Hello guys, gonna keep it brief but descriptive.

My first idea was that I needed a new computer. I currently go to college/uni and write notes in lectures and type them up at home on my old desktop. The desktop is getting old so I require replacement.

My first problem was whether to get a desktop + laptop combination or just a laptop. I decided on just the laptop as it will be easier to maintain and transfer files and generally easier to use than two separate computers.

I wanted a somewhat portable machine so I can bring it to uni and type notes, but also powerful enough for heavy duty works like Photoshop, games, other specialist software my degree requires. One laptop came to mind: Clevo W230ST. Also sold as Metabox and Sager and Horize. It it 2kg and has a powerful internal hardware.

Then I had another way. Just get a larger laptop 17 inches, and just take notes like before, without bringing a laptop to uni. The one Im looking at here is Clevo W370ST. Just to be clear here, hardware wise both are identical, same CPU/GPU/same res screen/made by same company/same RAM etc. Only difference is that 17 inch W370ST is larger and heavier (larger screen is not bad), it allows more hard drives to be added later on, and has a DVD RW drive. It also has eSATA port but I dont need that.

Lastly, price for the smaller 13 inch W230ST, say its just over $1000 dollars. The bigger 17 inch costs a lot more, about $1350.

Just wondering which of these two is best for my uses? Thanks

I have had a red face since about three to four years ago. I am not completely sure of the cause but I highly suspect it is from sunburn. Back in those days I had school and afternoon when I walk home I have no shade to protect me at all. The walk was about 10-15min under the full sun. I do apply sunscreen but not ALWAYS. So it is my fault. But Im here for any treatments not for self regret.

Both sides of my face has this redness but left side is more severe. It covers from under my eyes all the way to the jaws. The right side is better and only limits to upper portion. The appearance of these are almost identical to red face when you exercise too much, only they stay there forever and wont go away.

The redness is not really intense as if Im going to explode, but it is surely visible.

So is there any possible home remedies for this redness to be reduced or eliminated? I dont want to go to a specialist as that would cost me a fortune and as a student I have no money for that.

Hi all, just a little question to those with this case: How do I put a 3.5" fan controller on this case? I heard it doesnt come with a 5.25 to 3.5 converter so I cant use the controller. But The Xdock might be possible since its 3.5". I was just wondering if it is possible to put a fan controller in the Xdock and the rear cabling wont interfere with the backpanel of the docking system? And since the knobs are protruding, I cant close the Xdock doors. Is there a way to remove the Xdock door, the one that swings to the right?

So I just recently got Skyrim and was very happy with it. No problem at all until this point. It is like the first quest in the game where you have to retrieve a dragonstone. I am supposed to go to the Bleak Fall Temple. I killed the three guards outside the temple and pressed E to enter the door just like any other door. Then screen then appears with the smoky mist with my level at a corner. It just stays there for about 10minutes nothing happens. I had to force quit it with Ctr Alt Del. I am on the most current update/patch as well, still no difference.

Anyone experienced this or knows a way around? This is like the first damnned mission in the entire game!!

While the whole world is trying to lose weight, I struggle to gain. I am 18 yr old male, 173cm at only 52kg. I am not sure how am I going to gain weight as clearly I am under. How much energy in Calories or KJ do I need per day to slowly but eventually reach my ideal weight/ BMI? I don't exercise much at all.

I've got a father who many people claimed to have some sort of slight anger problem. He will get angry at almost any mistake anyone does. Since I am the only person who lives with him it is no mystery that I am the most frequent victim of his anger problems. Usually he will start to shout at things I do wrong, then continue to exaggerate the problem and then link the current problem to the previous mistakes I have done in my life. At some point he will break loose and becomes extremely abusive both mentally and physically towards me. What bothers me more is that he thinks I am mentally ill to a point where I am no better than a 7 year old (I am 19 yrs now and in uni). To him, any mistake is intolerable and many of the times I didnt even make a mistake, but merely a misunderstanding by him.

Normally when he wants me to do something he expect it to be done FAST. Immediately. Any delays in thinking about how it would be done is disastrous, esp if he is in a bad mood. This pressure forces me to react quickly but often at times do incorrect things without even thinking. He then finds excuses to say I am mentally ill. I tried talking to him but it was like talking to a wall, as he is 'always right.'

I have tried prove to him i am not stupid. My grades show that, A's all the time and medals and awards in piles. I've done many of those online IQ quizzes and consistently get over 120. I'd guess IQ is a measure of intelligence, yet that does not convince him at all. He would simply say, 'you are OK in some areas including intelligence but in the more ordinary everyday things and thinking skills your brain doesnt work to standard.' I just love how he can always make up things that aren't possible. In front of any other person on this planet I've met, I behave normal and there is no indication that I am stupid. I just dont know how to deal with him anymore, he wont listen and nothing can convince him, even a proper psychiatrist report of my mental assessment. What should I do?

Im not sure when did this start, but when I press F11 on my keyboard at any given time my computer tend to freeze for 1-2 seconds with HDD lights fully lit. The effect goes away immediately and if I press F11 again the effect will be further reduced. Upon pressing F11 the third time, there is no noticeable freeze.

This is kind of a problem for me, as for one of my programs I require to repeated use F11 for one of its functions. When I do this, the computer will freeze for longer than if the computer was not under load - up to 10 seconds. After the freeze, the effects are similar as described above. Whats more, the function that F11 is supposed to achieve in the program was not executed. Even if i kept pressing F11 in the program, nothing happens. This is quite annoying and could anyone please help me with this? Thanks.

