  • Where to live as a broke musician?

So I’ve recently moved to the city with some ‘friends’, but i need a new place to stay. I’m pretty broke, working just enough hours to cover rent (around 200 a week).

I need a place where I can preferably be alone and loud, most of the rentals in my price range are apartments and that kinda thing, where I’d probably get kicked out for being noisey.

I just need a place to sleep, eat and be loud. Anyone have any suggestions? Considered renting a storage garage, but i dont reckon i could pull off illegaly living there. What’s good to live in for a dedicated musician? I would live on the streets, but i’d worrg my guitar and amps + pedals would get stolen ..

    Any suggestions anyone?

  • Can you buy one single month for ps plus?

So i have 12 something dollars left over on my ps account at the moment, and i recently ran out of my previous 3 month subscription.

The cost of one month is supposedly 9ish bucks, which i can afford with the 12 bucks on my account. But for some reason it forces me to add a credit card or paypal account to proceed with my 9 dollar one month purchase.

Anyone care to elaborate on this? will i be able to buy one single month without adding credit card details etc..?

  • How to tape a popped blister?

I've got a few short distance running coming up later tonight and i want to be able to run it, but a few days ago i ran a 10k which resulted in an incredibly painful blister in the middle of my foot.

Last night i tried to run but each step was incredibly painful, i do not wish to repeat such. But how can i tape this blister to allow me to run painfree? Last time i tried it worked a little, but when i took the tape off it hurt.... a lot... Would putting a cotton ball or something like thag between the tape and the blister help at all?

    pls any useful suggestions

  • Please help me prepare for a guitar performance?

I have a really big performamce i have to do infront of like 600 people in 5 days time, so i really want to be in optimal performance conditions.

Should i still be practicing the piece heaps each day? (i don't want to get those rips on the ends of my fingertips like the night beforehand due to so much practicing is my concern)

Should i get a re-string on my guitar soon? (dont want to break a string mid performance :/ )

should i eat heaps the day of the performance?

What are somethings i can do before the show to get my fingers to optimal performance level? (warmups/pre performance rituals)

How to prevent sweaty hands? (dont want to drop the pick)

  • guitar performance practice?

so i've gotta play the solo from bohemian rhapsody infront of the whole school in a few weeks, and i was just wondering a few things/ways to practice that'll get me more performance ready.

I've been playing guitar for like 8 years now, and i've got the solo fully known (practicing around an hour a day for the past few weeks), my only problem is, say 1 in 10 times i play it i'll make a noticeable error, which i really don't want to do infront of the whole school, but i don't know how to practice around this problem.

Are there any certain things i should be doing during practice? at the moment i'll just play the solo with a backing track, then repeat, over and over.

pls help with any info/tips, don't wanna screw this up

  • carb rich foods?

What're some foods rich in carbohydrates only?

Usually at the end of the day i'll have protein, sugar and fat pretty much full, yet carbohydrates will still be only half to three quarters full, so what are some carb rich foods i can take down that won't push my other macros over?

(Used to go cereal, but the required milk pushes the sugar/fat over by a fair bit /: )

  • how healthy are honey cheerios?

trying to find a healthy cereal i can eat for brekky or a quick snack with high carbs low sugar, honey cheerios taste good and seem to be not too bad on the back of the packet

    How are they actually?

    any healthier cereals you'd recommend?

(used to go weetbix but as they require a fair amount of milk they had heaps more sugar compared to honey cheerios)
