  • How many lessons should be taught in an 8 hour preschool class?

I will be teaching 3-4 year olds at a preschool in a couple weeks. The class is 8 hours long. How many lessons should be taught during this time? Also, how many hands on lessons should I include every day? I went to school for Secondary Education, with a minor in Elementary Education, and taught High School. I have children of my own, but would appreciate help from a preschool or kindergarten teacher. Thanks!

  • Are allergy shots proven to work?

My 6 year old son has terrible year round allergies, which he takes 3 daily medications for, year round. His allergist has recommended allergy shots for 2 years now, which I am for, buy my husband is against. Have you had allergy shots? Did they work for you, or would you rather just take medication daily? And, if you did get allergy shots, how long did you have to get them for? Do you, or did you also have food allergies? My son has multiple food allergies, a couple of which the allergist believes will be cured with allergy shots. Did you find this to be the case? Thanks for your help!

  • What is the best English/Spanish electronic translator to buy?

I am currently teaching my 6 year old Spanish, and want to buy him an electronic translator to help him. I have been searching for the right one, but there are so many out there, in so many different price ranges. I don't want to spend more than $30, and want to make sure that he can easily type in phrases he wants to translate. Also, are there any that have an audio option to hear the translation?

    Thanks for your help!

  • Is my 5 year old learning how to be a pervert, or is this normal?

Ever since my son started First Grade about 3 weeks ago, he has been googling kissing big boobs and spanking big butts on the computer. I know we should have parental controls on the computer; we did install them after we found out what he was doing, but who would ever think a five year old would even think to do something like that? We did not know until he was caught last week playing a spanking game, which he said he was looking for. He's been using google for two years now to find games to play, such as spider games, find the difference, etc. My husband searched the history for the past two weeks and discovered that he has been looking at cartoon porn, among other things. My son was very embarrassed, and even ran outside crying. He said he was just looking for a spanking game to play, which he did find. My mother in law, whose house he was at the time, talked to him, my husband talked to him, I talked to him. It all seemed very innocent, albeit strange, so we just told him he can't just look up stuff like that, and asked him about possible molestation. He says nothing happened, his 3 year old cousin told him to look it up. Then a few days ago, he told my husband that some boys at school told him to look it up. Two days ago, I was helping him with his homework at the kitchen table; I turned around to get something out of the drawer, and he wasn't at the table. I looked around, and found him on the floor looking up my dress! I asked him what he was doing, and he said, "Just checking." I said, "Just checking what?" and he said, "I don't know, just checking." So, I talked to him again, and he said he doesn't know why he did that. Is it normal for kids to be interested in spanking and looking up women's dresses? I'm very concerned, but I don't want to overreact and make it worse if it isn't needed. I was thinking about going into his school tomorrow and asking whether or not he is supervised during bathroom time; there are older grades in his school, and maybe he is hearing things he shouldn't. We only watch family tv and movies and listen to Kids/Educational music when my son is awake. I really don't know where this behavior is coming from. Has anyone else had an experience similar to this? Should I be worried? Please help!

  • Can I access McDonald's WIFI if they are closed?

I am working a double shift, and was hoping to play a game on my Kindle Fire to get me through the lulls. It is internet based, but as long as it's loaded, I can play it with no internet connection. But, there is no WiFi here! However, there is a McD's down the street, but they are closed right now. Can you still use their Wifi connection after hours?

  • Is my ankle sprained or fractured?

Last night my right foot fell into a hole while I was walking. I fell down and heard a cracking sound. It took about a minute before I could even speak to ask for help. My help was taking foo long so I decided to walk him e. It was less than half a block but took 8 minutes because I was limping, walking carefully as to not put any pressure on my foot. My ankle was swollen a little on the outside. I had to go to work, so I made a makeshift don't out of duct tape and tongue depresses because I had no ace bandage. I iced and kept it elevated while working g through the night. After I got home I took off my splint. Swelling was the same but now can put no pressure on foot. Woke up, and have slight bruising on top of foot, in the center lengthwise. Ankle hurts severely even when no pressure is on it. I don't hAve insurance. Is this a bad sprain, or do you think it is broken?

  • Does anyone know the name of this movie?

I have always wanted to see this movie, but only saw the trailer once as a kid, and have no idea what it is called. The movie would have come out in the United States anywhere between 1989 and 1996. I don't remember much, but believe it involved an Amish family. The scene that I remember involves a little Amish boy, between 8 and 10 years old. His brother died, and he the little boy, following tradition, marries his brother's worldly wife. I remember the wife, in her 20's possibly, wearing a white bikini and stretched out on a lawn chair talking to her husband, or soon to be husband, not sure, about searching for treasure. She said she would leave after the treasure was found.

  • What is wrong with my 2000 Dodge Stratus?

Earlier today, my left front tire started making a thumping sound. As soon as I hit 30 mph it starts to thump, and increases as the speed picks up. As soon as I apply my brakes, it slows the thump. My tires aren't flat. I just got my car out of the shop on Sunday. I had my left driver tire ball joint replace, along with the sway bar, tire rod ends, and the rear brakes. Is this thump normal after these repairs, or is there something else wrong that was missed with the initial inspection?

  • Can someone please explain the ending of Brake?

Have you seen the movie Brake with Stephen Dorff? I don't understand why he was killed at the end. Was his boss really planning a terrorist attack? And why was his ex wife in on it? I must have missed something very obvious, lol.
