After ripping up carpeting to prep for a floating floor, a hump was discovered across the middle of my living rrom. The slope is noticeable now that the floor is bare and I have determined it is directly above the lally columns in the basement. I have received a few "opinions" regarding the remedy to level the floor. One option to level the floor is to remove the plywood and plane the floor joist until the floor is level. That option sounds much easier than jacking up the house and cutting the lally column. I'm concerned that thinning the floor joist may not be safe. Your opinion would be greatly appreciated.

Until 2 hours later - I had to find out on facebook - the baby was born @ 7pm it was on facebook from her other sister in law @ 7:12 - but the my mother in law and father in law didnt call to tell us until 9:30 - i missed the call, but texted a reply of well thanks for finally calling after 2 hours, sadly i had to find out the news on facebook insted of from my family - i was then called a ******* snot by my father in law - and my mother in law called me at 11pm to curse me out on my voicemail with a bunch of how dare you's and who do you think you are's - and where do i get off and how i stold her joy - you would think i wasnt close with them - I AM! i had just spoken to them @ 6pm that night with an update of the labor - im always at my sister in laws house - i talk to my mother in law about 5 times a week -email constantly

fact is - I was hurt I wasnt included in on the news earlier

am I wrong?

is uninterested and unhelpful - i have waited and waited - the only help she ever gave me was picking my date so it didnt interfere in another wedding she would be in - wouldnt you know that wedding isnt even happening when she said it was supposed to and now i have a planned date that was not my first choice - she my fiances sister - shes rude and crude - and also pregnant rite now and just got engaged after being with the guy living the married life for 15+ yrs - i dont know what to do - my mom wants to start planning my shower and she has tried to get in touch with the maid of honor about 6 times now with only 1 reply - which was to pretty much say to my mom that shes jumping the gun that theres no need to start planning the shower - my mom almost blew her top! - im in a tough spot - she has a very strong personality - i find it hard even talking to her these days - it was never like this before im at a loss - do i just do with out her assistance ? or say something? ugh!

we are moving into our new home end of march - would it be wrong to have the bridal shower soon after?

reason i would like to do this is so i dont have to go out and buy all new stuff to then just to get all the stuff on my registry soon after -

looking at houses to purchase a lot of them were built in the 60s n 70s - the real estate agent warned us of possible aluminum wiring in the houses being thats what they used then - before discovering the hazards of that material - she also said something about the possibilityhome owners insurance bing difficult to obtain -

how much does this cost to convert? any other info would be great

I work in an office building and we have a cafeteria. There is a woman there who works the register and and sets up some of the foods. She will talk to any1 who has ears and will share very personal information with them like how she knows her husband is cheating on her, how her whole building knows he cheats, how shes hears her husband and this woman having loud sex down the hall from her, how she saw them come home from the beach together and she got out his car with her bikini on, and today the latest......... she has to go to the gynecologist because she thinks she has chlamydia -

this information has sadly come my way over paying for breakfast and lunch - i also heard some other departments talking about her

i dont understand why she shares such embarassing, personal information with people who are not even her friend - just passers by - i know i wouldnt even ever want to know her if i didnt have to pay her for my orange juice in the morning and my tuna @ lunch

should there be a complaint filed with hr?

im trying to lose weight - i work out 6 days a week @ the gym jogging 2 to 3 miles on treadmill and i use some of the weight machines - currently i have been eating around 1800 calories a day - and i have eliminated dairy and soda completely -

any suggestions?

