The dress is an a-line strapless with a side-seam zipper and it is about 2 inches too big in the bust and about an inch in the waist. I'm wondering if I have to take out the zipper to do this properly or if there is a way to do it just from the one side without the zipper? Any advice would be appreciated!

Here's the situation: My credit is poor (at last check my score was 557), however my fiance's credit is excellent (score is 751). I'm looking to finance a new car and the one i'm looking at has a special right now of 2.9% interest w/a $1000 rebate. Now, here's what I'm asking, what would be the most likely way for me to get approved for this car loan and improve my credit score at the same time? Me as primary and him as a co-signer? Him as primary and me as the co-signer? Him as primary and me as co-owner? Any help and info will be greatly appreciated!

I'm very basic when it comes to what I need/want - internet (for email & school purposes), basic office capabilities (word, excel, etc...), cd burning/listening, dvd watching, and that's about it. Also, I've heard not so good things about Vista - is it still possible to get a new laptop with Microsoft XP? I'm not computer illiterate but this will be my first laptop purchase so I'm not sure what minimum requirements I'll need, so any recommendations on that will be helpful as well. Thanks!

I really want to make brownies but all I have in the house is a chocolate cake mix (and the ingredients needed to make it). Does anybody know how I could adjust the ingredients to make brownies instead of a cake? Is it even possible?

I used to buy these spring rolls at Costco, They came in a box of 72, there were 4 trays of 18 spring rolls. They were the mini ones and came with packets of the sweet&sour sauce in the box. The box was kind of a yellow-ish/cream color and it had a picture of the product on the front. I know they sold them all last winter and I believe the last time I purchased them was late spring, possible early summer. I went to the Costco that I usually purchase them at this past Saturday and they didn't sell them anymore! They were a favorite snack and I was hoping somebody would at least know the name of the brand so I could try and find them somewhere else! I know as soon as I hear it, I'll remember what it is! It's getting very annoying and I know it's to help stop spam, but it's driving me CRAZY! Anybody know how to get it to stop?

...and I thought things were going pretty well. We hit it off and went on a first date, then saw each other pretty much every other day up until last Friday (11/3) and the days we didn't see each other we talked on the phone. We went out on Friday, dinner, movie, etc... and then he came back to my house and we hung out some more. We ended up falling asleep and he left around 4am. We text messaged a little bit on Sunday and he mentioned that he had a really busy week at work and wouldn't be available to get together again until this Thursday, but that he'd call me on Tuesday night to make plans. So, I didn't hear from him yesterday, and I'm just wondering if I should be concerned. Is it strange to spend so much time together and then to just... stop? Do you think he really is just busy? Should i call him? If yes, when? I don't usually question myself over guys, but I feel like there's something different about this one. Oh yeah, we're not "young", I'm 29 & he's 35.

I'm going there for a long weekend in November and although I've been there twice before, I've never really had to plan anything. We'll be spending most of our time in Manhattan, but one day we'll be in Brooklyn. Any suggestions?

Somehow text messages were sent FROM my phone to everybody in my phonebook. It was a message directing them to go to a website that had a picture of Jessica Alba that all of the sudden changed to some horror monster. It's happened twice now, the first time I figured it was a fluke, but now i'm beginning to get worried.

My roommate was arrested for DUI this past weekend, her BAC was 1.25 (legal levels in MI must be below .8). We're just wondering what kinds of fines and/or penalties she's going to be facing after going to court. She's already hired a lawyer who's charging her a $1200 flat fee.
