What mobile internet can I get that will be good for playing flash games on?
I recently got a laptop but cannot get an internet plan at my house. I've been looking at getting mobile internet such as Virgin Mobile or AT&T with a type of modem that I plug into my computer and could use anywhere. I particularly play a lot of flash games on Facebook, and am leary about buying one that will only give me enough MB to play for a little while and then I will have to buy more time to be able to use it for the month. The options I've been looking at include one that has 2 MB per month that I can use and one that has 5 MB that I can use. I don't understand how much time this might give me considering I'm playing these games. All the charts and comparisons I've seen show only compared with emails or downloads of songs. I don't want to purchase a certain amount, and get locked into a commitment and then have to buy more later in the month because it's not enough. Please help!!! Thanks!!!
3 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks9 years agoHow long should a battery in a laptop run without running out of power?
I bought a "refurbished laptop" for Christmas for a very good price and it works perfectly! The only problem I'm having is that my battery runs out pretty quickly. The store exchanged it when I told them that it was running out after about 1/2 hour. They told me they should be good for an hour, especially since I play a lot of flash games on Facebook. The one they gave me now runs out after about 45 minutes, and they now say that's about average with the games I play and won't exchange it. Someone else I talked to said they should be going for about 3 hours. What should I expect? Serious answers only please! Thank you in advance!
7 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks9 years agoWhat does prorating a tire mean?
I went to a local tire place on March 31, 2011 and bought a "New Used tire". Within the last week, I've been feeling the front end wobbling, and the steering wheel shimmying, and when my husband looked at it, he said that there's a bubble on the inside of the tire. I took it back to this place today, and felt confident that I'd get another one because I had the receipt which said "prorate 6 months or 6,000 miles." The guy told me he's prorating it and it would cost me $40. I was told that I hit something (a pothole, perhaps), and that's what caused the bubble. He was actually going to have the mechanic put that tire back on the car because I didn't have the money at the time, but the mechanic said if I drove with it on there, it could explode on me, so he put the spare on for me. He also told me that whether I hit something or not he should be standing by his tires. I'm so confused. Can anyone give me advice about this? Serious answers only, and no rude comments, please! I'm just trying to understand this, that's all! Thanks!
4 AnswersMaintenance & Repairs10 years agoHow do I defrost a roast quickly?
I have a roast that I need to cook today in the slow cooker, but only found out yesterday that I needed to make it, so took it out of the freezer then. I didn't know if putting it in the slow cooker while frozen was okay, but just to cook it longer, or if I should somehow defrost it in the microwave first would be okay. Serious answers only, please, and explain the method for doing either way. Thank you in advance!!
4 AnswersCooking & Recipes1 decade agoIs it possible to know you're having a heart attack from your vital signs?
Someone I know said they had a major heart attack and now are in A-Fib just from taking their vitals. She refuses to go to the hospital, but does have a doctor that's treating her. But, she monitors her status by taking her vitals and says she knows she has had a major heart attack and now in a-fib. Is this possible?

1 AnswerOther - Business & Finance1 decade agoHow do I make some words I put on a dry erase board permanent?
I know I could write with a permanent marker, but I'd rather spray something over it, that would not wipe off, if that would work. Does anyone know of a spray that could be used for this? Starch, maybe? I don't know, please help!
2 AnswersDrawing & Illustration1 decade agoIs there a test that doctor's use to test if a person is faking pain?
I was referred by my doctor to the er the other day because I had been vomiting/nauseous for about 10 days, with pain in the upper left quadrant of my belly. When I went in, they ran different tests, and were unable to find anything. At one point, the doctor hit the bottoms of my feet and asked if it hurt in my belly, which it did not. I thought I had heard that doctor's test if a person is faking pain by hitting the bottoms of a persons feet and watch for the reaction. Is this true? And, what should the reaction be if a person is faking it? I'm concerned that they thought I was faking it because I had no pain when he did that, but I was being honest that it did not hurt there. Any serious answers would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

3 AnswersPain & Pain Management1 decade agoAny websites to find what my 1993 $20 bill is worth?
I'm trying to find a website where I can find out how much my bill is worth or does anyone know what it might be worth? I know collectors also look at the uniqueness of a serial number, and mine has every other number being a zero until the last 2 numbers. It has a B before the serial number and a D after it. It also has the number 2 on it 4 times, twice next to the word "twenty" and twice next to the big circled B. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Serious answers only please!

3 AnswersOther - Business & Finance1 decade agoHow much is it to build a website?
I am looking to make a website. I have already checked out intuit.com, and see that they will charge me $5 a month. But, I know there must be other costs associated with it, like buying a domain name, having it posted to "search engines", etc. Can anyone give me a ballpark figure on how much it would be? Thanks!
7 AnswersProgramming & Design1 decade agoIs there a website to find out what a star dollar is worth?
I have a $1 and a $20 bills that have a star at the end of their serial numbers. I know what they mean, but I have heard they are worth more than their face value. I can't find a website to find out the value, so I'm not sure if that's true or not. On ebay, people are bidding for star dollars, so maybe??? I'm confused! Can anyone help me find one?
Thanks in advance for your help!

5 AnswersOther - Computers1 decade agoWould a car near repossesion be at risk for...?
Due to financial circumstances, we are at 50 days past due on our car loan payment. We owe $719 and are being told we had to pay $90 as of today to avoid repossession. We did get a repossession notice back in the beginning of October, and paid some since then but apparently another $90 is owed. Our due date is the 10th of each month and I tried to call to say I can pay $419 on the 5th, but the rep I spoke with said they needed it by today and wouldn't put it through on our bank account that we guarantee payment. We're thinking of moving our car until we can pay it on Tuesday, but would the tow company/repossession company look in the surrounding streets for the car or just look at our driveway? Thanks!

2 AnswersOther - Pets1 decade agoCan you clean wood cabinets with car wax?
My mom had heard on a home improvement show that you can use car wax to clean wood cabinets. Has anyone ever heard of this, or if so, if there's anything special that needs to be done to it? Also, if there's a better way to get out thick grime from wood cabinets, could you please let me know? Thanks in advance!
