Need help with my 2004 Yamaha R1 Oil Pump/Water Pump?
I have gotten oil in my coolant, and coolant in my oil..It might be the head gasket, no doubt, but many people said (online forums) that my bike, has issues with the seal that is separating oil pump from water pump. They go bad, and when they do, the oil mixes with coolant and vise versa. Now, I am seeking from professional help, on how to take out both of the pumps, without messing up timing, and also without messing up anything else. I have removed the entire exhaust system, dropped the oil pan, and i can see the oil/water pump pretty good. What i do not know is how to remove it properly. Any help is help, I have searched and searched on google and forums on how to perform this task, but couldnt find any specific help on how to remove the pump.
Thank you!!!!!
3 AnswersMotorcycles8 years agoWhat car should I choose for beginning my racing career?
I am looking to hopefully get some feedback from pro's and experienced mechanics on some cars that I am interested in investing my time, money and love. I am trying to get into racing. I am not interested in drifting or drag racing, only road racing. I know everything (suspension and transmission and everything else) plays a big role in road racing. I am trying to get feedback/help on some particular cars that caught my attention. They are cheap and perfect for a start. I am not looking to buy a car for 15 grand and invest only 5. I would rather do it the other way around, buy a car for 5 grand, and invest more money into it. SO, NO SUPRAS OR RX-7's OR SKYLINES. Also no FF's as much as i love them, you cannot road race a FF in as much events as FR or RR
MR2 (1994 i believe) - RR sounds like the right combo for road racing,
300zx (1990-96) I know its a FR but I have owned this car, and the power to weight is great.
3000gt (any year) Also another FR, but never experienced the power to weight, so if anyone knows a little about them, dont be afraid of giving me feedback.
BMW M3 E36 - I know nothing about this car, so again, help please.
Mazda Miata - also know nothing about this car, except the fact that its light and super good at handling. Can the engine be swapped? turboed? how much space is under the hood?
s2000 - I know its a little over the budget, but I can get my hands on one for around 10, but i just have no idea about handling or transmission. All i know its a v-tec and its putting out something like 250 hp with a 4 cylinder.
So here you have some examples. Please don't be shy and comment on what you think. Dont be afraid to post some cars of your own vision that can make it on the race track, just please be realistic, because we all know that ferrari's and koenigsegg's are great, its just not everyone gets to start off with that much cash.
THANK YOU!!!
7 AnswersBuying & Selling8 years agoSilicone got in engine?
Ok, so I was taking off a balance tube off of a 1991 Nissan 300zx NA and obviously I had to scrub off the old silicone applied last year. I put the O-Rings back in place and I applied a thick layer of silicone on top of the rubber rings. I was wondering, if the silicone got in the engine when I was bolting down the balance tube back on, will it harm my engine in any way? Or is it going to just dry up and wont go anywhere?

Hi, im buying a used car, and i need some help from some car owners that had either one of the cars 00 Civic SI or 03 Acura CL 3.2 NON TYPE-S
So let me give you some facts about both cars, and hopefully i get some usefull feedback.
the Civic SI is year 2000, it is a clean title, and has 74k miles. No mods, all stock. I would like to know how long can it last me and whether the parts for it are expencive or not.
the CL 3.2 Non type - s is also a clean title, has 104k miles. no mods, all stock. BUT my friend told me that these cars are crappy on the transmission, IS THAT TRUE? and also the cost of the parts.
PLEASE help and all the answers will be helpfull! thank you once again!

1 AnswerOther - Music1 decade agoHelp me find a movie with Bruce Lee! 10 points for first right answer!?
Its like this. Young kid moves out to Seattle, and has like a garage to practice his kick boxing or whatever. Jean Claude Van Damme is in that movie as well. And Bruce Lee's Sould comes and helps that young kid to train and stuff. Then at the end he kick boxes with the Jean Claude! the movie is pretty old. I'd say 80's. or maybe early 90's. I NEED TO FIND THE NAME OF IT!!!

I need help. I was pulled over by an officer on a motorcycle. That time i was making a left turn and i was shifting from gear 2 to gear 3 on my prelude. from gear 2 the rpm was in 4500-5000. i saw a police officer on my right side maybe 50 ft ahead. he was going to make a right turn. so once i got up to 4500-5000, the cop seen me. i shifted gear, and next thing i know blue and red lights begin to flash. OK here is the info. i was doing around 53 MPH!!! he put 60+ on my ticket. and he made me sign it. he didnt ask me to sign it. he informed me that i have to sign. So i did, and i went on. The area i was doing 53 in, was a 45mph area. HE DIDNT HAVE A RADAR. He asked me my approximate speed, i told him around 45-50. He told me Bull **** and gave me a ticket. He told me if i told him the truth, i would get away with it. I have the court in January 2009. I am hoping for some advices please! What is the best way to contest my speeding ticket in the court?
