'm clueless on where to start.

    Thanks.
