  • Having trouble with my 1963 ford falcon?

The brakes keep locking up on my ford to the point that they will not release. I have all new everything, wheel cylinders, lines, master cylinder., everything. Yet in stop and go traffic it acts as if the fluid will not go back in the master cylinder. I don't want to modify it as I am trying to get back to its original off the show room floor condition. Can anyone help me please?

  • When emailing a powerpoint presentation, is the whole thing (edit options, tool bars, etc) supposed to show?

I have open office, and it's converting to ppt just fine. How do I email JUST the slideshow as a ppt, without all the tool bars etc going along with it? There's no "publish" button or anything. It'll let me email the slideshow alone as a pdf, but the prof specified that it be submitted as a Word document (not even sure what the dif is, to be honest). HELP!

  • Is this a reasonable price for a truck?

I'm looking at a 1989 1/2 ton pick-up for sale. It's got new 1st and 2nd gears, new ignition and starter, and a new alternator and battery cables. They're asking for $1000 for it.

The bad part is, the clutch is shot, so it's not drivable right now. My husband can put in a new clutch kit, so it's not a HUGE deal.

    Is $1000 a fair price?

  • Who sings this?

I only remember two lines of it. "I bought you a -- course meal, you called it a snack, I gave you 7 children, now you want to give them back", and I think there's a line about how he bought her a mansion and she called it a shack. LOL

I think it's either BB King or Muddy Waters, but I could be wrong. Thanks!

  • How do I get my ringtone to ring?

I just downloaded a ringtone. It was texted to my phone. What do I do now? When I open it, it's just some numbers.

Their help page just tells me to open the phone's browser for a different way to get the code if I need help, but this phone doesn't HAVE a web browser. Am I supposed to do something with the code they sent me or what?

    Thanks!

  • Homeschool or peace?

3 of my kids are hs'd. I want to hs my 12 year old this year, too. Problem is, he goes to a private school in WI & stays with my parents. He's gone to this school since 4-K, and I've never been thrilled with it. He was diagnosed with Tourette's a few years ago & this year the school is pushing for him to go on Ritalin (even though his doctors have said it's not necessary). I'm sure he'd be better off at home being taught. The twist: I got married and moved to IN 2 years ago, which is why he's staying with my parents. Problem: our original agreement was for him to come down here during the summer (plus we go up to visit at least once a month). My mom reneged on the deal, bribing him with theme parks & camps to keep him up in WI. If I bring him down here permanently, I'm sure I'll end up in court with my mom (control freak). If I don't, I risk him getting drugged up by my mom and the school, who my mom thinks walks on water. What would you do?

  • Too many chicks?

I bought some chicks online at a hatchery. My problem is, I had to order 15 (hatchery rule) and I can only keep 6 in our city. I tried selling the extras on Eggbid, but I had no takers. These are a laying breed, so I'd rather not try them for dinner. Does anyone know where I can sell them (I'm in Southern Indiana)?

  • Ball python won't eat...?

We have 4 ball pythons, which we got about 6 weeks ago. Three of them eat wonderfully, but the smallest (14 inches) hasn't eaten since we got her. She shed about 2 weeks ago, and I thought she'd eat afterwards, but she just ignores food. We've tried live mice of all sizes and even a baby gerbil. She just ignored them all. The pet store said she ate live mice while she was there. She doesn't seem sick or stressed. Any ideas?

  • Christmas obligation?

I moved to Indiana last year when I got married. For every major holiday we go to visit my parents in Wisconsin and/or my in-laws, who live in Tennessee. This year, Christmas is being held at my sister's house. We don't get along for millions of reasons. Literally. Every year she picks a fight with me about whatever shallow, judgmental thing happens to pop into her head, and I end up leaving mad (to avoid losing my temper). This year, my husband and I are tossing around the idea of doing Christmas at home, and going by my parents for New Year's Eve and Day, instead. This is going to upset my mother, who expects to see my kids on Christmas, and who buys them TONS of presents to make up for seeing them only once a month. Am I obligated to make an appearance for mom's sake? How can I break the news to her, that we're not coming? I don't want to spend nine hours driving with 4 kids and a dog in the car, just to listen to my sis's usual B.S. Help!

Are there any other Flyladies on here? Just wondering if anyone else actually sticks to the zones, or if it's just me being obsessive compulsive (for once!).

  • tied tubes vs. periods?

Ok, this may be a long question. I'm 32. I got my tubes tied in November of last year, right after baby number 4. My periods have always been 5 days long, since the first time I got it, and it's always been 30 days apart. Now, it's 3 days long, and 32 days apart. Is there a connection, or am I paranoid? Is it possible that I could hit menopause early because of the tubal (not that I'd be complaining!)? I asked my doctor, who is a moron and will be replaced, but he said he'd "look into it" and never got back to me with an answer.

By the way, I must say that getting any period at all is completely pointless when you've been fixed!

  • Did anyone hear...?

I was listening to the radio in the car (on a 9 hour road trip) the other night, and in the midst of my husband's snoring, I thought I heard someone say that Dr. James Dobson is going to run for president. Did anyone else hear this?

  • Do you know what this Spanish song is?

It's like 10 years, and the chorus is in Spanish. Translated, it means "Mom, call Dad, this black guy's trying to kill me."

My friend had this tape years ago, and now claims she doesn't remember the song at all. Help!

  • Um, ok...B.W.?

This was written by Brenda's World, in answer to another question: "Why can’t the believers of religious theory just behave in a decent manner, in much the same way as the scientific community does." My question is this: If that statement is true, then why do all public school science books start out with "Millions and millions of years ago..."? Why are kids forced to learn the THEORY of evolution (which hasn't been proven) if the scientific community isn't forcing their views down our throats?

  • For atheists....?

Why do you hang out on the religion and spirituality board if you're convinced there's no God? Could it be that you're questioning your choice, and hoping someone will prove you wrong? Just asking out of curiosity, not to start a fight.

  • Can you believe this?

I just got an email saying I was reportedly "in violation" of Yahoo answers rules, because my reply was not an answer. I said "Whatever"...The question was, "Did you know America started terrorism?" I just sent Yahoo a SCATHING email. My question is, does Yahoo read the reported violations, or do they just relay them to the violator?
