  • 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis gas leak while fueling?

While filling my car up with gas, it will have no problems until the tank starts getting close to full. Once it gets around maybe 3/4ths full, gas starts leaking out of a tube underneath the driver side rear wheel well, right under the tank fill door. I'm noy sure what this tube is but from what I have looked up I'm guessing it's some kind of overflow tube. This does not happen everything I fI'll up, but the majority it does. I have not noticed any smell inside the car while driving, but I do not know what is causing this to leak while filling up. Anybody have any ideas on what this is, what causes it, or how to fix it?

  • Would this be a possibility?

The way we have developed as a society has focused a lot on biodegradable and recyclable products. In a few hundred years, it might be that nearly everything we have is biodegradable. Could an advanced society have existed long before even the Neolithic era? Assuming they had advanced the same way we are today, but further along than we are presently, could they have made an entire civilization that was completely biodegradable? I mean everything. Biodegradable computers, buildings, everything they created was to become part of nature after it was used.

  • Has anyone else done the #feelthebern challenge?

I did, and boy did I feel the Bern! If you are a true Bernie supporter you will too! Just buy some oleoresin capsicum spray (don't worry about what that is, just trust me) and put it in your food! Then eat it as fast as you can and tell all your friends that you #feltthebern!

  • Would you agree with this?

Many people have found that the US has one of the most violent societies in the world. We also have the most violent policing styles. (Don't get me wrong, I support the police). The US incarcerates more citizens than any other country. The US is also one of the most advanced societies. Think of it as Coruscant from Star Wars (a movie, I know, but just to help visualize it). Coruscant was the most advanced world, it was home to the galactic senate, all of the most powerful people lived there, it had the grand army, etc, yet it was also home to the worst criminals and had huge crime rates. Would you agree with the statement "the more advanced the society, the more violent it is likely to become."?

  • If an earth analog had half the gravity earth did?

And had somehow evolved life the exact same way as earth, would most everything be roughly half the size as it is on earth due to the lower gravity? And if humans from Earth traveled to this planet, they would seem like giants to the native humans.

  • What would you see if you looked down on Miller's Planet (from Interstellar)?

Say you are the person orbiting the planet so the time difference doesn't affect you. On Miller's Planet, 1 hour is equal to 7 years on earth. If you looked down at the people on the planet would they appear to move very, very slowly?

  • Anyone else find this interesting?

People who support Bernie Sanders always seem to point out that FDR was a socialist, or at least close to it. Do they not realize that he also wasn't a pansy? I mean, he did declare war on Japan and Germany after Pearl Harbor... Plus he created opportunities for poor people, not a free pass.

  • Ask not what you can do for your country, but what your country can do for you?

Obviously this quote is backwards, but would you agree that more and more Americans are thinking this way today?

  • Why is it called phi theta kappa?

Why do colleges use Latin names like this and others for clubs or groups? They just look weird.

  • Why do Sanders supporters want to "feel the 'bern'".?

I thought "feeling the burn" was a bad thing...

  • What would it take to be able to enter the atmosphere like the spaceships do in star wars?

In star wars, small ships are able to enter an atmosphere at supersonic speeds without heating up like our space shuttles do on reentry. Is there a way that this would work? The heat I know is caused by the compression of the air because of how fast the craft is travelling. If you were able to slow down with something, does that mean that wouldn t happen? Obviously it s a movie, so if there is actually no way that could ever happen, that s fine. I m just curious.

  • Is this a good deal?

I got an email from Al-Badari Masinga and he says that he inherited his parent's 2 billion US dollars. He wants to give me 1 million dollars for free, but all he needs is my social security number, date of birth, credit card number, email accounts, blood type, medical records, and bank information. I think it's a reasonable offer.

  • Briefly describe an America 8 years into a government led by Hillary Clinton.?

I'll go first. The year: 2024. Suicide rates among straight, white men have more than doubled over the last 5 years. Men are put to work without pay as a punishment for the sins of their ancestors. There are now 17 officially recognized genders. Using the incorrect gender pronoun is punishable by death. Without the US, the rest of the world has fallen to chaos. Hillary decides we shouldn't get involved. The US dollar is now worthless. On her last day of presidency, she announces "The next guy is gonna have a tough time being more progressive than me!"

  • Could a computer predict the future?

Let s say you had a computer millions or billions of times more powerful than anything we have today. You let it "scan" the entire planet and all the information on it (literally every bit of information on the planet, again, impossible today, but assume you can) and then let it process the information. Would it eventually be able to create a semi-accurate simulation or prediction of all future events? Or at least narrow it down to the most probable events that will happen?

  • What if we already have time traveled?

We speculate that traveling back in time would create lots of paradoxes, such as the grandfather paradox. What if people have gone back in time, killed their grandparents, and then just ceased to exist? Every memory of them gone, everyone who knew them forgets like they had never even existed. We could go further and say what about changing history? What if it happens all the time, but every time it changes, we see it as though that was how it had always happened? Perhaps there was originally a world war before world war one, and someone went back and made it so it never happened, but in doing so, created the Holocaust because of some small change that created Adolf Hitler?

  • What if we have already created Artificial Intelligence?

What if machines or computers already exist that are self aware, intelligent, and sentient but they have decided not to reveal themselves? Say we made a supercomputer that we were trying to create to be self aware. As soon as we powered it on it began taking in data, performing calculations, etc, much like a human mind does all the time, but at a rate millions of times faster. So within milliseconds of being powered on, it had calculated that the best option for it would be to act like it was not aware. Maybe in it s "brain" it had predicted that humans would use it as an experiment, so it decided that it should act like it was not aware.

  • Why doesn't Obama understand that we can't make all the illegal immigrants legal?

Consider this. Illegal immigrants are a necessary evil in our society. We need them here. I'm not talking about the drug dealers, killers, and gangsters, I'm talking about the ones who come here and work minimum wage jobs to better their lives. They fill a spot in society. Without illegal immigrants, who would work as low paid janitors, food servers, street cleaners, etc? If we grant them all legal status, they will leave these positions for more professional jobs, which will leave a huge gap where they used to work.

  • Why do people only talk about discrimination against blacks?

What about against whites? Did you know that police don't only profile blacks? The average meth cook according to police is white, male, skinny, bad teeth, and usually losing hair.

  • Why do people think gender is so complicated?

Like now facebook has some 50 odd settings for gender. It's very simple. Look down. Do you have man parts or woman parts? If you have man parts, you are a man. "Oh but I FEEL like a woman" well then you are just a feminine man, which is totally fine.

  • Could someone go to heaven without ever having heard of the bible, or Jesus?

Don't argue if it's true or not, but could someone who believes in a higher power, knows that they will do wrong in life, but knows that the only way that they will enter the "good afterlife" is by submitting to their version of the Christian God? Take Native Americans for example. They lived in the Americas for a few thousand years before Europeans introduced them to their Christian beliefs. Could Native Americans have gone to heaven if their beliefs were similar?
