I had a Molar Extracted on Saturday and I am still in a lot of pain. When I look at the extraction site in the mirror it is white. My Husband says that is normal but I though a blood clot was supposed to form and blood is not white. Does anyone know what color it is supposed to be 3 days after a tooth extraction?

My Doctor prescribed me Prozac for PMDD(Premenstrual dysphoric disorder) but only wants me to start taking it for the 14 days prior to my period and stop taking it once my period begins. I have been told to repeat this every month. I have read about Prozac and understand it is a SSRI. From what I have read a SSRI takes 4-6 weeks to have any affect. How is taking it for 14 days and then stopping going to help with my severe PMS symptoms?

My husband had a severe allergic reaction to Augmentin, Generic is Amoxicillin with Clavulanate. He was rushed to the ER, had basically stopped breathing, had temporary vision loss and swelled up. His blood pressure was up to 220 and almost died. The question I have is they told him he must be allergic to Penicillin but after reading about the medicine, I realized he has taken Amoxocillin before many times and never had a reaction. So what happened?

I have a step-son that is almost 12 years old. He lives with his mother about 200 miles away and only comes to visit twice a year. He was 5 when my husband and I met and I always knew something was wrong with him and as he gets older it is more apparent that he is not normal. Some examples are he shows absolutely no emotion, no smiles and he doesn't laugh. His biggest and only interest in life is video games. I try and engage him in a outdoor activity all the time with my children and he has no interest at all. When he eats he shuts his eyes and half the time he has a grunting look on his face. The worst part of all, he is 24/7 playing with himself in front of my 2 young children.My son is 5, my daughter is 2. When he comes to visit it is always an issue to not only get him to stop rubbing his penis through his pants but I have caught him rubbing up against my 5 year old. I feel he is going to someday molest or rape my kids. My husband thinks he is just different. Is this normal?

I have been working to clean up my husband's credit history. We had money problems back in 2005 and we having been paying off old accounts for the past year. He has one remaining left and we have been contacting by an attorney''s office. My question is how much should be settle for? The original amount charged off my the bak was $896.00. They "say" it is now at $1,700.00. For all his past collections I paid 40% of what was owed. Is this reasonable to ask in this situation? How much should I offer?

I have a 1996 Toyota 4Runner that has been sitting, not driven for almost 4 years. Six months ago we moved and when we went to start it, it was dead. We jump started it, let it run for about 20 minutes and then parked it. A few days later we moved and before we left, we started it, it started fine. We got to our new place and parked it. Didn't re-start it for another 3 months, tried again, battery dead. Bought brand new battery, put it in, worked fine. Parked it for another 3 months without starting it. Now, we are going to start driving it because we live in the mountains where it snows and want to get it ready for the winter. Went to start it today with the new battery, didn't start so we jump started it. Let it run for 20 minutes, moved it and turned it off. I tried to re-start it as soon as I turned it off and all I heard were clicks. No lights, no interior lights and no radio. Does this sound like battery or alternator?

I have a Panasonic DV401D Video Camera. It came with the software Movie Messenger but I always have problems while transferring video to my PC.It will shut down and throw and error code in the middle of transfer. Does anyone know if I can use another program for xfer from camera to PC?

i just got my TSH results back and want to make sure they are normal because I have all the symptoms of hypothyroid. I also have a goiter with a cyst. My TSH level was .89 and my t4 was 7.00. Thanks.

I was diagnosed with Goiter and a 3mm cyst on my thyroid after an ultrasound on my thyroid. I just today went and had a TSH blood test to determine is I have Hypothyroid. The question I have is my Doctor said I wouldn't need to take medication for the goiter if my blood test came back fine but I have read differently on the net. Does anyone out there that has goiter take thyroid meds for it? or do I just leave it enlarged and not do anything about it? I am confused. I do have a family history of hypothyroid. Both my sisters have it. I will know more once the blood tests come back but do I still need treatment with just a goiter?

I had ultrasound done on my thyroid last week because my dr. noticed my right thyroid was larger than the other. The test confirmed that there is a 3mm benign cyst on my right thyroid. Has anyone ever had this? He just said to have it checked again in one year. Doesn't that seem weird to just leave it there? My sister had the same thing but because of it she had an underactive thyroid and for the cyst they put her on medication that shrunk it before they explored surgery. Any experience in this out there would be perfect. Thanks so much.

I am renting a home in the mountains. It has tons and tons of very old and tall trees in the area and around the property. There is a tree that sits several hundred feet high in the backyard and it about 5 feet away from the back side of the house. The tree has been attacked by bark beetles and is completely dead. The bark beetles have started on another tree nearby which is also on its way to dying. I notified the homeowner/landlord about 3 months ago. At the time she said she couldn't afford to get it cut down but would do it within a few months. She said by Sept 1, 2007. My concern with this tree is that if it snapped and fell on the house, it sits right next to my 1 year old daughter's bedroom. If it fell, it would kill her instantly. I expressed my fear to the landlord and she assured me it would be cut down by September. She is ignoring my emails and recently put the house up for sale because she is having financial problems. What are my rights as a renter? Anything I can do?

I went to the Dr. and have a swollen thyroid. What does this mean? I didn't expect that. Whenever I type "swollen thyroid" in to yahoo. I get Thyroid Cancer. Has anyone ever had experiences with this? He didn't say a lump on my thyroid, he said swollen. He is ordering an Ultra Sound to determine what is going on but I wanted to hear from people what their experiences are with this. Any RN's or Docs out there would be great. If it is a sign of cancer, you can tell me. I am not scared of it. Also, I am a 35 year old female.

I started a diet about 8 weeks ago and have lost 23 pounds. I am feeling great even though I am not at my optimum weight yet. About 2 weeks ago I started noticing that I am having trouble falling asleep. Any reason for this? I even take Tylenol PM to try and help me fall and stay asleep.

I start dieting or as I like to say "Changed my eating habits" on June 15th of this year. I have since lost 23 pounds in 8 weeks. Or at least it was 23 pounds. I haven't cheated on my diet AT ALL, yet somehow I gained 3 pounds since my last weigh in a week ago. The only thing that has changed is that I started walking for an hour 4 nights a week instead of 2 nights a week and I am about to start my menstrual cycle in about 5 days. I know it isn't muscle gain because I have too much fat to burn for it to be muscle gain. By the way, I am 5'4" and started off at 190lbs and weighed in at 167 pounds last week and now weigh 170lbs(again). How does this happen? My goal is to get down to 120-130 lbs. Any experts out there that can explain why this would happen???

We moved in to a home for rent on 4/1/07. I just found out today that the homeowner wants to put the house up on the market only 4 months in to us living here. Is that legal? We signed a 1 year lease agreement and live in California. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

I had a collection agency collecting for a bad debt on one of my very past due credit cards. Long story but we got in to one of those teaser loans for our mortgage and it jumped all the way up to $3,400 a month so we were unable to make our minimum monthly payments and stopped paying on all our credit cards. We ended up selling our home and now are settling all of our past due accounts. All have gone to collection agencies and like a dummy I set up a payment 15 days from now to pay off one credit card. The reason why I say I am a dummy is because I just realized that I already paid off the credit card a month ago with a different collection agency. Has anyone ever heard of more than one collection agency collecting for a credit card account? Even though it was already paid off. I don't know if I got ripped off or what? Please advise if this has ever happened to you or any advice. I am going to cancel the post dated check so the actual credit card company doesn't get paid twice. Thanks.
