  • Is it normal not to bleed after taking three packs of the pill back to back?

My doctor advised taking three packs of the pill back to back to help with endometriosis but I finished the last pack nearly a week ago and haven't started to bleed yet. This is my usual pill but the first time that I have taken it in this way. I know the doctor is the best person to ask but I wondered if anyone else had a similar experience?

    Thanks

  • Why is it not OK to have organisations for minorities but not white people in the UK?

I am not meaning to sound racist here. I do think it is sad though that people have to justify themselves in this way before talking about anything to do with a subject like this.

I am wondering how it is OK for ethnic minorities to have organisations and groups for them only but it seems if there was an all white group in the UK it would be deemed racist? I don't want an all white group necessarily, I just want things to be fair. I have listed some websites below that explain what I mean. I am genuinly wondering why this only seems to work one way? Could anyone please shed some light on it?

    Thank you.

    http://www.obv.org.uk/

    http://www.fbho.org.uk/site2/

    http://www.bteg.co.uk/

This is only a small selection which possibly may not be all UK based, I imagine it would cause uproar to have a website for white people only though!

  • When people spell words incorrectly...?

This is not a dig at anyone but a curious question. When writing questions, or anything for that matter, some people use the wrong 'there' or their', 'know' or 'no' etc. I understand sometimes it is a genuine mistake that happens when typing too fast without concentrating but what I would like to know is, do some people think it doesn't matter or do people actually have a problem with it? I have heard that in the UK (where I am from) some schools are allowing 'text talk' in exams, for example using u instead of you. I think that if people really don't know which word to use the surely the schools should be doing more to teach them? My question is, do you have a problem knowing which word is which, or is it something that doesn't bother you? Please don't take this as a personal attack as we all make mistakes sometimes! Thank you.

  • Every time my boyfriend goes out with his mates, the rumors start!?

It seems like every time my boyfriend goes out with his mates without me, stories start coming out in the following weeks. Usually I'll hear a little bit of a story from someone and when I confront him he'll gradually tell me the rest. He swears that he has never cheated but this has happened an awful lot. (We have been together over 5 years and are engaged). Last time he went out a girl (supposedly a friend of mine) rang her friend and told her she'd been kissing my boyfriend. My boyfriend said she did ask him back to hers but he refused. He said they never kissed, or more to the point he couldn't remember anything because he was so drunk. When I asked her about it, she denied both things (any kiss or inviting him back, but that bit must have been true or he wouldn't have said it!). I'm fed up with people trying to cause problems between us! I feel terrible for doubting my trust in him but when things like this happen all the time, I do wonder if I'm just being naive. Please help!

  • Do you agree with me that everyone should plant at least one tree?

One tree each - it wouldn't take much time or cost much, but if everyone in the world did it, think of the difference it would make! I know it's not practical for everyone to do it, but if just a small portion of each country would plant one tree each, it would surely halp in the battle with climate change!

Would you do it? More to the point, will you do it?!

  • Do you think the government is too quick to label someone with a learning difficulty?

I am in the UK (yes, I did post this on UK answers) and it is my opinion that the government is very quick to label children as having learning difficulties these days. It seems to mean that these children are suddenly pushed further from normal life and find it harder and harder to fit in. Maybe it is because a lot of mums are so young and with all respect, don't really know how to bring up a child. I am sure there are lots of young mums out there who are fantastic mums and equally I'm sure there are many children that genuinly do have learning difficulties. What I am trying to say is, I think as soon as a child misbehaves these days, they are labeled and this only makes things worse. I don't mean and disrespect to anyone at all with this, I just want to know your opinions and what you think would help these youngsters.

(By the way, I am talking about things like ADHD, which of course many children have, but I think sometimes children are diagnosed as a quick answer)

  • Secure Wifi with mac address?

I am running a network of about 14 computers but three are wireless, the trouble is, I am not very good at wireless! When we set it up before, it was set so only the three dedicated computers could use the wireless connection. Now we have changed the server and everything is working but I'm not sure how to make the wireless connection secure again. At the moment, people can connect to the wireless network as they please and I obviously need to stop this! Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

(Using windows XP and Zxyxel equipment if that helps)

    Thanks!

  • Are there any transfer programs for the Ipod Touch?

I can only find ones for the standard Ipods. It is made more difficult as the Ipod touch does not show up in my computer any more meaning programs designed for standard Ipods do not work as there is no drive letter assigned. I would like to back up my music to a seperate hard drive, not in Itunes.

