  • Photogs: How do you make your image CD's?

    Hello!

I need advice on how you create your image CD's. I'm just a hobbyist, so no need to get in the print release vs. selling prints debate. I know how to edit, save, burn, all that good stuff...but I am a little confused with the sizing in regards to printing the images. Is there one size that the image should be saved as that will look good for any print size? Or do you have to make a few different saves for each image? Ex: Picture1(5x7) and Picture1(8x10).

When a photog says you'll be getting 5 images on a CD - does that mean they literally give 5 files, or more like 10-15 for each of the 5 pics at 2-3 at different sizes?

I just want the recipients to be able to print in whatever size they would like, whether it be wallet or 8x10, and I just need someone to please kind of explain how this works.

(Please excuse my ignorance on the subject - I'm just now learning!)

    Thanks!!

  • Why are my images defaulted to a resolution of 72?

I would like to be able to edit pictures in photoshop & burn them to a CD for friends & family to print in any size they want. All the images I've taken are showing a resolution of 72. I understand this should be around 300 for printing. Is this a setting on my camera that I need to adjust?? I have a Canon T3. And if so, does that mean all the current pictures I have won't be any good for printing?

    Please help!

  • Need help with image size!?

I'm brand new to photography/photoshop and I'm a little confused with image size. I want to be able to burn pictures to a CD so that my friends/family can print in whatever size they'd like. I'm using PSE10 and when I go to image size, the default width shows as 72, height as 48, and resolution as 72.

This doesn't sound right at all. Do I need to change the Image size settings to each picture that I edit? Usually I've seen the resolution around 300....

    Please help!

  • Where can I find printed or pattern tulle?

I am learning how to make tutu's and saw a vendor at a festival this weekend with beautiful tutu's that I would like to make. I'm not sure what it would be called, but she used tulle that had a print - such as leopard, zebra, army camo.

I've looked everywhere, but i'm only finding the solids and shimmers. Can anyone help???

  • Best deal for Canon T3i?

This is my first time to buy a DSLR and as a single mom, it's important that I research to get the best deal! I've decided to go with the Canon t3i. I would even consider purchasing a used/refurbished camera, but didn't have any luck looking on craigslist or ebay, so I guess I will just buy a brand new one.

I'm hoping to land a black friday sale on a Canon t3i, but haven't found anything yet! Any tips from people that buy cameras a lot more than I do would be great!

  • This Mommy wants awesome pics! Which DSLR should I purchase?

    Hello!

I'm in the VERY early stages of research for purchasing a DSLR camera as a hobby. Initially, I would just like to learn about photography and use it for indoor & outdoor portraits. I'm not interested in video, or shooting pictures of sports, landscapes, or wildlife.

I have read many of the reviews which have been extremely helpful, but also a little overwhelming with all the different styles, brands, and models. I will definately continue researching, but would also love any advice along the way.

I understand that with cameras, you get what you pay for. My budget is no more than $1000 to begin...possibly more in the future as I actually learn what I'm doing and want to upgrade.

Please forgive my amateurism on the subject. I have the creativity...I have a head FULL of photography ideas. Now I just need to figure out the best camera for me and teach myself how to make it do what I want :)

  • Celebrities/Famous people that previously received Welfare or Government benefits?

I need help with an assignment at work. I'm needing several examples of famous people that received government benefits at some point in their life. The only one I can think of is JK Rowling.

  • Divorce finalized - he still has 60 days to fight it?

My divorce was finalized and approved by a judge today. My ex had signed a waiver so I didn't notify him of the court date as my lawyer advised me not to. Now he is upset (I think he will do everything in his power to contest every sentence in the decree just to make my life hell), and says that he still has 60 days to fight it. Is this true? How does that work?

I was so relieved thinking my nightmare was over for sure...now i'm not so certain...

  • How do I prevent my ex from claiming our kids for taxes?

I'm going through a divorce (which will hopefully be finalized in a week or so), and my lawyer told me that I can claim both of my children on taxes because I have the right to designate their residence and I've had them more than their father this year.

My ex however, wants to split them -he claims one and I claim one. I've decided not to do this because he owes me money for several different things. My concern is that he will file his taxes before I'm able to, and claim one of the children, then I won't be able to.

How does this work? Is there anyway to prevent it?

  • Can my husband be the one to file the divorce papers with myself listed as the Petitioner?

I'm trying to get by with a cheap/uncontested divorce by doing it myself. I have my Original Petition for Divorce completed, but can't take a day off from work to actually go file. My question is, can he go file the divorce papers even though I'm listed as the Petitioner, or will I have to change him to the Petitioner?

  • Any ideas for a yummy Thanksgiving side dish?

Someone is already bringing rice/broccoli casserole, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, dressing, macaroni and cheese... all the good stuff has already been taken.

The guy that I just started dating asked me to come over and help him cook a side dish for his Thanksgiving feast at work, and wants to know if I have any ideas on what we should cook. I want to impress him of course, but I have absolutely no ideas and suck at cooking!! Help!

  • What does "sprung" mean?

I just started talking to this guy and he told one of his friends that I was sprung.

What does that mean? Is that bad? Good? Either?

I sorta like the guy, so it's driving me crazy not knowing what sprung means!

  • Why are the PDF files I try to open in jibberish??

I have the latest version of Adobe Reader, but when I tried opening a document emailed to me, the display was in some kind of jibberish.

The message says to choose the option that makes your document readable, but none of them are readable.

    Please help! It's important.

  • Alpine Access Agents???

I have a phone interview with this work-at-home company today, and I'm very nervous!

Can anyone that is an agent of theirs, or has been through the hiring process tell me what kind of questions they may ask, and what to expect? Any other first hand experiences w/ this company would be helpful.
