Benazir Bhutto was assassinated. Who is the extremist?
She was Muslim, pro-American, and female. She was the first female to lead a predominately Muslim country. So ... who is the extremist, the people behind her assassination to condone violence in general, suicide missions, and terrorism, or Bhutto herself? I would argue that Bhutto is the extremist, as her views have always been much more secular than mainstream Islam would allow, while the group who assassinated her is more reflective of mainstream Islam. What is your opinion?
8 AnswersCurrent Events1 decade agoWhy are there mosques in the US and Europe, but no churches in Saudi Arabia?
Why are the Western countries considered intolerant when we allow Muslims to practice their religion, yet in the Middle East, if churches are allowed at all (which they aren't in Saudi Arabia), Christians are treated as second class citizens (the esception being possible Lebanon)?
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoAdvice on what do do on a very short trip to Ireland, please?
My wife and I are going to be in Ireland at the end of March. We are only there for 4 nights though. We must spend the first night in Dublin and the third night in Galway (we already have the hotels booked). Nights 2 and 4 are in B&B's, with the 4th having to be near Dublin to make the flight home. So ... any suggestions on where to go and what to do on this all too short trip?
1 AnswerOther - Ireland1 decade agoSerious Question For Atheists?
If you have no belief in a higher being or an afterlife, what incentive is there (if any) to be a 'good person' while you're alive? I ask this from the point of view that there aren't any consequences for your actions (according to you belief) outside of secular law (imprisonment). But there are a lot of legal, but totally immoral things you still can do, so what stops you from doing them?

Which would be worst ... the worldwide spread of Islam, Fascism (Nazism), Communism, or Capitalism?
5 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoWhy do Muslims expect tolerance but don't give it in return?
Muslims in Europe and the US are always preaching that we should be more understanding and tolerant of their religion. Yet there are no Christian churches in Saudi Arabia, a non-Muslim can't even VISIT Mecca (a very large city), and it's against the law to even be seen with a Bible in Saudi Arabia. Isn't that a double-standard?
17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality1 decade agoWe put a deposit on a Norwich Terrier puppy found on the net. But, we might have been taken. Input please?
We went on puppyfind.com and found a Norwich Terrier for $950, which was very cheap compared to others on there. The dealer seemed reputable with several excellent reviews, claimed that this puppy was , "registered/registerable (AKC, NKC, etc.)...", and he worked with paypal. When asked about the lineage of the dog, and about AKC numbers, he responded after a week of stalling with a load of garbage about the AKC being a bunch of crooks, that his dogs parents were imported from Belarus and Poland, and that they had superior bloodlines to any AKC dog. After receiving this response, we have terminated the deal and are in process of getting our deposit back. I'm just wondering if this is a common occurance? It's the first time we've tried to buy a dog on the net, and will be our last! By the way, the puppy and listing can be found at puppyfind.com with the name Amallaf2pend. Thanks for reading all this! :-)
7 AnswersDogs1 decade agoIf Islam is a Religion of Peace, why have they been at war since the 7th Century?
I keep hearing how Islam is peaceful and tolerant. Besides my question above, why is it then that a Muslim can practice their faith in Europe or America, but a Christian cannot do the same in many Muslim countries, Saudi Arabia in particular?
