Just curious!

I often wonder why men have a hard time loving someone. I'm the type of girl that is tough to catch, but once caught I'm loyal. However, there are many times I've gone on a date and I realize after a while that the guy doesn't understand that love is very different. Love is sacrifice, undying admiration, fun, comfort and growth. Love is not wanting to leave the person. Always wanting to be around them. Always wanting to protect and support the loved one.

Soon I'm feeling like life is really interesting. The journey is really my own and everywhere I go I am somewhere different from where I was in the beginning. Sometimes better, sometimes not. There's this guy who absolutely loves me. But I wonder, if he is a marriagable guy. Many people say some guys can be dated, others can be married. Give me a description of a guy you would say is able to take on responsibility.

I know this guy for about a year now. He says he loves me. He calls daily. He sends cards when he can. He says that he would not see anyone else if I were to breakup (I'm skeptical though) with him. Alright. Here's the deal. We've been dating for a year. I don't understand. I thought some people are over the honeymoon phase by then, but he is not. Is maturity a bad thing in a girl?

Let's say she has had a lot more experince in the world than the guy she's dating, so she usually follows her own instinct and is calm and relaxed when it comes to solving problems, is there a guy who would date a girl like this? I have a friend who consistently feels that a guy won't like her because she's calm and relaxed, but due to the circumstances she's been in she feels guys are more interested in girls who are fun to be with. When you're around, to tell you the truth, she's not that fun,but she is an amazing healer. I can go to her if I want to talk to someone to clear my mind. Guys, unfortunately have not been able to "connect" with her. What should I say to her. She's a good frined of mine and I would like her to feel good about herself but its more important that she know the truth. Let me know what you all think about her chances with guys and why?
