How do I pick up golf this summer?
I'm going to have a lot of free time this summer in San Francisco and I would love to finally learn how to play golf. How much and where would be the best place to pick up all the clubs I would need? Do I need to join a golf course or can I just go golf for a certain price and how much usually? How about lessons are they pretty expensive? Thanks!!
3 AnswersGolf8 years agoHow can I sell a stock at a certain price after buying it?
Is there some type of sell order in which I can set a stock to sell above the price I bought it for? Would this be a stop order? New to all this! Thanks!
3 AnswersInvesting8 years agoSomeone tell me how hiking/tenting works?!?
I'm looking to go camping this weekend. I live in San Francisco to preferably somewhere in northern California. I've never been but I would love to end up in a state park or foresty type place where I can just hike with my buddies and tent out wherever we stop. No reservations or anything. Can I do that? And at what such places? Thanks! I'm way too new at this...
1 AnswerOther - Games & Recreation8 years agoHow do I deal with these cops?
So I was at my friends house party. Cops came by and shined the lights on the door. I figured I would go and and just talk to them since I've had experience be from them showing up at my own house. Soon as I open the door and try and close it behind me the 2 cops grab my hands ands the main cop yells at me saying "you're trying to grab at an office" and they are both just holding me in the most uncomfortable position for about 4 minutes. I had stitches on my shoulder which were hurting, I had a watch on and my wrist was just being torn apart. Eventually they let me go too these other 2 officers they are like " oh you're the kid who threw the hollowed party, the kid who thinks he runs this whole area, no respect for cops, if you grabbed me your face would not look the same , I would have bashed it on that ledge" the tops cops were just going off on me. The whole time I'm just like
"I'm sorry officers" in reality, I was so respectful as my Halloween party that they rolled. I'm an educated college citizen that knows my rights and I would never do something so dumb as to put a cop in dangerous or even feel on danger. It's bs, I always give cops the benefit of the doubt but I've had enough, they are all power tripping *** holed taking there job to another level. Cops have no respect now they how much I give.

2 AnswersOther - Business & Finance8 years agoWhat questions can I ask during my finance interview?
I interviewed with a wealth management firm a couple days ago, I thought it went very well. I interviewed with 2 people separately and I had a list of questions I was able to ask each of them. Some general questions like " how did you get started", " what have past interns go onto do" and I also asked some questions to try and show off a bit haha for example I asked them about the Dodd-Frank acts and how that is/will affect them. Well I got called into another round of interviews which is a group interview, same 2 people will be there along with the owner of the firm. All my questions have been asked and answered! What else could I ask? Any ideas for some intellectual questions I could ask the owner etc? Thanks!
1 AnswerOther - Business & Finance8 years agoWhat's the deal with the Fiscal cliff?
How is the fiscal cliff going to affect the equity and bond market? If no agreement is made, and we fall off the cliff are the markets going to decline? Less disposable income for consumers/ businesses? Just trying to get my head around the whole thing and understand it more! Thanks

