  • Any suggestions for a topical cream that can soothe a rash caused by an allergy to oil paint/mineral oil?

I was painting backdrops for a play. The director had a particular idea in mind so I believe (not 100 % sure) that he mixed wood stain, mineral oil, & paint thinner to make a wash.

Anyway, it got on my hands as I was painting.

I needed to be somewhere immediately after so I scrubbed my hands as hard as I could to get the stain off (bad idea in retrospect).

Later that day, my hands started to feel dry & chapped. I put some baby lotion on to soothe it. Once I got home I noticed an itchy rash developing.

Specifically there's a patch of really TINY RAISED BUMPS on my hands where I scrubbed. You can barely see them, but when you touch them, it feels like the skin on uncooked chicken (where the feathers were pulled).

I've been putting anti-itch cream & neospotin on it. Occasionally dabbing a tiny bit of olive oil on it after anti itch cream.

Now it's 3 days later & the rash seems to be clearing up.

Last night the skin on my hand felt almost completely flat. However, this morning it began to itch again & the bumps seem a little inflamed.

Will this clear up on its own?

Any suggestions for a topical cream or anything that might soothe it more & speed up healing?

    Thanks.

  • I have questions about taking over the mortgage of a home that is pre-foreclosure.?

PLEASE READ THIS WHOLE THING. SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY THANK YOU.

I was thinking of looking into one of these things, and maybe take over the monthly payments of a pre-foreclosure house. I want to live in one of the rooms, and rent out the other bedrooms. But I want to be prepared with some knowledge of the process, before I even call any of these places.

So I have a few questions:

    1) What does all that mean? How does the whole thing work?

    2) If I take over the mortgage payments, that would make me the owner correct?

Would I then be able to legally rent out the rooms and charge whatever I wanted to my tenants (even if it is over what I pay monthly for mortgage)?

    3) If I decided that I didn't want to live there anymore, could I continue to rent the place out to others, if I am the owner- even if I don't live there?

    4) If I would be the owner when I take over the payments, and I can rent to other tenants, how would I go about drafting a lease between me and my tenants for whatever I wanted to charge?

    5) Do you think taking over a pre-foreclosure home, and renting it out is a good idea for a 24 year-old who is just starting her life, and has limited means?

    6) What questions should I ask when I call the people about taking over the pre-foreclosure homes?

    Thank you for your help.

  • Which brand of laptop PC should I get?

PLEASE READ ALL DETAILS BELOW BEFORE ANSWERING. THANKS!

I want a laptop that is good for gaming, dvd's, hulu & photoshop. I'll mostly be using it for entertainment so I need a laptop that's fast, and won't crash on me. (I'll be using the laptop instead of a tv)

I've decided that I want a 17" screen. At least 2ghz processor, and at least 3 gb of ram.

These are the brands I found with laptops that meet these specifications:

    Toshiba

    HP

    Dell

    and Gateway.

I was leaning toward the Toshiba Satellite Pro 17", with the above specs, but my boss who has a 15.4" version of a Toshiba Satellite, said that he would not recommend that laptop to anyone. He just got it this year, and he said it runs slowly, and crashes constantly. He hates it!

I told him it was probably his processor & operating system, but when I asked what they were he said he didn't know.

So anyway, in your opinion, which of those brands should I go with for a computer with those specs??

or does the brand NOT matter, as long as the processor is fast, and the operating system is good??

I especially would like to hear from people who have had first hand experience with these brands, but all advice from informed respondents is welcomed.

    Thank you!!!

  • Are these fitness tips accurate?

I recently started working out, and have since been bombarded with tips from people who claim that these learned these tips from reputable sources. I'm pretty new at this whole working out thing, and I would like people who have some fitness knowledge to tell me if these are true ( and why) or if you've heard them before:

    1. Working out first thing in the morning on an EMPTY stomach is best because it helps your body burn 3 times what it would after you've begun eating for the day.

    2. Pec building exercises are great for women, because they help tighten and firm the muscle beneath the breast tissue.

3.Eat frozen yogurt after eating a burger, because something in the yogurt attaches to the fat molecules in your stomach and prevents the fat from being digested. (This one sounds REALLY far-fetched, but my friend swears she read it on AOL sometime ago.)

    4. Drinking caffeine before a workout is good for your muscles. (if this is true, what does it do for the muscles?)

    5. More reps with lighter weights are best if you are trying to LEAN your muscles, instead of trying to build big bulky muscles.

    6. You shouldn't workout EVERYDAY because your muscles need time to rest and reshape themselves.

    7. (This is more of a health question, than fitness) I have heard the phrase "Pee often; Pee clear" a million times. But recently someone told me that urine should not be completely clear because that means that you're flushing all of the NUTRIENTS out of your body; not the toxins. Is this true?

    8. If you don't feel the exercise in the area of your body that you're supposed to be working out, you're doing it wrong.

That's all that I can think of for now.

    Thanks for reading!!

  • What are some comfortable, breathable, closed-toe shoes that I can wear during the summer?

I work outside, but I MUST wear closed-toe shoes; even in the summer. My feet are usually the first part of my body to overheat, and then I feel miserable for the rest of the day. They can't just have the appearance of being closed toe, or can't be closed toe sandals. They have to be shoes or sneakers, and need to be comfortable since I am on my feet all day.

Links to where I can purchase the shoes would also be appreciated.

  • IS THIS BAD ADVICE FOR A PROFESSIONAL RELATIONSHIP COUNSELOR TO GIVE?

Two of my friends are having some relationship problems, so they decided to see a relationship counselor. the counselor told them that it was okay to go through each other's things if they don't trust one another. That doesn't sound right to me. Should they find another counselor or is that actually an ok thing for them to do?
