I'm unaware if this topic has been brought to question here before,anyway i had a thought of concern regarding the Indian batsmen (some of them) being vulnerable to short-pitched deliveries while playing in overseas conditions against an top quality bowling attack.

This being the main cause to the ignominious performance in overseas resulting in 8 back to back defeats in test matches, what major steps and improvements have Indian batsmen made to counter this weakness. Even in this champions league t20 they lack the skill to face chin music, as they find it hard & threating in facing those raising deliveries. Players have moved on from those debacles but still are exposing their inability to face these raising deliveries.

Are BCCI bothered about this disgraceful performance and yet they remain silent on tackling the situation while hoping that players will move-on and improvise. At least with 2015 WC in back of their mind and being the defending champions what chances do you think India have when they will have to fight it out in such a Hostile territory (Australia)? Please care to share a genuine solution to this.

I myself have two solutions:

1) Start developing fast bouncy tracks in the country and most of the matches at first class level & international level should be played. Thus Indian batsmen can work on a technique to face such deliveries and it will drastically improve the Indian fast bowling as well.

2) BCCI should stop being naive and give up their arrogance of holding back their players from participating in other t20 leagues (Bigbash,SLPL,BPL). If given the oppurtunity they can play in different conditions in different parts of the world and develop a strategy for them against such weakness.

why are there 4 teams from ipl while only 2 each from Australia, south Africa, England.

Why is that champions from t20 league in srilanka, Pakistan and westindies have to go through a qualifying stage while a team like Mumbai who only on the basis of being the title holder gets a free pass though they didn't make it to the finals in ipl.

Do you think that clt20 is giving ipl teams(non-finalists) an undue advantage while the deserving teams have to pass an early test?

i think the winner and runner up from each t20 competition in their respective nation should be included without any qualifiers.
