OK, so I am trying to make an AMV, and the clip of video I am using is really short and I want to stop it for a small amount of time to split the screen and put other media on it. In an alley-way, a hunter stalks her prey. It is cold, unnaturally for mid-June. Catrina saunters over to a young man.

"Hello, my name is Angelique ." she says pleasantly, showing her gleaming teeth, "and what may you be doing out on a night like this? Especially when it is this cold" she is still smiling.

"Um, hi" her prey smiles back a little uneasily "I'm Tyler"

"I thought so, I saw you walking with your friend, I overheard most of it. I also saw I would meet a boy named Tyler yesterday, hmm, you do smell wonderful"

"Um thank you, I think."

"Unfortunately for you, I was hunting when you interrupted me, and you do smell..." she sniffs "utterly delectable"

"What do you mean?"

"It means, Tyler that you should run."

Chapter 1:-

I walked away from the drained body I had just deposited in a large bin. He hadn’t put up much of a fight, it was hardly even fun. Not much was fun these days though. It’s not that I don’t enjoy the thrill of the chase, but I feel a niggling at the back of my mind, it has been getting stronger this past century, I had always had it, from the time I was re-born— or created, whatever you want to call it—in 1670. I didn’t think much of it until now, it was just there, but I am beginning to feel that maybe, just maybe, what I do is wrong. I am feeling this, but all the time trying to override it, it is what I am, I can’t go against my nature.

I wondered through the maze of alleyways and dead-ended streets that make up most of down-town Port Angeles. I leapt over another wall, into a garden. I couldn’t be bothered to change my route today. It would just make me think more about the damage I had just inflicted. I was going longer without feeding, and I was suffering for it, my eyes had been black for so long that they looked permanently coloured that way, and the burn in my throat was so unbearable that I felt like I was on fire.

I made my way to my usual haunt, five miles away from any house or building that was inhabited, or had been within the past 50 years. Not many of vampires came these parts, and loneliness was something that came from living in highly populated areas. The good thing was that I got most of this area to myself as a hunting ground.

I approached the small derelict cottage I had been using as a house, if not a home. The roof was collapsing in places, and most of the inside walls were missing, but I liked it. I had been living here for around 15 years, only hunting when I felt I couldn’t cope with the burning, which was once every month or so. As I said, I had been going longer and longer without feeding, my record was two months and three days; but by that time, I was practically going out of my mind.

There weren’t any new smells within a mile or so of the house, even the smells of the animals were absent close to my hiding place. They tended to give me a wide berth; they have a better reaction to vampires than the average human. But then again, it is humans we are meant to attract. My pale, perfect skin, long eyelashes, coupled with my forever-16 looks make me the perfect predator, even my voice – which is a velvety soprano – is attractive.

Once I entered the small room to the north of the house and sat down, I was immediately flung into a vision, like a memory, but of the future, instead of the past. I saw a male vampire, tall and leonine, with cropped black hair, but what was strangest of all, was the colour of his eyes, a deep gold iris around a jet-black pupil. He was stood at a small 60’s-style bar with a neon light behind the counter. He would be there soon, within the next month or so. And he was surrounded by Humans! How he managed to stand so close, yet resist the urge to hunt them seemed impossible to me!

I felt a pull towards the male in the vision, something I had not felt before. I over-rode it quickly, I would not follow the tug at my heart, it would only bring trouble. But I was curious, about his golden eyes, and how he was able to stand surrounded by the objects he was hunting.

I dragged myself out of the hallucination, not wanting to give the bud of curiousness any food to make me find the strange gold-eyed male.

I set about making myself comfortable enough to meditate; I emptied my head of all thoughts and feelings, and plunged into the medium of the future. I didn’t look at anything in particular, I just saw the flash of events that could happen and would happen. I could stay like for days, but I didn’t have the patience for that today. I crept back to my body after just half an hour. I would go for a run, I told myself, and I did.

I ran until I reached a small forest twenty miles away from my cottage. It had only taken me ten minutes. There was a strange smell here, sort of like a dog, only woodsier, and with human scent mixed in. It was close, only behind the first line of trees. I sunk into a defensive position. my little brother has a dress up day and he wants to go as the ice dragon out of a book he saw on jackanory junior. it is about a "two leg" boy, who finds a book, who is held captive by a fire dragon, the ice dragon helps, and gets evaporated and turns into a cloud.