My friend has started a creative mode server and many of us are happy about it but we don't really have much things to do there. We've done pixels arts, building gigantic ships, various cannon, caused massive explosions etc... But is there anything else that might be of good interest to build? I think there will be great potential for redstone circuits, but you haven't got any idea :\

To my knowledge that if you connect redstone wire or a repeater behind the piston it will only operate once? I've seen people on youtube making pisons work by themselves with only one input from a switch or whatever. How are automatic pistons made so they work indefinitely, instead of pressing the switch every time?

It's been few decades since any serious ship to ship battle has taken place. In the WWII there were battleships and battlecruisers and all that and basically they threw heavy shells at each other and they are protected from inches of armour. However modern day naval vessels are very different. If I'm not wrong they barely has any armour at all. The main weapons at sea I assume are missiles and not guns. So how will a modern naval battle turn out to be? How fast will it last and are we talking about 1 hit 1 kill and fast paced or like the olden days which lasts for quite a while without much serious damage?

For example, when it rains so much that the street floods that the water level is over the height of the tailpipe, or even higher. Is it possible to drive under such conditions? Under what conditions will a car not work due to excess water? I've seen video footages of cars driving in flooded streets with no problem but I'm pretty sure if the tailpipe is flooded you can't drive?

As we all have seen commercial aircrafts leave white contrails behind their engines when at high altitude. I'm fine with this, but, how come fighter planes never do that? It is clear that they use the same engine type etc.

I haven't done anything to the settings, the emoticons just ceased to show one random day. :( Stock ad well as custom emoticons cannot be shown, but other people whom I chat to can see them.

In addition, do not tell me I need to go to options and check for the ticks, because that is the first thing that i checked when this happened, and, to my surprised, did not fix anything at all. I have the newest WLM and Plus addon, everything else seems to work fine.

I always had this kind of problems, in fact, this is why most of my fish die - it starts with little fin rot, when i see this as soon as i can i change the water of my aquarium many times, over a period of many days. Then this does not help with the infection, it still gets worse and few of my fish gets fin rots altogether. Sometimes, usually the first few water changed, it showed substantial increase in the health of my fish, some of the rot even got away. Then always, after a few days, like 3 - 4 days, it comes back. Keep in mind im still changing the water daily. Then water changed does not help with the disease anymore.

By and by some fish will be really sick and die eventually. I have tried fungus treating medicine especially for fin rots but not once did it help anything at all, as if i wasted my money on them. Any idea what is causing the fin rot, and how can it be treated. Any suggestions muchly appreciated, as this is the only cause of my fish's death over a period of nearly five years.

My friend downloaded and got this bundle and today i went to his house and helped him install it on his Vista. Everything worked fine for him. But when i got to my place and installed on my computer with exactly the same procedures, a problem occurred.

Basically for CSS i can access menu and setup a game then when it is loading the screen will black out and monitor display "no input". Computer then freezes and no key works. As for HL2, the game will not even load up for me to access the menu then crashes like stated above, same as CSS. Any ideas how to fix this and what caused this? I installed these two on the computers and i know exactly what i did to both, which is exactly the same. Both computers are way above the minimum system requirements.

I had my computer for many years now and i almost always leave in on standby when i go to cook or for a time period that is not too long but i dont use the computer meanwhile. I used to either selest start>turn off computer>standby or i set up so after 20 or so minutes the computer stands by itself through power management. The latter being the most common. However just one random day my computer refused to do so - when i standby using any of these two methods, my computer will literally restart and after a while it will leave me to the logon screen which u usually get when u wake up from standby. The effect is almost similar to when u standby it and then inputting with the keyboard to wake it from standby. Can anyone explain why is this? Thanx

This computer has not been setup with wake on LAN or anything like that. New software... cant really remember but i doubt i installed something.. Maybe it is the motherboard driver? I reinstalled my system but not sure the dates..

I was just wondering why do some race car or sports car's brake appear bright orange in photos and/or videos? I am assuming it is the driver braking too hard? Is there any scientific related explanation of this?? Thanks

Hello i cleaned my computer today with a brush inside out cos i thought it was dirty and in the process i unplugged the HDD and FDDso i can clean them and restored to their previous positions later on. But i found out my computer cannot execute heavy jobs/processes such as opening few browser windows/open system restore/open windows live messenger. Clearly this means my computer cannot run sufficiently. When the problem occurs, the computer freezes and shuts down after dozens of seconds and this problem keeps repeating. Does anyone know what is this?!?!? i tried system restore in safe mode to a previous date but nothing changes. I still cannot execute multiple jobs at once in normal XP. Plz urgent!

OK I have a computer running Windows XP system for quite a while now and use it rarely these days. It has three SATA HDDs and it always worked fine until today... I had a plan: i have three computers. Computer A has the two big capacity HDDs, B has one medium HDD, C has small HDD. I wanted to use one of the HDD in A and put on B and put the HDD on B on C. Basically I am aiming at copy all the files in one of the HDDs in A to another, then I can use the big HDD that has no used space onto comp B, thus replacing B with a bigger HDD. And move the HDD in B to C so all comp get a bigger HDD apart from A.

And the ultimate problem is, when I tried to figure out which HDD in A had free space by attaching it to B, i found out i unplugged the wrong one. I went back to A to double check which HDD physically should I plug into B and suprisingly found out bith large HDDs cannot be found, only the system HDD can be found. I tried all possible combinations to restore all cables, slots and HDDs in the exact position as it was working before but I get either no bootable HDD or two big HDDs not dispalying on my computer.

So I have no idea what happened, I just unplugged one of the HDDs and plugged it in again and found out none of the drives were found apart from system disk. I have important files on these two HDDs and I need to get this solved ASAP. I apologise for a long explanation but I need to get this fixed very soon!!!! PLZZZZ
