I am a metalhead, and I enjoy rocking out to the likes of Immortal and Iced Earth. I will mosh with you any day of the week. \m/
Guthrie Govan anyone?
Please tell me someone besides myself has heard of him. Quite easily the best guitarist alive today, as he can emulate any guitarist's style, and his skills in improvisation are unmatched.
Here's my favorite song of his: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yPEewaalik
Here he is showing off his ability to play just like any guitarist, just listen to him nailing each style perfectly: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUXk2ZrgcQM
Any other fans of him here? Favorite song off "Erotic Cakes"?
1 AnswerRock and Pop1 decade agoFavorite Metal Shredders?

Jason Becker
Michael Romeo
John Petrucci
and Muhammed Suicmez
11 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoAm I the only one who's sick of all this ignorance about the term "emo"?
Honestly people, bands like Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance aren't emo, nor anything even close to it. True emo is an offshoot of hardcore punk, played by bands in that scene who wanted to play something with more emotion. Hell, Black Flag is closer to true emo than Fall Out Boy, and that's not an insult.
To make this a question, what's your favorite emo band?
12 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoAny Red Sparowes fans?
Anybody into them? They're one of my favorite bands; I mean, with song titles like "We Stood Transfixed In Blank Devotion As Our Leader Spoke To Us, Looking Down On Our Mute Faces With A Great, Raging, And Unseeing Eye," you can't go wrong.
1 AnswerRock and Pop1 decade agoCan you name an emo band?
I just want to know if anyone knows what true emo music is. Hint: NOT bands like MCR, FOB, AFI, etc.
16 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoTo those happy that FOB are breaking up?
Prepare to be sad again. I've been told that Pete is already working on a solo project.
14 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoFOB break up: real or not?
I'm not a fan, in fact I'm about as far from a fan as you can get, but I did some research and found nothing about this, where does it say they are breaking up?
10 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoany Ayreon fans?
Has anyone ever heard of Ayreon? Simply mindblowing progressive metal, it is one of Arjen A. Lucassen's many side projects. If you are a fan of Dream Theater you will love this, hell, IMO Ayreon blows DT away. Look up the albums "The Human Equation," or "Into the Electric Castle."
3 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoFor people who've seen Judas Priest live?
Now that the invasion is over, I feel it is time to ask on-topic questions. Do Judas Priest play songs off of their non-metal albums live, eg Rocka Rolla?
4 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoI've got an idea?
Why don't we all stop being ignorant pricks, and stop trolling other sections? I like rock and metal, you like rap and hip-hop, WHO GIVES A DAMN?! From now on R&P people should stick to the R&P section, and R&HH people should stick to the R&HH section.
2 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoPantera, overrated or not?
I've always personally thought that they were only as popular as they are because their guitarist got shot on stage. Don't get me wrong, I think they're a good band, just overrated. What do you think?
14 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoBest genre of metal?
What is your favorite genre of metal, and what is your favorite band in that genre? Right now I'm torn between Thrash (Sodom) and Power (Rhapsody or Manowar).
14 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoWhat does MCR stand for?
Now, before everyone starts insulting me, listen up; I'm not trying to insult the band in any way, they're not my style of music, but whatever. Anyway, whenever anyone does insult MCR, all the fans say they love them because of what the band stands for. Well, what do they stand for?
19 AnswersRock and Pop1 decade agoWhy do people insist on getting their oppinion of metal music from Slipknot?
I can't be the only one who has told someone they like metal, only to meet the question, "Oh, so you like Slipknot?" No, I do not like Slipknot. I don't uber-hate them like other metalheads, in fact I like a couple of their songs, but people need to stop thinking that that, and all nu-metal in general, is metal.