4 AnswersOther - Taxes8 years agoIs entering my roomates room trespassing?
My roomate left for about 6 weeks, continued paying rent. There are 8 of us and we are all on the leasing contract. When he came back he said we had broken into his room, also the morning he came was coincidentally the only night where we had a friend visit from out of town as we let him crash in our roomates bed ad the next morning the roomate came to get his stuff (7 weeks after he left) and saw someone in his room, though obviously he hadnt moved in or anything. The roomate is now saying he won't pay for next months rent because " it was occupied and my room was broken into" . Our contract says everyone has to pay rent until they find a roomate to replace them. Can this guys just say he isn't going to pay nex months rent because he thinks we broke in and have been using his room? Is that considered trespassing?
3 AnswersRenting & Real Estate8 years agoMy roomate is trying to screw us over! Help?
I live in a large house with 8 roomates. We all pay separate pricing based on the size of the rooms, we all signed a contract amongst ourselves and part of it explained that any roomate that leaves is responsible to pay rent until a new roommate is found to pay their end of rent, and the replacement roommate must be approved by 5 of the current roomates. A month and a half ago one of of our roommates just left one day, we didn't hear from him and where kept in the dark by him and his family. His mom came 2 weeks after he hadleft to pack some of his stuff and fix his broken door. They left the keys to his room. 2 more weeks went by we hasn't heard anything from them and his room was pretty emptied out. Over thanksgiving one of the roomates had a guest over who ended up sleeping in the empty bed of our roomate who moves out...well the next morning the roomates returned to get the rest of his things and saw the guest sleeping in his room. His mom now is giving me so much hassle on paying the rent. Here is her latest text message to me " Dear Kyle, I spoke with My husband and we will deposit 530.00 this month in order to give you time to work out the rent situation with whoever has already taken possession of Sam's room and bathroom. Upon his return on Nov 22nd, his room had been broken into and was occupied. Due to the nature of My sons medical leave of absence and what we observed while at the house, it is clear that he not only cannot return, but cannot be expected to contribute any further rent.
Sincerely,
Sandy
Now his room was not broken into, we had the keys and needed it to get in since our roomate had a history of taking our things and us finding them all in his room. No one had moved into His room, just a guest who has slept the night there. I'm not sure what to do! I'm no lwayer, just a college student anything to handle this and not get screwed over by this nuts family. I'm thinking legally they must pay until a replacement is found since we are legally binded to our contract but can they argue our contract is voided due to them finding someone in his room one morning? I mean none of us knew where he was and his room was empty an unused for 6-7 weeks!! Need help! Thanks
2 AnswersLaw & Ethics8 years agoHow could I have handles these cops better?
We planned a Halloween party over the weekend, hires bouncers for the door, and the party was poppen all the way up to 12am when the cops showed. One was driving by around 11:30 and saw a bunch of college kids entering the house and asked the bouncers what was going on and he explained so the cop left. I'm thinking he called other officers who showed up at 12. Most of the officers were nice besides one that was leading them and was on a total power trip. He kept asking me questions about minors drinking in which I said I'm not sure if minors where drinking and my bouncer said they weren't and he was checking I.d's. the cop said " ok let me just come in and look at the first couple people I.d's and if they are 21 I will leave" me knowing that there was a small chance They would be 21 I told him that I do not consent to his search. He said something like " well you're giving me probable cause that there might be minors drinking" I think he was his trying to get to me and I told him I'm not consenting to it. He then said " ok you know what, I'm going to call the fire department, they are going to come check fire hazards and get you for over capacity since its a fire hazard, then I'm going to get your college police to cope and write you all up". At that point my roomate and I started worrying and as much as we tried talking it out with the officer he was not having it. I wasn't sure if I was just allowed to leave and go back inside , if he could call fire department and have them barge in, or what? My roomate then told the officer ok come in, luckily all 150 people cleared the living room and all went to our basent and garage where the party was mostly at. The cop walked in and saw nobody there, no alcohol, nothing! Haha it was awesome he came In with his flashlight on and ready for some busts an there was not a single person there, the door to the hallway was closed too so I don't think he could open it or I'm not sure why he didn't , he just said " oh you think you're smarter then me"? And walked out, at the point people were freakish out in the house and we let them leave and eventually the cop left. How could I have handled this better? He said he got noise complaint but the noise level coming out of the house was very low and I notified my neighbors anyways. Is there a way where I could have just gotten them to leave and let me continue partying?! Is he allows to bring fire department and have them open the door? Thanks
1 AnswerLaw Enforcement & Police9 years agoHow to tell my neighbors about my big Halloween party?
My 7 roommates and i scored an awesome house in during or college years. So far we have thrown 2 massive parties with around 200 people and we wrote a letter to our nieghbors before hand and included a bottle of wine the first time which they thanked us for. Luckily they were ok with it, 3 weeks later we threw another. They are pretty understanding with the whole thing that we are in college and enjoy ourselfs and we are super nice and respectful towards all of them. We are throwing another large party for halloween around 4-5 weeks after the last. The thing is wer're hiring 2 cerified bouncers to watch the door and the street to make sure people aren't being loud or disturbing the neighbor's. I don't know if i should mention to the neighbors that there will be bouncers there to make sure everything goes smoothly? Would that scare them that we are doing something over the top? Plus it is halloween weekend i feel like they would be more lenient? i live in San Francisco by the way in a pretty suburban part by the beach.

5 AnswersOther - Taxes9 years agocan someone explain to me what changes the price of a stock?
I can't seem to figure this out! I get the concept of supply and demand but how does a corporations suces and growth make people want to buy more of it's stocks? It's not share holders receive any of the profits that these companies see so why does people demand the stocks of successful companies? What causes the demand and prices to change? Thanks!

1 AnswerGoogle9 years agoWhat gift can i give my neighbors to get on their good side?
So i just moved in to a house with my college roomates. My roomates being idiots and not having a key thought the side door was open so they jumped our side gate which is shared with the neighbors. The nieghbor yelled at them and threatened to call the police since she thought no one lived there. She was maybe a early 30's woman. We went over later and aplogized and introduced ourseleves and she just semed a little scared and cold at first...i don't blame it since it was a bar first impression. I saw her husband the next day, is is a tow truck driver and kind of looks like a bad *** dude i wouldn't mess with but we talked and i apoligized again and he seemed a little more cool about it like " ya we're going to be neighbors so lets just put that behind us". Anyways i want to be on their good side cause i know we might not be the best of neighbors and i would really like a good relationship with them. I wouldn't even mind having them over for sports games etc since we have a large 102 inch screen we watch games on and he looks like a sports fan. But i'm thinking maybe leave a little gift at their door with a note on it saying sorry and how we look forward to a good relationship? maybe thats too much? and what would i give them? They don't look like the chocolate eating neighbors, more like the corona type but i don't leaving that would be appropriate haha. Any ideas? Thanks!
4 AnswersEtiquette9 years agoWhat is an affordable way to sound proof my garage?
My neighbor doesn't really like us too much and it gets a little loud in my garage and we like to play music. What's the best, cheapest and easiest way to sound proof it to isolate the sound in the garage? There's 2 windows and air vents in garage doors which I think most of the sound is escaping from. How can we board the windows as well? Thanks!
