Can I make brownies with a chocolate cake mix?

I really want to make brownies but all I have in the house is a chocolate cake mix (and the ingredients needed to make it). Does anybody know how I could adjust the ingredients to make brownies instead of a cake? Is it even possible?

There is 1/3 cup of water and 1/3 cup of oil, and 1 egg in brownies. Just put those in the cake mix. If you want, you can add another egg if you want. If you feel that the mix is to dry or too thick, gradually add more water and a tad more oil. Good luck and I was just guessing!

Check the package of cake mix. Sometimes they have info on how to make your cake mix into different things, including brownies. Additionally, I would check out the website for the company that your cake mix is made by (www.bettycrocker.com or www.pilsbury.com, etc). They usually have information on how to use your cake mix in different ways.

    Good luck and enjoy!