I dont know what it is but ever since i can remember, no1 ever (besides fiance) thinks about or takes my feeling into consideration -

example - im out shopping and see a realllly cute frog t-shirt and think oh my god melissa would love this i have to get it for her -NO1 EVER DOES THIS FOR ME

example -entire family made plans to go to disney princess' on ice - eventho im 27 i looooove disney forever and have lots of disney princess related stuff - no 1 called me to see if i wanted to come, there was even an extra ticket they brought along some neighbor kid- WHAT THE HELL?

example - some1 in house mad over their full bottle of juice being dumped out - they are really pissed off about this - i feel they are right in being annoyed and i say yea ur right and help them feel validated in geting snotty with who did it - BUT - ill go to a gourmet deli and buy my favorite pasta salad bring it home eat a little and save for later or next day - to only go back to find it gone - im now enraged - BUT im over reacting and i complain too much

why is it like this - do ppl just not care about my feelings?

yes we offered to move in and help out cause it would help us too - we r saving for a wedding - well lets just say we are paying 100 less then what we were living on our own and having privacy

she works for her common law hubby - 10+ yrs uh yea id say so - anyway - she goes to his offiice maaayyyybe 3 times a wk when shes not busy running around spending his money and she enters invoices and prints out bills - she calls this working - i disagree - work is when you go to a job consistantly because you have to not because your bored and have nothing else to do and forbid him from hiring an office person/chick to do so

her child is the by far the most annoying kid i have ever met - spoiled rotten! - never corrected - does whatever the hell he wants

she knows i do not have a good relationship with my mom - when we are all together, she hugs and holds her mom and calls her mommy - the womans not dying and shes usually complaining about her when shes not around - what gives? maybe this part is just me

im 6ft tall and 210 - would like to be around 190-185ish

i go to the gym 5 days a week and i do 1 hr on the treadmill on a hill setting with inclines that go up and down and i use free weights as i walk - switching up all the different ways i lift them - im also watching my food intake cause i must - and i consume just about 1800 calories a day (if that) - and its water only for me

my ultimate goal is weight loss and getting rid of this arm fat! - i had gastric bypass a few yrs ago - it doesnt all go away by itself ya know! haha -

anyway if you can offer up a suggestion that would be great - thanks!!

I feel like shes trying to ruin my day a little here and there -

1- shes with my bf for 10+ yrs hes 10000% getting married - her and i r quite close so i figured i would ask her to be my maid of honor and focus on helping me as opposed to being upset her younger brother is marrying before her

2- i go to book the wedding venue - and she insists i cant book the day i want cause her best friend who's not even engaged but swears she will be soon will use that day cause she has off of work and that is the best wknd for her yadda yadda - ok fine i booked the next week - only to find out ok her friend did get engaged but will be planning for an entirely different month!

3- i have my save the dates and she offered to print the labels- ok that was a month ago and i have them all sealed up with stamps on em ready for an address label - but she keeps forgetting

my wedding is in 11 months - i got engaged 5 months ago and all this nonsense has happend - what should i expect ? should i call her out on it ???

oooooooooooooo heres the kicker

fiances mom is thrilllllllled!! until the sister is around where she then just ignores or blows off anything regarding the wedding - and that hurts ..

I had a terrible relationship with my mom growning up and father was never in picture -she inflicted physical and mental abuse on me - custody of me was even given to my grandma for a few yrs - im 26 now and i keep my distance from my mom but i do call her daily to see how she is - if i see her too often we argue - so annnyway to my question -

i am getting married next novemeber and i dont want any1 walking me down the aisle - if any1 would it would be my grandma - but i think that would really hurt mom and i would just like to leave all in the past and not hurt any1 -

so i want to walk myself down - am i wrong? how do i go about informing her on my choice - we have touched this subject once before and it didnt end pretty - but im serious no1 is accompanying me on the trip down

went to the drs had full vitamin workup - severely anemic and vitamin deficent - started taking 2 multis - 1500 b12 - 3 iron sulfate 325 -2 calcium citrate 600 - 2 vit d - all this daily - can this cause me to go to the bathroom more?

I lost my job should I tell my landlord? would he be legally allowed to evict me from my apartment? is job loss a reason to break a lease? where do i stand? im at a loss of what to do - unployment will run out for me in late march and im not having luck finding a job

if i ate this 2 times a day and drank plenty of water throughout the day - is this ok to eat is this bad to eat? im low on money and i could lose a few pounds - what do you think?
