help me decide which one to buy.

i dont believe you can lose your salvation according to the scriptures so my problem is not in there preaching because

they dont bring up on there sermons but when i started to go to there bible study on the book of romans i saw they were teaching in a way that you must hang on to christ for dear life and if you let go you lose your salvation now my problem is

how can learn the scriptures from a church who teaches the scriptures on there once save not always save. and iwas taught once save always save. so for me i dont think i could learn from there teaching of scriptures because the must twist the book of romans to come up with that believe. now im thinking of finding another church .what should i do?

Zechariah 12:10—“The One Whom They Pierced”

The Watchtower Teaching. The New World Translation renders Zechariah

12:10, “And I will pour out upon the house of David and upon the inhabitants of

Jerusalem the spirit of favor and entreaties, and they will certainly look to the One

whom they pierced through, and they will certainly wail over Him as in the wailing

over an only [son]; and there will be a bitter lamentation over him as when there is

bitter lamentation over the firstborn [son]” (italics added). By contrast, the New

American Standard Bible renders the critical part of this verse: “they will look on

Me whom they have pierced.”

Now, here is the critical point: In this passage it is Yahweh (or Jehovah) who

is speaking. It is Jehovah God Himself who says (according to the New American

Standard Bible and other legitimate translations), “they will look on Me whom they

have pierced.” Obviously, this means that Jesus is Jehovah. But this goes against

Watchtower theology. So, in order to avoid Jesus appearing to be Jehovah or

Almighty God, the Watchtower Society deliberately altered the text. In the New

World Translation, it is not Jehovah that is pierced. Rather, “the One” (Jesus, as

distinct from Jehovah) is pierced

This is a common misconception. Some people think that the Bible was written in one language, translated to another language, then translated into yet another and so on until it was finally translated into the English. The complaint is that since it was rewritten so many times in different languages throughout history, it must have become corrupted. The "telephone" analogy is often used as an illustration. It goes like this. One person tells another person a sentence who then tells another person, who tells yet another, and so on and so on until the last person hears a sentence that has little or nothing to do with the original one. The only problem with this analogy is that it doesn't fit the Bible at all.

The fact is that the Bible has not been rewritten. Take the New Testament, for example. The disciples of Jesus wrote the New Testament in Greek and though we do not have the original documents, we do have around 6,000 copies of the Greek manuscripts that were made very close to the time of the originals. These various manuscripts, or copies, agree with each other to almost 100 percent accuracy. Statistically, the New Testament is 99.5% textually pure. That means that there is only 1/2 of 1% of of all the copies that do not agree with each other 100%. But, if you take that 1/2 of 1% and examine it, you find that the majority of the "problems" are nothing more than spelling errors and very minor word alterations. For example, instead of saying Jesus, a variation might be "Jesus Christ." So the actually amount of textual variation of any concern at all is extremely low. Therefore, we can say that we have an extremely accurate compilation of the original documents.

So when we translate the Bible, we do not translate from a translation of a translation of a translation. We translate from the original language into our language. It is one step, not a series of steps that leads to corruption. It is one translation step from the original to the English or to whatever language a person needs to read it in. So we translate into Spanish from the same Greek manuscripts. Likewise we translate into the German from those same Greek manuscripts as well. This is how it is done for each and every language we translate the Bible into. We do not translate from the Greek to the English, to the Spanish, and then to the German. It is from the Greek to the English. It is from the Greek into the Spanish. It is from the Greek into the German. Therefore, the translations are very accurate and trustworthy in regards to what the Bible originally said.

John the Baptist explained why he was preparing the way for Jesus Christ by quoting the words of Isaiah, "Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God" (Isa. 40:3). The New World Translation of the Jehovah's Witnesses puts it, "Clear up the way of Jehovah…"

Matthew shows how John fulfilled this prophecy by preparing the way of Jesus Christ (3:3, 11-17).

The book of Mark begins with the announcement that God was sending John the Baptist to prepare the way of Jesus Christ saying, "Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight" (Mark 1:1-3). The New World Translation: "Prepare the way of Jehovah, you people, make his roads straight…" John the Baptist, in preparing the way of Christ fulfilled this prophecy. He prepared the way of Jehovah because Jehovah is Jesus Christ come in the flesh.

Jehovah’s Witnesses relate this verse to passages like John 1:14 where we are told

In support of this interpretation, the Watchtower publication Should You

Believe in the Trinity? states: “‘Beginning’ [Greek: arche] cannot rightly be

interpreted to mean that Jesus was the ‘beginner’ of God’s creation. In his Bible writings, John uses various forms of the Greek word arche more than 20 times, and

these always have the common meaning of ‘beginning.’ Yes, Jesus was created by

God as the beginning of God’s invisible creations.”3

One must conclude that Mormon leaders are not being honest. For how can

it continually be claimed (to the present day) that the Book of Mormon is the “most

correct book on earth,”

the pathological unwillingness of the Mormon Church to deal forthrightly with its

doctrine and history. Our personal study revealed that church canon, history, and

scripture had been surreptitiously altered, skewed, rewritten, contradicted, and

deleted.”

that the Watchtower Society has a very bad track record regarding

changing its position on medical issues. Take vaccinations as an example. The

Golden Age magazine (1931) said that a “vaccination is a direct violation of the everlasting covenant that God made with Noah after the flood.”15 Vaccinations

were hence forbidden by the Watchtower Society for twenty years. However, the

Watchtower Society dropped this prohibition in the 1950s, and since this time

children in the sect have been openly vaccinated.16 The August 22, 1965 issue of

Awake! magazine even acknowledged that vaccinations seem to have caused a decrease in diseases.17 One must wonder how parents of children who had died as

a result of not being vaccinated felt when the Watchtower Society suddenly

reversed its position.

We find another example in the Watchtower’s change of position on organ

transplants.18 The November 15, 1967 issue of The Watchtower magazine said that

organ transplants amounted to cannibalism,
