I am a Christian, married mother of 6 (3 of them grown). This is my second marriage. I have a chronic illness that prevents me from working, but when I was able to work I was a teacher. I have a B.A. in English and an M.A. in English as well. I love to sing and play the guitar, and I have written a lot of songs, mostly spiritual ones. I live in central California (USA).
In Italian culture, when a girl turns 15 or 16, is there a coming-of-age celebration like a Mexican quince?
It could apply to a girl turning 15 or 16. Thanks!!

I've been treated for depression (unsuccessfully) for a long time, and I think I may actually have bipolar disorder.
11 AnswersMental Health1 decade agoIs there a kind of mental illness that makes you unable to move past a particular negative thought or feeling?
My teenage daughter also shows signs of this problem. Please help if you possibly can. Thank you very, very much.
5 AnswersMental Health1 decade agoHow can I combat sibling rivilry among my kids and encourage them to love and care about eachother?
The kids in question are a 14-yr-old boy, a 10-yr-old boy, and an 8-yr-old girl. The two boys have ADD, which is largely controlled, but they have both been through a lot in life. A lot of the time they get along great, but then there also times when they are very hurtful toward eachother. Sometimes I wonder why my 14-yr-old son acts so much younger than he is, in relation to his younger siblings.
4 AnswersFamily1 decade agoI am a mom w/ a chronic illness. Anyone know of a program or something that could help care for my children?
I am on Social Security disability and my husband works, but we can't afford to pay for help (except on a limited and occasional basis). The kind of help I'm looking for is, for instance, taking the kids to doctor and dental visits and helping them with homework, as well as doing the "extra" kinds of things that moms usually do with their kids, like baking cookies or taking the kids to the park.
THANK YOU sooooo much for all of your answers.
Sincerely,
Becky Godlewski
