  • Can I make a bolognese sauce with these ingredients? What quantities should I use?

I'm looking to put something together for dinner without going out, and I think I have most of the ingredients to make a bolognese sauce but I'm not sure. I have:

    - a whole garlic

    - tomato puree

    - tin of plum tomatoes (can chop down of course)

    - onion

    - salt

I have no pepper or herbs in. Will that be a big problem? Is there anything else that I would really need? And if that is enough, roughly what kind of quantities would I need to use? Thanks in advance!

  • What grade did I get in the remaining 70% of my overall grade.?

I was wondering if someone can help me work out a percentage. I got my results back and in one subject I got an overall grade of 59 out of 100. In my essay for that module (which was worth 30% of the overall grade) I got 53 out of 100. So could someone tell me what grade I got on the exam which was worth the remaining 70%. Also could you tell me how you worked it out, so I can apply it to my other grades (obviously I'm not studying Maths). Thanks in advance.

  • Which word/phrase is the subject, verb, object, adverbial and complement in each of these sentences?

I need to identify the subject, object, verb, adverbial and complement in a selection of sentences. However I'm having difficulty figuring this out, in particular the adverbials and complements. Could somebody help me out with a couple of these sentences?

    1. The messy cat chewed the meat loudly.

    2. The law enforcers spotted the criminals.

    3. Does the teacher wear that baseball cap every Friday?

4.The observed rate of emission of radiation from hot matter was incredible.

Just to clarify, in the first sentence I know 'the cat' is the subject (or is 'the messy cat' the subject?), 'chewed' is the verb and ;the meat' should be the object. I would have presumed the adverbial is 'loudly' but then which is the complement (as I was told that the complement follows the verb)? Or is there not even a complement in the sentence?

I'm having similar problems with the other sentences, and really struggling with the last sentence, so help would be much appreciated.

N.B. I've changed the sentences from the ones I need to identify for my homework to similar examples (excluding question four) so I can attempt to figure out the answers myself based on the help I receive.

  • Proxies to breakthrough filters?

I'm at college at the moment. As part of my coursework for psychology I need to find personal adverts to analysis the content. The problem is, personal ads come under 'personal and dating' and are blocked at college. Do you know of any new proxies to get through the filter?

  • Equal Opportunities: A Feminist View.?

I have to give a presentation at college about the feminist view of things, and I'm not entirely sure where to start. There a couple of things I'd like to talk about, for example, wages, and expectations of women. Also, I'd like to discuss some important feminists through time, and if they made an impact.

What I'd like, is if anyone here could tell me of sexism they may have experienced, for example, if a male collegue was getting paid more than you for the same job, and what you're views on feminism are.

Along with that, if there's any feminists you can think of, that made an impact somewhere along the line, I'd really like to know about them too.

    Thanks x

  • Outline and evaluate the relationship between freedom and facticity.?

This is an essay question I've been set for Philosophy, on the topic of Sartre's Existentialism and Humanism. Although I have already answered it, does anyone else have any input, incase there is something I've forgotten to mention?
