We are about to settle on a house that is set up for a washer, but not a dryer. There is no gas pipe for gas dryer, or 220v electrical outlet for electric dryer. I realize that it is some what subjective, but in general which is cheaper to set up and what is a ball park cost estimate for either. I live in the Pittsburgh area, in case anyone knows specifics for around here. But everyone's input is appreciated! Thank you

I cannot find any info on this. My husband is currently deployed, but thinking of going through OCS when he returns. That is one route we are considering. If he is an E4, would he be paid that rate while attending OCS, or is it a different rate? Thank you!

I don't know if anyone will have a constructive answer for me, but my 3 year old has been obsessed with other people's thumb nails and big toe nails for almost 2 years. It started out as a nervous habit. When we were in a strange place or around people he didn't know, he would pick at my fingernails. But now he does it all the time. Any time anyone is close enough, he tries to tug at they're nail or touch it with his fingertip. He's like a leech. I was reading him stories last night with my socks off and had to tell him twice to quit trying to sniff my toe nail. I tell him "no thumbs" and he stops, but not without getting an attitude. It drives me crazy!! I've not asked about it because it's just so weird. But can anyone offer a suggestion on how to nip this in the bud? And no, he shows no signs of autism.

My savings bonds are worth about $500. They have 3 years left to mature. In about 2 and a half years I intend to buy a house. In order to accumulate as much money as I can for a down payment, would it be beneficial for me to cash in the bonds and combined with some additional cash (possibly a total of $1000), put the money into CDs? Also, I will regularly have money to add.

That's what my husband is going to be. I am just wondering what the danger level is. I just want the facts. He can't change it now anyway.

My husband joined the NG in Philadelpia, but we have made the last minute decision that I would move to Pittsburgh. I have a lot of family there, which will help since he will be gone for training a lot and then certain deployment. I am wondering though about getting into a support group there in Pittsburgh, though, since no one understands what you are going through like other spouses and parents of military members. I just gave birth one week ago, by way of C-sec, and I have this huge flap of skin that hangs down. I remember a little flap with my first child that went away really quickly, but this thing looks like it will never go away. I am skinny otherwise and had only gained the bare minimum that one should gain during pregnancy-25 lbs, so it's not like its a bunch of flab. Can I possibly get rid of this eventually? My husband won't say anything, but come on-it's gross! I can't afford surgery.......I would just like to hear from women who have had this.

My husband was born and adopted in Colorado Springs. Can anyone tell me what the 1st step is that he would need to take in order to attempt to locate his birth parents? What does he have to do to get a hold of his adoption records? Do they have to be handed over to him if he requests them or does it depend on the circumstances?

Just killing some time before I have to leave for the hospital. I will be getting C-sectioned today, about noon. I am so excited to meet my 2nd son. I can't wait to find out if he'll have hair, what color it will be. Will he look more like his father, where as the first looked more like me? How much will he weigh? Etc, etc.........Just soooo excited!!!
