I'm 19 and major in biological sciences at the University of Delaware. I'm studying Spanish, but I don't understand it fully. I have a pitbull and love all animals. I'm an atheist and communist, though I feel that for communism to truly thrive it must be altered a bit. I'm not a fan of police because their activities are rarely checked. Cops abuse people and get away with it regularly. Obama was a let down. He was more concerned with staying in office than actually doing what he wanted to do. He catered too much to the right when the right never compromises. I feel, I very well may abandon the U.S if Trump is elected president. If we don't end prohibition the cartels will take over the U.S. They're already paying off U.S officials. If drugs are legal and produced in legal laboratories, the cartels lose almost all of their income. My opinions are based mostly on logic and very little on emotion. Emotional responses tend to be the worst in

  • Do You Get/Know Why One Might Get Tooth Pain from Sugar Free Energy Drinks?

I don't ever drink the sugary kinds, so I don't know if they'd make my teeth hurt, but I know almost every time I drink an energy drink, my teeth are sensitive the next day. It can be extremely painful to chew on usually one side, sometimes both. Is it that perhaps I have cavities and the energy drinks expose them? I should add, the pain isn't from sugary foods either, it's from hard things. A cracker would be near impossible for me to eat, but any thing that's soft with sugar doesn't hurt. I'm just wondering what about energy drinks might cause this. I don't get it with soda either (diet or regular.)

  • Will a NTSC Region 1 and 4 DVD work in a PAL region 4 country such as Australia?

I want to sell a DVD which says it's NTSC and region 1 and region 4 to Australia specifically. Australia is a region 4 country, but it uses PAL. Will it not work in Australia?

  • Can someone explain the VAT (not what it is, but how it will affect me selling something)?

I've found that many DVDs sold in the UK are much cheaper than they are here in the US. Many of them, ironically are imports from the US. I'm interested in buying some of these DVDs, getting them shipped here and selling them here for a very small profit.

Now I'm trying to make sense of the VAT, but all I can seem to find are descriptions of what it is, I want to know how it affects me and the people who are buying things from me. Does it operate like a sales tax? Am I affected by the UK's Value Added Tax, or does it only affect consumers/producers within the UK? If end up finding something cheaper here in the US and want to sell it to a UK buyer, will I need to keep track of the tax or will the government/trading site (eBay) do it for me? Is there anything else I should know?

I don't want to be rude and say nothing, but I literally have no idea how to respond to that expression.

  • Weird Feeling in Left Forearm After Working Out, Advice on What it Could Be?

7 or so years ago I broke my left wrist. Ever since the tendon (I guess, it's the long thinnish strip that connects to the elbow and wraps around a bit, and seemingly connects to the wrist) has stuck out a lot on the left side. I was working out very hard today for the first time in a couple months and I noticed it feels weird. There is no pain, but the sensation is just so odd that I stopped working out. It feels like it's loose or not connected or something (that's not a perfect description though.)

Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know what this is? Does anyone know what to do about it?

Thanks, your advice would be much appreciated.

  • Right bicep MUCH larger than left, best course of action?

I always knew my right bicep was much larger than my right. The right is much more rounded. The left is thinner and not so round. Today I started a weight loss contest. We needed to get the various areas of our bodies measured. I didn't catch the measurement, but the chick had to measure my right bicep twice because the difference is so radical. What's the best course of action?

I was thinking of either working out the left and not the right for a while or working both equally and being sure that I never give that extra rep to the right, even when I have the ability to (I usually can get 25% more on the right arm.)

  • A question about co-requisites?

To simplify it, I don't have access to all of the science courses. Right now I can only take non-major Biology (BISC 103.) When I get to main campus and can take any course I will need to take BISC 207, which is just a more advanced introductory biology. Currently I've taken CHEM 103 which counts towards the Biology major, but I just read that BISC 207 has a co-requisite of CHEM 103 OR other CHEM courses. The problem is all the other chemistry courses listed take the place of CHEM 103, so I'd lose the credits from CHEM 103.

Will I be forced to take an essentially duplicate chemistry course, or will my previous chemistry credits count as prerequisites instead of co-requisites?

  • Is there a way to destroy every non-essential thing from your computer?

I just got some hardcore malware. It wouldn't even let me open any program at all, even the task manager would close the second I opened it. I transferred the basics (just pictures and a few word documents) to a flash drive. Is there something I can do to just obliterate everything on the computer apart from the operating system?

  • Do you consider anabolic steroids to be okay or not okay (non-competition body building)?

I used to think they were really wrong, but after I began to learn about creatine and other legal chemicals to increase mass, I started to think why stop at creatine? How come some supplements are illegal and wrong while others aren't? Anyway, I'm interested in hearing your opinions on the matter?

  • New 360 Slim Loads Really Slowly, Any Advice?

My fourth 360 broke last week and I decided to make a good investment and pay $200 for a new slim instead of paying $140 for an older model and then having it break in 6 months. Well I bought the slim and I started playing Fallout. The thing is, it's literally taking 20 seconds just to go into a house. The loading is ridiculous. It takes twice as long as it did on my old Xbox before it broke. Any advice? Do you think a new 250GB hard drive might help? Should I return it for another one?

  • Is Spanish one of the most difficult languages to learn (because of the MASSIVE amount of conjugations?)?

I'm looking at the conjugations of verbs in different languages and Spanish has more than any language I've looked at. There are literally more than 55 ways to conjugate a single verb.

Is there a language that has more conjugations per verb?

Is there a language that has less conjugations per verb than English?

  • Why do you think there is a gender gap in support for marijuana legalization?

Men are more likely than women to support marijuana legalization. A poll from Washington state showed that 59% of men were either definitely in favor of legalization of marijuana or inclined to support legalization of marijuana. For women the number was 49%, which is a pretty significant gender gap.

What do you attribute this difference of opinion to?