    Thanks!

  • Do you think children grow up too fast now?

I personally think that by banning makeup at school it would work in a sort of chain reaction to slow down the rate at which children grow up these days. Makeup was not supposed to be worn back when I was at school seven years ago but girls wore it and the boys got interested. I think if it was banned all together, the girls would be less competitive over their looks, the boys wouldn't be so interested, children would fit in together better and generally wouldn't grow up so fast. This is only my opinion but I am interested to hear yours. If you are at school, please don't hurl childish comments at me without thinking them over first. I would like to hear thoughtful ideas from people who are at school and either agree or disagree though.

    Thanks!

  • UK government has finally admitted that migrant workers are a strain on our resources, your opinions?

I believe that migrant workers in moderation are a good thing. (I am not talking about immigration here by the way). The UK government has finally admitted though that the amount that we have here are putting a huge strain on the police, hospitals, the housing system and other resoures. Do you believe that there should be stricter limits? If so, what would you suggest? If you don't think there should be stricter limits, why not?

By the way, this was posted on Answers UK so for all the smartarses who tell me where to post, I did it right!!

  • Doc Martin (UK TV Show) does anyone watch it?

I think it's fantastic and very entertaining, all except for one thing... the accents! I have lived in Cornwall all my life and have never heard anyone speak like that! They all sound as though they are from Bristol with their terrible attempts at a Cornish accent. Surely it can't be that difficult to do a bit of research and practice? It's the only thing that ruins the program for me! What are your views?

  • Insecticides - live food for chameleons?

I feed my chameleon locusts and occasional wax worms as that is what he likes. m any sites say be careful of wild caught insects because of insecticides but most are ok in an area where they aren't used. How would I be able to tell whether they are used or not? I imagine in a farm area there would be more risk. Do insects stay fairly local to where you see them or do they move around a lot? I think I will stay on the site of caution and not feed him any but I would like to think it was safe for him to eat the odd spider etc if he saw them when I had him out of his enclosure.

    Thanks in advance!

When I delete items from my desktop, they return after I restart. This only happened once we put our new server in but I can't think how to stop it happening! Does anyone have any ideas? The Server is running SBS2003 and my computer is running Xp although we have others on Win2000 and they do the same thing. (Not all of them). Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

  • Yemen chameleon plants and vivarium?

I am preparing to buy a Yemen chameleon, I just have a few questions that I can't find exact answers for! I have been reading up everything to do with them for months now to make sure I am prepared but I want to know what sort of real plant would be the best to have as the main plant in the vivarium. I know ficus can be used but I have read that the sap can be irritating to them. The heating and humidity etc is not problem as my partner breeds snakes and he has plenty of spare heat lamps and thermostats etc. Is there a suitable plant that has fairly substantial branches that could be used? I will obviously be putting vines in too but would like as much real foliage as possible but it ha to be able to take his weight as he is fully grown. I don't want to pick him up until everything is perfect! Thanks.

  • Staffordshire bull terrier question.?

My 10 month old staffy has a limp on his front leg, I have taken him to the vet who said it was probably just a strain. It has happened a few times and he has had pain killers from the vet. There seems to be no serious problem, he has had a full health check, I was just wondering if anyone elses staffy had a tendancy to hurt themselves? They are very clumsy as anyone who has one will know. Is mine just a wimp when it comes ti pain?!

By the way, Staffordshire bull terrier DOES NOT MEAN PITBULL so please do not start with that! Thank you.

  • Please tell me if you think this is racist!?

Please read my previous question and tell me if you agree with the person who said I was being racist. As I said to this person, I have no problem with anybody coming to this country who wants to earn a living but I DO have a problem with people who come here to take what they can from the government. It's people like you and me who pay these taxes and work hard to do so, so why should the money be spent on asylum seekers and immigrants above our own people? I wouldn't except to go abroad and be handed out what I needed. I would expect to go there and work to pay my way. What are your views?

  • It is not my intention to stir trouble here, just a simple question?

I was reading a post earlier that said white people don't have white music awards, miss white america etc. (I'm from the UK by the way). Why don't we have things just for white people? What I mean is, black people have things just for black people and fair enough but if white people try to do the same it's called discriminating. I just wanted to know why.

  • Does anyone have any tips for violin vibrato?

I've been playing for years, mostly Irish music and have no problems with the fastest songs etc but still can't master vibrato! I'd read lots about rolling the fingers etc but I just don't seem flexible in that direction!
