I am considering house sitting and realize there are scams going around.

Can anyone tell me:

What are the signs of a house sitting scam

Are house sitting websites reliable

Are there problems sharing references e.g. identity thief

Have you arrived at a property to find things not as they seemed in profile

I want to be able to post on a blog or review and my picture and details show up. I don't want to make a new account everywhere I go.

Would it be valid if you wasn't in the country where insurance was taken?

On the surface a respected teacher in India, separated with two grown children. This woman was on dating sites for the past 3 years and through her blogs and comments she has revealed she has made at least 2 marriage visa applications this year alone. How can you prove that she is a scammer just looking to marry a westerner? My friend has fallen for her and paid for her to visit, I think they plan on marrying.

I search for something and it comes up showing porn. I've done all the scans for spyware and have Microsoft Essentials running. What else can I do?
