not getting paid, am I being unreasonable?
I guess you would call me an independent sub contractor...I work for a contractor but am not officially an employee. I work for them regularly and depending on the job usually get paid every two weeks sometimes more often if smaller jobs. recently we have done two jobs that the contractor didn't get paid for. It's now been over a month for one and two months for the other and I still haven't been paid for them. Contractor claims they will pay me when the homeowner pays them. I feel this isn't fair to me. I don't really work for the homeowner (or I would have got more money upfront to cover my employees) I also don't have stocks in this company, is it my problem they didn't get paid? I have no contact with homeowner I can't ask for money from them or get reason why not.
Am I being unreasonable? Is this common practice?
one job was complete the other was not completed and won't be by us but again is that my problem the contractor is having issues with the homeowner?

2 AnswersDecorating & Remodeling1 decade agoI got a parking ticket on my car, then realized it wasn't written for my car now what?
I got a parking ticket, yeah I was mad like everyone else just threw it in and looked at it later...it's not for my car...totally different make and plate...So my delema is that I think I was still guilty of a parking infraction so I am worried that the officer wrote two tickets and put them on the wrong cars, or some goof switched them. I would like to just ignore this but don't want to find out that I do have an outstanding ticket and will end up paying a fortune for it. How does one find out if there is a ticket issued...police station? or is there another facility? I am in Toronto if anyone local knows

1 AnswerMusic1 decade agoa faucet that was permanently attached to the sink?
this is for the old time plumbers....we have a real old faucet on a sink in one of the apts...when trying to replace it...it wouldn't loosen even a smidge....all nuts under the counter were removed...I even went so far as to remove all guts on topside...whacked it with hammer repeatedly but it won't budge...did they , way back in the day, sell taps attached to the sink, or attached them permanently somehow?
